  1. Thanks for the responses! I usually don't post much on here (coacht) but love to read the threads. Good luck to all!
  2. I have a comment and then a question. First, good luck to both teams this week. Two classy programs with great talented players on both sides of the ball. My question to anyone who will know is, what is the secret to the source of the great football talent in the Smith/Trousdale area? It seems that every year both teams are loaded with great players. Most 1-A teams I have known in the past have great runs every now and then that cycles around a particular group of players, but all the teams in that area are always loaded? Good luck and great respect to both teams!

Monterey played our team to open the season. We should have beat them. They can be beat. Your district is up in the air. Good luck to all!
  6. Titansbuck , I'm not real smart, but if I'm not mistaken Monterey scored more against White House- Heritage, running the crappy wing-t than White House has scored all year. LA 27 TC 24

Don't pay no mind to polesit hes just upset because he can't keep stats right. He needs to worry about all the kids hes fathered with bad haircuts.
  8. Baseball Junkie is right! The coach knew about this game at the start of the season . He could have given Livingston time to find a new game with someone else if he didn't want to play. All thats fine and great about wanting a day off but, what about the players in Livingston who aren't going to get to play a game. Or the people coming to watch it . I just wonder if they are scared or lazy or both. Coach Swallows should never scedule them
  9. It really doesn't matter what happened last year. Both teams have different offensive styles, as well as defensive styles. However I think Clay Counties version of the wing-t will hurt the wildcats defense and Monterey's power-I hasn't hurt anyone lately, so Clay-29, Monterey-20.
  10. This has got to be one of the worst thought out moves for Pickett Co. It is not that Clay Co. is that good, but Pickett does not need to play at the varsity level yet, and if Clay Co. does not win big then it is an embarrassment. This is a no win game except for Pickett's trainer. Oh wait, Clay and Pickett have the same trainer,,,,,geeees.
  11. Argue all you guys want. The real issue is that LA's defensive unit hasn't really been tested. Both teams will score points so it doesn't matter how loaded anyone is on offence. The question will be who has the best defense? Smith Co-24, LA-17
  12. Without Jones, Monterey doesn't have a prayer! They simply do not have enough size or speed.
  13. Hey Mirrorman, rumor has it that a few of the parents of the LA squad arranged for Mike Jones to be adopted by his former foster parent so their QB could win more games. This was heard at church on Sunday. The QB had not talked to Mike in over 3 years and then suddenly rings the phone off of the hook. You may be able to put 2 and 2 together. However, with the differences in the line at Monterey and LA, I can see why he left. If it was only for that reason and not something else like a vehicle, that's fine.
