  1. The Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club is proud to announce the nominees for the Charles Greenhill Prep Player of the Year. East Tennessee Player of the Year- Harrison Smith Knoxville Catholic Middle Tennessee Player of the Year- Golden Tate Pope John Paul II West Tennessee Player of the Year- Chris Donald Huntingdon The announcement for the States Top Player will be at 9:00am on November 27 at the Opryland Hotel
  2. Golden Tate was named Wednesday the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club Middle Tennessee Player of the Year which also nominates him for the Charles Greenhill Tennessee Prep Player of the Year which recognizes the States Top High School Player.
  3. The Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club will present their 26th annual state Football awards at the Opryland Hotel on Novemeber 28th at 9:00 am. The Charles Greenhill Prep Player of the Year presented to the top highschool football player in Tennessee will be award from the top three players from the 3 geographic regions in the state The Award Winners for 2005 and the nominess for the Charles Greenhill Award: East Tennessee Player of the Year- Brandon Warren Alcoa Middle Tennessee Player of the Year- Gaston Miller Riverdale West Tennessee Player of the Year- Markei Guy Westview

Is Mr Football the Heisman of HS football in Tennessee the answer to that is it is a very high honor for a football player in Tennessee to win but the Charles Greenhill Prep Player of the Year is the Heisman of High School Football that has been presented for the last 24 years by the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club. This award is the most coveted award a player can win in Tennessee thumb

  8. The Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club will announce their winner for the East Middle and West Tennessee Prep players of the Year on Monday November 29 2004. The club's 24th annual awards banquet will be held December 13 2004 at Lawrence Co HS The club had announced earlier in the day that Coach Walt Smith of Mt Pleasant had won the Rex Dockery Prep Coach of the Year Award, the highest award a High School coach can win in the State of Tennessee.   9. The Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club would like to announce that Coach Walt Smith from Mt Pleasant HS has been named the 2004 Tennessee Prep Coach of the Year. The award banquet will be held on December 13, 2004 at Lawrence Co HS. This is the Clubs 24th year to give the awards to the top High School Football Players from East, Middle and West Tennessee and from those three the States Top High School Player will be named. This years guest speaker will be Murphy Fair publisher of Tennessee High School Football affectionally know as the bible of high school football in Tennessee.   10. WE HAD 3 GOALS WE SET AT THE START OF THE SEASON. 1. KEEP THE COWBELL (BEAT GILES CO) 2. KEEP THE VAN JOHSON CUP (BEAT LORETTO) 3. MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THE FIRST TWO AND WE HAVE TOOK STEP ONE TOWARD OUR PLAYOFF GOAL. MY BOYS CAME IN A LITTLE FLAT LAST NITE BUT PICKED UP THE VOLUME WHEN THEY NEEDED TOO LAST NITE FOR A VERY IMPRESSIVE OVER REGION RIVAL HICKMAN CO. ( I TOLD YOU BOYS WE WOULD SCORE 40 PLUS ON THEM) BUT WE CANNOT ENJOY THIS VICTORY TOO LONG WE HAVE WORK TO DO HILLSBORO IS COMING TO TOWN NEXT FRIDAY NITE AND GUESS WHAT I SAY WE OWE THEM FROM HOW THEY EMBRASSED US LAST YEAR. HILLSBORO NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO SHOW US RESPECT IN OUR HOUSE AND THEY WILL FIND OUR REAL QUICK THIS IS NOT THE SAME LCHS TEAM THEY BEAT LAST YEAR. STEP TWO TOWARD THE PLAYOFF IS TO BEAT HILLSBORO WILL IT BE EASY NO BUT WE ARE JUST AS GOOD OF FOOTBALL TEAM AS THEY ARE. A WIN THIS FRIDAY NITE WOULD BE HUGE FOR OUR PROGRAM HUGE FOR THE COMMUNITY AND HUGE FOR THE QUARTERBACK CLUB. LETS PLAY WITH THE SAME INTENSITY FOR 4 QUARTERS FRIDAY NIGHT THAT WE DID IN THE SECOND HALF AGAINST HICKMAN CO AND WE WILL BE ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE PLAYOFFS.   12. I just wanted to tell my football players how much there effort Friday nite is very appreciated by there school there community and by the Lawrenceburg Quarterback Club. We never quit for 4 quarters and even though Hillwood beat us it was not an easy victory for them. The community stepped up last nite and we had a great crowd and fan support that I have not seen in Lawrenceburg for many years. Our Senior players are an outstanding group of young men that are leading this team to a playoffs. Keep your heads up guys we are behind you 110 percent. You guys should all know who I am and how proud I am to be part of this football team. DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHEN YOU ARE A TEAM ITS WHEN YOU HAVE ONE HEARTBEAT AND THE WILDCATS HAVE THAT IN 2004
  13. thumb Congratulation's to the Lawrence Co High Wildcats this team wanted this win bad tonight and our defense won thisgame for us tonight. Loretto played well but did not have the mustangs to beat us on this Friday nite. A great win for our school. Two goals down one to go.
  14. I heard word back that Lawrence Co looked good with Lauran Hudgins scoring at will. Hearing some good thing about the new Coach if the parents will leave him along and let him have time to evaluate his team we might we half way decent next year.

  16. We have lost one of the top girls coaches in Tennessee but I congratulate him on moving on to a great opportunuity. We have a good program here and some of the best players in the state. Good Luck John and Gail you will always be special friends to me and my family.
  17. I here there was a memo from the TSSAA to officals to check the seating capacity. May have to move the torunament to Giles Co. You are going to have to play them at least two more times anyway. Thats too bad.

  22. John Wild Lawrence Co High School only coach in the state to win both a boys and girls state championship. We are so lucky at Lawrence Co to have not only an outstanding coach but a coach that is a role model to these kids. I would not trade him for any other coach in the state.
