I was a 3 sport player in high school and I lifted weights year around. I also went to state in 2 of the 3 sports that I played. Also lifting weights year around is a good thing for anyone to do. It helps prevent injury and I do not know of any player in any sport that would not want that extra power and strength that lifting weights can give you. Depending on what position your son plays he might not want or need that extra weight. If he doesnt he should stick to higher rep exersices. p.s. he needs to talk to his other coaches and the schools strength coach to find out what they say.

i played football at centennial from '98 to '01. and this was always my favorite game. i have not seen either team play this year, but i know that no matter how good or how bad one team is it is always a great game. what does everyone think will happen? i will be attending this game and i would love some insight.

tmac19, you my friend are an idiot! you cant run a 10.5 in tennis shoes. you cant run a 10.5 in spikes. you will never run a 10.5. marcell scales who is currently the national leader in the 50 and 60 at mtsu never ran a 10.5 in high school. that is the state record. you know that i am talking about the 100 meter dash. you are probably thinking of your 40 yard dash. idiot.

who are the good high jumpers this year?

waller accually signed at mtsu on a football scholarship. he is also running track. marcel (marty) has already broken all of mtsu's sprinting records. as for marcel being pretty good in the 400, he never ran the 400 except once his junior year in a dual meet again franklin. we wanted to see how he would do against joey handy (he lost). as for the best sprinter for 98-01 i would have to say that would be sean waller. he never had record times in the 100 or the 200 but he one all of the sprints last year. most sprinters are only dominate in one of the events at state, but he was dominate in them all. he is number one to me.
