goin into the 4th it was 9-13 maryville. maryvill fumbled on their on 35 or so and i thought it was over. central wasnt able to get anything on it. later with about 5min left in the 4th mcCord i believe broke up the middle and i think it took the life out of central. we got the ball on the kickoff at the 20 and we got put back to the 10 or so on a penalty and despaux threw a int and it was taken in for the td. they deserved all the points they got but the score dont tell the tell. ceantral did a great job. if they would have only compitalized on the fumble....but you know what they say "if IF's and BUTs were candies and nuts......" maryville showed alot of class and played well. i hates to see yalls players go down and the one with acl tare was really bad...im sure he is a tuff kid though and he'll be back in there. i think central proved alot to the state...they can play with the best and give them a big scare at that.great game pounders.

Great job to both teams. great game, and i hope those that were injured get well very soon and get back to representing those rebels soon. earlier in the week someone said something about us needin to know where the hospital was...im not sure if it jinksed you guys or what but its very unfortuneate that his acl was torn. our big MLB Brent Hayes tore his ACL MCL and PCL earlier in the year i think that a healthy central vs a healthy maryville would have been very interesting. with hayes in there and headrick it would have been great. im glad that central kept it that close and i thought it was over when yall fumbled in yalls own territory. i love a close game and i can bearly talk cause my voice is gone. i know two things if nothin else....central didnt have thier heads down when they left and the up coming players are not scared about anything they saw...if anything they will be more fired up knowing that they can come that close to beat maryville. every person i talked to there were super nice and showed alot of class....great program and we have nothin but respect. good luck vs knox. central you boys can get it done.

im gonna stay with my pick. it will be a good game and it wont be a blow out either way. i agree that central has enough weapons to give the rebels trouble....but will they is the question. they have to come to lpay and in the past they have always steped up when they needed too. just because they havent beatin a winning team dont mean they cant. it will be close and i hope both teams the best of luck.

its cool eagle i understand. maryville is a good team and may very well beat central but like doc said it wont be by much either way. throughout this whole week all i have been saying is that central CAN pull the upset. iv never tried to make maryville sound less than they are, they are great...but beatable. i love my school and i love our football program and i have confidence in them and if its wrong to tell people how good they are and talk trash back to people that are doing the same then i guess im just wrong. if central was playing the titans i would pick them to win....get used to it im not ever gonna pick them to get beat. i think central will win in a very close game...if not then central will go home disappointed just like they would after any lose but you better believe i will still be a purplepounderfootball fan.

coming from a good friend of a guy that was hurt and put out for the season this year....i dont even like hearing someone joke about that blu. this is all for fun and games but you can take it too far if you try hard enough. to think that no one will want to play next year is a big joke....people know who is the upcoming team in chatt. 4a, and as long as people like winning they will come to play for jones. i think maryville will be surprised tommorrow at how central plays. it will be close and i think maryville can beat central and i know central will have to come out and play their hearts out to win but i have faith in 'em. o really? cornbread....and who are you? as i see it i have as much right bein on here as anyone else does. i love those guys and they are all my friends adn i love the coaches at central and if there is a problem then i would like to talk to someone about it face to face...not tryin to sound like a hard #### but i dont see much reason to talk about it on here. i think maryville is a great program. i think it will be a great game but i fell like central has what it takes to win. if not then they have nothing to be ashamed of they have improved every year since jones has been here.

i can agree 100% with that pop. i just dont see how ANY team can say that they are 100% sure that they can win. expecially in the second round of the playoffs. sure they arnt a good team...they are a great team but anyone can fall to someone who no one expected.look at centrals past they have always been funny about games like this. everyone picks them to win like rhea this year and red bank last year and they either get beat (rhea) or almost get beat (bank). you look at the games that they are picked to not do very well in this year cleveland last year knox. central and they compete very well. they were beatin knox. central last year at half time and should have beatin cleveland this year. no one think s they will compete with maryville but they will.... wait and see.

tribefan....have you ever watched tyler play? he is good enough to play D1. you expect him to throw for 5,000 yards or somethin...just because a guy that is in D1 could throw that much if he was to come back to high school dont mean that a kid that can play D! can do that. they grow the most when they get there.

look...no one on here is a football player. i am not in a group like barrelboy is..im just a fan with all my close frineds on the team and i know what they are about. there isnt any players on here saying anything. we were 2nd in our region but it isnt as weak as you think. cleveland was the 4th best in 4a who beat us by 2 pointsin a game that we were winning for most of the game. ok they got beat by west big deal they are still good. and our region isnt bad at all. i think you will be surprised at how well they do against maryville....very surprised. like i have said beofre if you think that you are gonna take your championship rings and lay them on the field and think central will lay down then maybe you should just not play at all. it will be a good game and i know it will but the pounders arnt gonna come in scared...they have nothing to lose, yall do. and i didnt ever say that maryville recruited....even if yall did and i knew yall did i still wouldnt ay anything about it.
