  1. Creek Wood High School 2005 Schedule 0 Sycamore 1 Station Camp 2 @ Marshall Co. (region) 3 OPEN 4 Montgomery Central (region) 5 @ Rossview 6 @ Page (region) 7 Lipscomb (region) 8 Cheatham Co. (region) 9 @ Giles Co. (region) 10 @ Spring Hill (region) Pretty tough schedule, but that is what makes it fun. thumb
  2. Greenbrier Pearl Cohn Sycamore White House Station Camp I don't know much about Macon and Dekalb these aren't good football programs
  3. "So with the sands thru the hourglass, so are the days of our lives". Dickson County Football--Soap Opera. What are they going to do next? 2 of the coaches on staff have already been head coach at Dickson before, Coach Pearson has been the coach 3 seperate times. From what I know, they are great coaches, but are they going to recycle or go out and get new blood? Tough region (6-5A), they better get someone with a lot of energy. I agree with an earlier post, Gaddis will make a difference at Henry County, especially with the addition of a very talented Frosh class, and Independence High School might well be the best job in Williamson County when all is said and done. Good luck to all Region 6-5A clubs.
  4. I think coach Webb is the Middle School coach but I have heard he may be interested in the high school job. I have also heard that the old coach (cox) is interested in being in control again.
  5. I think speed is a great quality, but i have seen players with great speed who couldn't run the bases well. I would prefer a player with good speed who runs the bases well. Also good qualities are good eye at the plate, makes pitchers work for the out, draws lots of walks, bunts or drags well, puts ball in play, and doesn't strike out alot. C ya bye.
  6. What about the Fairview / Lewis County game? Does this game have any significant bearing on the district race? Also, can someone tell what Fairview has done about the football job?
  7. Cheatham Co. 6-3 Waverly 6-3 Harpeth 5-3 Creek Wood 4-4 Sycamore 5-5 Mont. Central 4-5 Stewart Co. 1-8 It's getting tight! PEACE
  8. thanks scanooni22, you are right it is tough to pick 4,5,6. should be fun to watch and see how it turns out. PEACE
  9. why are so many people predicting Creek Wood to finish 6th? any response! PEACE
  10. SHS5.0 just having a little fun amoung friends. no harm no foul. bird don't let us forget about the voice of the red hawks, without him we would be just ahhhhh normal. PEACE
  11. bird you have never been so right about something. Creek Wood's book keeper not only gets it done at the scorers table, he gets it done at the boys bench as well. you can be sure that during time outs he even comes to offer help on the coaching part of it. speaking of rippings young man, the score keeper took a good one from an official at waverly, again it was because he is so talented that this time he was offering the officials some advice on how to call or not to call a game. Coach Taylor is lucky to have such a devoted staff surrounding him. PEACE
  12. bird you should be nicer about coach taylor's assistant coach. he works real hard at keeping the stats. coachrop, hope everything is going well and you are recovering from your ripping. also hope the scares heal fast, we need you down the stretch run. cheatham waverly Harpeth Creek Wood mont.central Sycamore Stewart Co. just my opinion on the district. can't wait for the tourney.
  13. Waverly 7-2 Cheatham 5-3 Harpeth 5-3 Creek Wood 4-4 Mont. Central 4-4 Sycamore 4-5 Stewart Co. 1-8 everyone has around 3 or 4 games left. All games are huge! Should be a fun ending down the stretch.
  14. Does anyone have any predictions on how this district will end the regular season.
  15. Creek Wood has a pretty good class with two of them starting alot of games and piling up alot of minutes and experience. Not a bad freshman class coming in next year either. Could be a special group if they work hard, which they will b/c coach mullinicks will see that they work hard. PEACE!!!
  16. hey Iheartwurdup...the only person that needs to get a life is...uh..YOU! Don't be mad because the Crazies have a good time at the ball games and have fun. As far as their coach being "classless", the only "classless" people that we saw were the ones at Creek Wood during the Sycamore game yelling and screaming at Coach Jones to "take out the JV...start playing the varsity", when it was the varsity on the floor who got Sycamore in such a deep hole in the first place. You must be one of the screamers...how about encouraging instead of discouraging...PEACE...
  17. shs5.0...the clip board was not for you...thus you were not able to read it. The win was BIG for Creek Wood...the boys played hard, which was evident if you were there, by both sides, so therefore, EVERYONE got excited...even the coach ( which I might add is a GOOD thing for sports!) There is nothing better than a true battle to the end with a game that could have gone either way the entire time...that is what district play is all about...I hope if Sycamore wins a game like that one last night...the coach does show his emotions and congradulate all of his players, either with hand slaps or pom poms...whatever, but get excited! Don't expect the coach of Creek Wood to apologize for his actions because he has a good rapore with the student body and fans that follow the team each game. Great job Creek Wood and Sycamore for a hard-fought game and good luck to both teams and both coaching staffs and BOTH STUDENT SECTIONS the rest of the way. PEACE...
  18. elrey, do you have an excuse for everything. anybody could say they haven't played their best game yet. maybe you didn't play your best last night, but also on the same hand if Creek Wood would have finished on about 8 different layups the score wouldn't have been only by 2 it would have been by way more. don't make excuses everybody can do that. if "ifs and buts" were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas. peace.
  19. Cory Phleiger from Dickson Co. Unlimited range, creates shots, very unselfish,6'1" and plays like he is 6'4" and only a Jr.
  20. There is no question coaches are underpaid in all sports. We as coaches or most coaches coach because we love the game and the kids. Yes it is fun to watch our athletes develop in and out of sports. Yes, we as coaches coach because the sport we coach did so much for us as an athlete and as a player, and we can give back to our athletes what athletics meant and did for us. We don't coach and teach for the money , we coach and teach because we love what we do and we love working with kids. When you throw in the mix of having to deal with problems outside the program that is where we as coaches are underpaid. We are not in this to hurt or be mean to athletes like some people think we are. In all sports there are only so many positions on the court or on the field, and we as coaches are going to put the best players on the court or field that is going to give are programs the best chance to win. Yes, we want our athletes to have fun but if they don't win then how fun is that.
  21. Northwest, Offense fills the seats: Defense and kicking game wins big games. You cannot count on scoring 79 points in blowout wins deep in the playoffs. You are going to have to tackle Stratford Friday night, and then you will have to tackle Hillsboro if you are fortunate enough to tackle Stratford. Good luck Friday night.

    Ryan Headrick

Ryan, we are all praying for you and hope you make a speedy recovery. The football family and world at Creek Wood High School in Dickson County are pulling for you. Thanks Aunt Sherry for the updates. They mean a lot. HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY from the Creek Wood football team and coaches
  23. Run wing-T formation with a lot of jet sweeps, traps, and belly's. Good athletes. 7 man front on defense. Will be a good program in VERY near future.
