If McKenzie wins the gold ball that will be 3 straight undefeated teams they have beaten and 3 straight Mr. Football candidates they have beaten. Thats pretty amazing and shows the tough competition they have played.

The defense gives us a fighting chance. Kamden is a good passer, but his legs are part of what makes our offense go. Several are banged up and may not be able to go next week. This is the week Coach Stone earns the big bucks for his decisions leading to game prep.

Well, I was expecting a packed house from OS…Guess they know what’s coming.

Well, congrats to both teams on making the final 4. Senior leadership is really starting to show for the Pirates. A physical front 7 and ball hawking secondary has made the Pirates a real force to deal with defensively. Any chance OS may have had in this game was erased by cutting Jamarion and Kam from the Mr. Football awards. It’s a personal matter now. I like the attitude. Pirates sail to Finley by 50.

I had a thought run past my mind…I don’t know if it’s even possible @Southtowner @The Drunken Sailor you may know more than I do on this subject. Would it be possible to have a Sequatchie Valley All-Star game after the season ended? Maybe two weeks after the state championship games? Rotate the games played at various fields for extra bonus to program. Obviously, this is for seniors only..Throw NJ in there as well..Bledsoe, Jasper, SP, NJ, Sequatchie, Whitwell, Grundy. Just a neat thought. I guess you could split teams however or have a draw between coaches from all schools.
