  1. I would like to see who you think should be nominated for region 6-2a all region for offense and defense.Region 6-2a consists of Huntingdon-Mckenzie-Chester Co.-Camden-Riverside and Adamsville. Please list names or number of player and position or if it is for offense and/or defense.
  2. I am a parent of a Chester County Eagle and a fan and i wanted to start a thread so people can come on here to say thanks and share how much this season meant to them.I am so proud of the Eagles and what they have accomplished this year.As a father and a former coach of alot of the players that played for me in youth league football i wanted to say thanks for 9 years of great football memories. When this senior class first started playing football it was said they would accomplish great things and they have. From winning games in youth league to 2 winning seasons in junior high which was capped off by a 9-1 record in their 8th grade year.Their freshman year saw great things also due to the fact that as freshman alot of them started or had quite alot of playing time.Even tho teams struggled thru the changing of coaches every 2 years and had losing seasons we all waited in anticipation for what we all knew would happen. Thanks for the 9-3 history making season this year. When you look back at what you have done i hope it sinks in how much you have done and not what you did not do.As you grow older it will mean more and more to you and it my eyes you are the best we have had in the last 30 years and were and are truly a TEAM.Thanks,Richard Walker
  3. To All Huntingdon fans and parents:Great game Friday night and you proved you are the best in region 6-2a and i am rooting for you to win it all.I am a CC parent and my son was #4 Kyle Walker and he wanted everyone in Huntingdon to know that he is rooting for you too.Even tho we were defeated (and that,s a nice way of saying it) Friday night we are still part of the 6-2a family and will be behind you all the way. Thanks for all the prayers for #11,Rodriguez Clark and the class you showed after he was hurt Friday night.Good luck to all of you and who knows but maybe some of our guys and yours may get to play some college ball together.
  4. I think alot of this is from the weather changing and being out in it.You have to realize that none of these players are used to playing football this time of year. They are either in a warm gym or at home watching tv.I think they will make a showing tonight and regardless of the outcome they will know we are proud of them.
  5. Yes,Myron twisted it in the Fairview game but i thought it was his existing ankle injury but it was his knee. With the weather tonight being cold and possibly wet it could make for an interesting evening of football.
  6. All of them are going to try to play but i think Myron,s knee is the worst out of all of them. The rest are having flu like symptoms and hopefully it has run it,s course but they will still be weaker than normal. You are right about the seniors wanting to play but 2 of them are underclassmen but 1 starts and 1 is a backup corner and receiver
  7. Here are the players that i know who have missed practice this week,Kyle Walker,Wes Tedford,Jim Kendrick,Reese Clayton,Rodriguez Clark,Myron Fulton,Drew young and Matt Knipper. All have been sick with something or broke something and Myron,s knee is hurting pretty bad.
  8. Thank you very much Duckman and you are right. No matter what the outcome Friday night these boys have gave us something to be proud of.They are a great group of guys that only comes around about every 10 or so years in CC and we will miss them.We must have a bug going around ,we have had more players miss practice this week than any other week in the season. They will still give it their best Friday night.
  9. I sent you a message and if you did not get it then e-mail me at trulyhuge1@yahoo.com please
  10. I,ll swing a deal with you,you have hot chocolate and hot coffee and we will visit the concession stand with our scarfs over our mouths .It is supposed to be cold and damp so maybe that will kill our germs, hahahhaha
  11. Hey bored guy,i need to get a hold of you by either e-mail or phone. How would you recommend we do this?If need be i can send you my e-mail address on here.Let mw know when you can. Thanks
  12. Believe me ,it is not propaganda by anyone,These are all ligit and we are not ones for using excuses or making up stories. These players have been lucky all year not to have more injuries than what we have had.I think Walker and Tedford will play and will give it all they have but i just hope they have enough. We need them at 100% as we do all our starters and subs to even have a chance against Huntingdon. We are not making excuses at all,i just wanted everyone to be aware of what is going on so just in case they can help pump up the backup players to be ready. All of our players want to play huntingdon again because they are a legit team that you can measure your season by and win or lose we can know that if we give it our all and make it a game that we can hold our heads high.We want to win and see if we have what it takes to go to the next level. So anyone that is doubting this forum you can ask around and check at the Rickard Family Clinic and see that these guys are really sick but trying to get better. We know for sure tho that Knipper and Holder and Smith are all out but all needed and will be missed.
  13. A bottle of nyquil or a shot of whiskey. He seemed to be feeling better last night but i think the biggest part of that was acting so he could play Friday night.I think he will make it but he is missing some valuable practice time.I does not matter that he is a senior and a 4 year starter there is still no substitute for practice. He left the house on his own yesterday to go out and watch practice so he could keep up with what is going on.Wes Tedford was out yesterday too with some of the same symptoms as Kyle.I hope it runs its course whatever it is before Friday night and the biggest game these boys have ever been in.
  14. Yes Bijon would play the other wing and Drew would play linebacker.I hope both are ready to step up like Cooper and Hester did last week filling in for Knipper.
  15. I know he won,t want too and he actually has a broke finger that he played with Friday night but i know for a fact that he is home in bed right now and he did not even practice yesterday. He has not missed a practice all year and he did not even miss 1 workout since the end of season last year.He went to the doctor today and they are afraid he might have either tonsilitis or mono nucleosis. He is a warrior and if he can play at all he will but if he is only 50% then he will need to let someone that is 100% play.
  16. Thanks and i agree with what you said. You always want to beat the best with your best and that is how great teams are distinguished from good teams.Chester county has been lucky this year as far as injuries since they have several key players going both ways but it seems like it is catching us at the wrong time.Holder was and is a great player and could have helped us tremendously but we done what we could without him and tried to win for him because of him being a team mate.Knipper,Smith and Walker are all seniors and you know a senior wants to play every game win or lose. This may be the week we find out if those back up players can keep this team going for next year and if they have been playing attention.Hopefully they will step up and show they can play and be ready for nesxt year. Thanks for the concern.
  17. This may not be the Friday night for the Eagles to be playing Huntingdon.I just received reports from Henderson that several key players will be out this Friday night.Matt Knipper who starts at defensive end and offensive tackle will not be able to play due to breaking his arm before the game at Fairview. Also Kyle Walker who starts at running back and outside linebacker on defense and does the punting duties and also backup QB and kicker has come down with some illness running fever and sore throat and has been sent to doctor and will be sent home.Josh Smith, senior and plays defense and special teams and is leading tackler on kick-off has strained his acl and will be unable to play.Teddy Holder has been out since the last Huntingdon game and is still inactive. This is not good news and i will keep CC fans updated.
  18. Don,t worry tricklician,we won,t be crying regardless of what happens ,win or lose.We are proud of what our EAGLES have accomplished this year and we already know they are going to play their hearts out and leave everything on the field. When our players and fans leave Huntingdon win or lose we will have our heads high and tell our team how much this year has meant to the fans and how a team that went 3-7 last year turned things around and made history this year. No, we won,t need the crying towels nor will we let pot shots or trash talking bother us.We know what we have done and we know we made some mistakes and we know that if Huntingdon wins then they will be representing region 6-2a along with Mckenzie when they beat lewis county. So what we will do if we lose is support the winner so they can continue winning to show that region 6-2a is the strongest 2-a region from top to bottom. But thanks for offering the towels
  19. Yea i believe they have went back to the wing-t according to my son but they may change that up or do both.Their coach is a wise man and i think he has found some more talent in his guys and i think he will show us all he has.I think they underestimated us last time but will not this time.If we can keep their offense off the field then we may have a chance of controlling the clock. We do a good job of that. Our boys have really improved and it should be a great game.
  20. His Dad told us yesterday that he broke the small bone in his arm and would be fittedfor a cast today.I don,t know if he will play with a cast on this Friday or if he will be out but i will know today and will let you know tommorrow.I know he will be missed but i think Cooper did a good job Friday night on D.Cooper is a little quicker that Knip but no where near as strong and dominant.Cooper,s speed may help us with pressure Friday night tho.
  21. I agree bored guy and especially with the 3 or 4 plays and out.I know Kyle is my son but he is not a great punter due to the fact that he plays both ways and that is not when he is at his best.Last time we gave huntingdon really good field position on 2 shanked punts and i believe they scored on 1 of them.I believe we can slow down but not stop Bell and I cannot remember the other back that has had some success on other teams but i am sure i will know early in the 1st quarter. As far as the passing defense,i really believe they have improved and their is no particular 1 to pick on now.Jake has come alive and has more confidence and some of our back up players have stepped up and our play calling has improved since our last meeting so i look for this to be a very exciting game.I know i have heard Huntingdon,s coach mention how much respect he has for us and i know the player,s at Huntingdon have respect for us as we do them.I think it will be our game of the year no matter the outcome.I don,t mind losing to a good team but i don,t to get beat by a team without us giving our best.
  22. I know there will be some trash talking on this forum but i hope there isn,t because we should all realize that this game will be played on the field and not on this forum.I am a CC parent and could not be more proud of our Eagles and the Coaching staff for the job they have done this year.No matter what the outcome Friday night the Eagles have had 1 heckuva history making season. Now we all know the Huntingdon has earned respect for years with quality football teams and records and players and coaches. We also should know that this respect is what CC has wanted for years and years.Without talking trash or slandering anyone i would just like to say and please take this in a positive way,The Eagles will be going to huntingdon looking to win a game Friday night. On the other hand,Huntingdon wants to prove they are the best team in region 6-2a.This is going to be a great game and i hope who ever wins this game will support the other for continued success. Now with all that said i would like to hear some prospectives on what it will take for CC to win this game.
  23. Well Teddy would have only made us even better. If we had Teddy then i think our offense would have been the same because Teddy and Melvin are the same type of running back.I think our defense would have been better due to Teddy playing Lb and moving Kyle to a corner or safety spot. With Teddy,Melvin and Luke at Lb we could have blitzed more against Mckenzie and Huntingdon and definitely would have changed the outcome of those games.Teddy is a head hunter and gives 100% on every play.He is really missed
  24. Yes Jake is doing better in the option and i agree he is a good running QB but has the potential to be a good passing QB.I think he physically has the skills needed but lacks the mental aspect of being a "this is my offense" qb.Jake is a super kid and great all around person but just a tad bit timid and does not let the" tiger out of the tank "so to speak often enough.Next year he will really have to step up as a leader on the field and be more of a decision maker than he is now.I think he has learned this year as the season has progressed to be more accertive and it is paying off.I thnk his numbers in passing will not reflect his progress but then again we do not have a receiving core like a mckenzie that really compliments the qb.This week at Fairview we may have to see how he can do on the short passes to open up the "triple threat" run attack. The 3 amigo,s in the backfield also do a great job blocking for the other too and i think i am as impressed with the backs blocking as i am with the running.
  25. That will be great and if you can get the numbers, you need to check out the average yards per carry for Myron,Melvin and Kyle. From what i have seen it is pretty amazing. Also Jake was Player of the Week this week and i think he deserved it very much and that should give him the confidence he needs going into this playoff game.
