I think Loudon does have a good football team, I have heard people say that if not for Alcoa then Loudon would win the state, well i dont know about that, Huntington is a very good football team that gave Alcoa all they wanted last year in the finals and both their studs are back, as far as Loudon being the second best team Aloca has faced this year, well I'll take Fulton and McCallie. Loudon cannot beat either of those teams.

I was at the game Friday night and it was a good ball game. But IMHO the best team lost, now I'm not a Catholic or a Fulton fan but I think the only team that has beat Catholic physically all year was Fulton both times they played, I thought Fulton beat themselves and at the same time Coach Pemberton called a great game. Did'nt understand the defense Fulton played the last 45 seconds but that was not there only mistakes, Fulton lost b/c they beat themselves, dont get me wrong Catholic has a great team and #22 is a D-1 player, but if they played 5 times Fulton wins 3, of course this means nothing b/c Catholic was the best team on Friday, good luck Irish against L.A do not take them lightly.

Well once again I have to prove you wrong chump, Vic's record in Kingston is 166-67, now i know that's not the best in the state but I would argue that it is top 10 to 15, and as far as Roane County, he is the winningest coach ever, now you still havent mentioned what team you support. But that does not suprise me, as far as me getting upset about a high school game, gimme a break. What gets me upset is when tuba players like you get on here and bad mouth programs for not winning and having losing records, you have bad mouthed Kingston and Scott. The last I checked if you dont like a certain team then fine but dont bad mouth the program especially when the one you support is unknown and when you hide behind a screen: WIMP. With that being said I'll let you get back to that make believe fairy tale land you live in, you know the one where you actually think your a football guy. P.S - I thought I saw a thread about tuba players, maybe you post on there and tell them how good you was.

Well since your neither a FOOTBALL GENIUS or a TOUGH GUY just leave your screen name what it is, as far as Kingston never being contenders, they did play for the state title in 98', Kingston has played for a state title 5 times (fact not opinion) you mean you did'nt know that. If you knew anything at all you would know that Vic King is one of the winningest coaches in the state. At one time they had a regular season record of 40-0 from 88 to 91, so be careful what you talk when you dont know what your saying, as far as a tough region, what region does your team play in. Again I say Kingston has been down for a while, but as far as being state contenders, they have been in the race plenty of times over the years. As and far as my experience goes, the school, community, and character all help build high school FOOTBALL(i thought high school football was associated with character and the community). But you wanting to be a WANNA BE I can understand where your coming from, again it's easy to do this on a computer screen, as far as perception goes, it's kinda like you thinking you know everything about football when in reality you were one of those guys who never played or wishes that he was good in a sport, when the only thing your good at is arguing on CoachT, I mean come on making fun of a nickname. First of all Cleveland I did read your post before I spouted off tough guy, and you said winners make the playoffs and that was the question I asked you about. Now as far as me making excuses gimme a break, I said Kingston has been down the last few years, nobody is disputing that, they are not a very good football team right now, kinda like some other teams I know, I know this is a Football forum but you dont have to bash Kingston, but I understand that is easy to do on a computer screen, I get the feel that something has happend to you in Kingston or you took a few whippings down there, I never said Kingston was winners but again in my opinion if kids play hard and the best of there ability then they are winners but I forgot only the scoreboard indicates that.

Hey Took I'm glad that Catholic dont dwell on things such as getting blasted by Fulton last week, you say they will tell me how bad they are gonna beat Kingston tomorrow night , well maybe they will beat them and maybe they wont, the last time I checked that's why you play the game. Maybe I am old fashioned but a record does not indicate how hard a team plays, when I played we would play scott co. every year and they were never real good but always played us hard and tough and you gotta respect that b/c as soon as you dont you will get beat, if Catholic does not respect Kingston then that's fine, but they better play hard or they will get beat, I know Kingston is not very good and have took some beatings these last few years but you best believe they have also gave some over the years. You talk about sportsmanship and class, well from what I remember about playing ball is the no.1 rule with class and sportsmanship is you dont have to like them but you better respect them.

Your right, this is a sport and their are winners and losers, fortuanately this does not always indicate the character of these young men, the last 4 or 5 years for Kingston has been dissapointing, but that might have something to do with them playing in the toughest region in the state and them being the smallest school in that region, they are only about 40 kids from AA, Loudon has more kids than Kingston, You talk about a teams record is a measure of their worth and that indicates good and bad teams. Does that mean Catholic is better than Fulton? They have a better record so they must be huh. What about teams that are 4-6 or even 3-7 and make the playoffs, by your definition they are losers but they still make the playoffs, explain that one Football Genius.

Hey Cleveland, the record of a team does not always indicate how good they are or how they play. Look at Fulton's record, 4 weeks ago people were counting them out, and now all of a sudden they destroy the number 1 team in 3A, that nobody thought they would, now I agree that Kingston is not very good, certainly not like the teams of the late 80's or 90's but they still play hard and in my experience any team that plays hard their opponets must respect them b/c as soon as you take someone lightly that's when you get beat, just ask Catholic.

Catholic does have a good football team and they did beat AE 21-0 but if you remember Catholic really did not move the ball on AE, AE pretty much gave them 2 touchdowns and as for AC, they are a decent football team, not as good as years past. I think Catholic wins 28 to 7. Kingston is like AC they are decent but you cant judge a outcome based on how close one team plays another.

I agree Alcoa does have a great team, but last year in the championship game Huntington gave them all they wanted up until the 4th quarter, Alcoa has all there starters returning but I know HHS has that fast tailback and that big fullback back this year, I think it will be a reapeat of last years championship game with Alcoa coming out on top but they will be challenged.

Everyone knows that Loudons strength lies with hawkins, they like to run the stretch play with hawkins and let him cut back and find his way, it's kinda like what the colts do with james, they get foot to foot and just zone block and let hawkins line up 8 yards deep and pick a seam and go, if kingston shuts him down then they will win, Loudons strength is not passing, not saying they cant but that is not what they do best. If hawkins is held under a 120 yards then Kingston wins. I keep hearing hawkins this hawkins that, the last time I checked Kingston has a couple of weapons to, loudon will have to shut them down if they want to win.

First of all dont assume anything bleachercoach. We both know what assumption does, I picked Loudon b/c of the way they have been playing versus the way Kingston has been playing. If Kingston plays well and gets out of the gate fast then they will win, I dont think they will b/c they haven't all year with the exception of the Rockwood game. As far as kids reading these post, I can pick who I want, I am not a fan of kingston or loudon just a guy who likes talking football. Yes I am a coach but not at Kingston or Loudon. I picked Loudon based on how they have been palying not b/c I think they have more talent.

I dont think Loudons' second team running back is better than chad johnson, hawkins is a very good back he is shifty and quick but he does not run as hard as johnson. And as far as this team being unlike any other loudon team I hope your talking about here recently b/c those teams in the late 80's are twice as good as this loudon team, I watched the Polk Co. film and the Alcoa film and yes loudon is better this year than they have been in a while but they are beatable and if they underestimate this Kingston team they will be beaten, I'm still picking loudon but they better be on there game, Kingston is not a easy place to win.

This is a great rivalry dating all the way back to those great players who have played in these games such as hawkins (the dad not the current 1), bruce wilkerson, cedric kline, reggie brown, kevin mays, albert foster. I think Loudon is better this year than they have been in a while and that is why they will be tough to beat, this is always a hard fought game. The key for Kingston is to get the ball to their best athlete and let him make plays, which is Justin Givens. I remember when he and hawkins were freshman and they played in a freshman game and it was basically a track meet. Kingston cannot wait until the second half to decide to play ball, if they do it could get ugly. Although I think both teams are equall it's time for Loudon to win one. 21 to 14

B/C I have seen both of these kids play and based on myself playing college ball I dont think they can, at least not at running back, it takes something called speed to play that position especially on the collegiate level, but you probaly dont know anything about that b/c you probaly never played except for on playstation. And as far as ruffling my feathers, this is the internet so gimme a break. GO JACKETS!!!!!

Your source is probaly correct. Just because a kid is the leading rusher does not make him the best running back, in that case both of these guys would be D-1 prospects, when in reality neither can play on that level or could they play 1AA ball. If you want to compare stats then these two are as good as anybody, but if you want to compare talent then that's totally different becuase neither can can play on the next level.

I did read your post and it said " two of the best in ET if not the entire state". Your right, I have not seen either kid play this year in person but then again I dont watch to much little league football either. I have however saw both on film and IMHO they are both good high school backs as far as 2 of the best in ET, well I'll give it to the davis kid b/c he plays in single A but the kid from SCHS I would have to disagree b/c he's not even in the top 5 in his region.

I dont think brandon davis is one of the best backs in the state. There are at least 5 backs in East Tenn that are better than either one of these backs; spencer gulmire, dustin lindsay to name a couple. Both these teams are smash mouth offenses but I give the edge to Kingston b/c of speed Kingston 28 OS 14.

They been playing since 1921. I think this will be a good ballgame b/c you have strenth against speed. Someone asked earlier which you would have well I'll take speed anyday because it is something you cant teach; strength you can train and get stronger. Harriman is much improved over last years team and rockwood is in a rebuilding year so I'm taking the devils in this one 20 to 14.
