I had heard that Howard had to be put in the assisted living home after having to come up with positive phrases to write over the last few football seasons he went through. I also heard a rumor that he might have been attacked by a rabid mule while sitting on his front porch. I am not sure which is true. However, I am glad that he is still going strong and I am certain he will help the blue and white figure out how to sure up the secondary.
If Livingston fans remember, the Wildcats' last trip to the State Tournament in 1997 saw a first round win over Fulton. Let's hope history repeats itself! Go Cats
Hey Snoop you can't blame the bench sitting deal on Matthews, that is a show of poor coaching ability, not saying that Coach Lesley Smith is a poor coach just saying that if the Lady Cats are gonna win big games Matthews, West, and Ledbetter have to be in the game, if not they can't win.
The first round will be held at the home of the higher seed and then the top four will advance to a double elimination tournament at the regular season champion's place. Right now Dekalb County and Livingston are tied for the lead, it could come down to a tiebreaker.
I agree with you on the fact that Livingston didn't want to play, BUT they would have stayed and played if York had wanted to. Coach Qualls agreed that they shouldn't play and the rest is history. The two teams will play quite a few times this year so another game in Sparta after a four hour wait when neither team had any pitching was useless.
Muffin, I'm not sure what you saw, but let me asure you that the way I described it is the way it happened. Tenn-boy, I'm also not sure what was unsportsmanlike out of the Livingston players or coaches, but I am sure that it was unintentional. Red Boiling Springs simply beat them and I am sure they weren't too happy about that.
Let's get the facts straight, both Livingston and York agreed that they didn't want to play. The two teams had just played on Thursday night and will probably see each other a couple more times this season so they felt like there wasn't a need to play. Coach Wilson from White County said it was up to the coaches and Coach Swallows and Coach Qualls at first said they were going to play but both decided against it. The game was scheduled and it was going to be played but both teams decided to not play so it's a different situation.
