  1. The Titans have 6 picks in the first 4 rounds ( 1 awarded at the end of the 3rd and 4th rounds as compensory picks ), it's just too hard to tell what they'll pick in each round, it will probably be based on what's available but here's my prediction Round 1: CB Adam Jones / West Virginia Round 2: WR Round 3: Tackle Round 3: CB Round 4: RB Round 4: TE My list of most needed positions: 1. CB 2. WR 3. Tackle 4. Running Back 5. Tight End 6. Kicker 7. QB 8. D-Line
  2. Can any of you D II haters explain this? You talk about how much of an advantage it is for D II schools to " recruit " ( aka, legally give need-based financial aid ) yet when BA goes undefeated in the region and than rolls over three " recruiting " schools in the tournament they get no credit.
  3. COOOODAH, #4 from Harding's last name is Price and I agree the kid can play, he put up about 30 on BA in the tournament.
  4. Rolle and Mason are both Ravens- how ironic Carter is a Dolphin Fred Miller is a Bear Anybody else concerned that the Titans cut three of the best off-the-field Titans in Mason, Carter, and Miller?
  5. timbmp- I thought you were a great D II supporter seeing how you started all the threads about the tournament games, why would you than start this thread discrediting BA's accomplishment and D II as a whole? Just curious...
  6. It's Bone from BA and Oher from Briarcrest but other than that I agree with you 100%.
  7. I'm almost speechless, I mean is it a coincidence that the person who gives BA the most credit ( dtray ) played against them 3 times??? Give these guys some credit, I'm not going to proclaim them the best in the state because I don't really know who is but BA is VERY GOOD and don't deserve all these haters. And if you think they were good this year- you ain't seen nothing yet.......4 peat fellas?
  8. Kind of funny- when BA beats public school teams I often here " it's not a fair match-up because they give financial aid " but now these same D II teams are " cupcakes." Just thought I'd point that out.
  9. 3 in a row!!!!! Congrats BA- you made it look way too easy. Congrats most of all on the state title but also on the amazing year where nobody in the state beat you and you stood toe-to-toe with some of the top players and teams in the nation. A lot of people like to say you're not that good because you play in DII but I wouldn't bet against you guys vs. anybody in the state, I'm really proud. Great game, great fan support, great season. 4 peat fellas???????
  10. BA takes it by about 4 I think, they will play HH for the chamionship tommorow.
  11. Brentwood Academy and Briarcrest will square off tommorow @ David Lipscomb at I believe 2:30 ( correct me if i'm wrong on the time ). This game will feature 2/3 Mr. Basketball Finalists in Brandan Wright of BA and Michael Oher from Briarcrest. BA is looking for their third consecutive title while Briarcrest hopes to break their long in-state winning streak and take the title to Memphis. Any thoughts or predictions? Good luck BA!!!
  12. I agree with what you guys say about Price, he was a great player. If Harding had some low post presence they would be very tough to beat, I look forward to seeing Price again next year.
  13. Pretty valient effort by Harding who managed to keep the game reasonably close for awhile but just too much Wright from BA. BA looked to be in a little trouble in the 2nd quarter with Harding within a few points and Wright in early foul trouble but Brandan never got another foul and BA made a nice run at the end to send Harding home. BA will play the winner of Briarcrest and Father Ryan who play tonight, I'm predicting a Brentwood Academy vs. Briarcrest final ,though I hope Ryan can pull it out so we can have an all middle final.
  14. I'll be sure to tell, Mater Dei, Giles Co., Father Ryan, Carmel, Jefferson Co., MLK, Maplewood, Baylor, Knox Catholic, and Briarcrest they're not " real" teams.
  15. MUS brings plenty of Clinic Bowl chants and football insults- but not much else and falls 62-40. Game was never really in doubt, MUS was never closer than about 8 once the game got going, I don't know any stats but Brandan had a typical game ( 20 points, 10 boards ,several blocks ) and Bone probably scored around 15. MUS had a couple good 3 point shooters but no low post game and that's why they're headed back to Memphis right now.
  16. Who ended up on top out of the West?
  17. I doubt Gomab is just " giving it " to BA so a lot of us would like to see your thoughts on DII.
  18. OK, so it's Baylor and Knox Catholic from the East BA, Father Ryan, and BGA from the Middle And Briarcrest, Harding, and MUS from the West? I'm not sure how all the seeds will work out but how do you guys think the state will play out with these teams?
  19. Tonight's the night, I'll take BA-61 Father Ryan-50 in the chamionship and BGA 53 PJP II- 49 in the consolation, good luck guys.
  20. Just came back from PJP II and BA, BA takes it by around 20, something in the vicinity of 60-40. PJP II played well especially in the third quarter where they cut BA's lead to 3 but inspired by a Tyler Griffin 3 and a huge Brandan Wright dunk BA took control and ended up winning by a comfortable margin. Can't wait for the region chamionship tommorow, but the loser of Ryan/BGA better be careful, PJP II could easily pull the upset in the consolation.
  21. I know it was an exagerration.....I just get tired of everybody talking about how Brandan is 1/3 of the size of NBA players and how he'll get " eaten " when he plays Shaq etc. Strength will come in time but for now I'm just enjoying watching him be " 3 times" better than most people he faces, and watching BA bring home the " 3-peat".
  22. So is St. Andrews-Sewanee not in the tournment? As for the tournament.......I don't expect a whole lot of drama. I think BA will finnally get their region championship ( lost to Ryan in '03 and BGA in '04 ) and will either meet Ryan or BGA in the finals with the other one winning the consolation game. The only other teams with any prayer of making state would be PJP II or MBA if one of them could pull off the upset over BGA/Ryan in the consolation game. It will be a large surprise if BA, Ryan, and BGA aren't the region's 3 representatives. Is it true that there's no sub-state this year? If so how would the state tournament work with 9 teams?
  23. I'm struggling to find anything about College Heights, they don't even have a page on this sight like every other school. Guess it's not really that important but just curious anybody know anything about them?
