Where do you go to find out who the all-region players are?

No it doesn't stink to be a Central Bobcat right now. We are quite proud of how they played. Enough said.

Knox Central is coming over on coach buses, not school buses. This is not a school night for them. School in Knox county is out tomorrow so they can sleep in. They are also planning to get there around 5PM so they will have plenty of time to get loosened up.

I agree with you totally abiggsexxy. This has gone on much too long. No purpose is served by continuing to bash this around. Lee and Baron have moved on and SO SHOULD EVERYONE ELSE. The Central players seem to have let this go and are playing fine without them. Why can't those of you who keep bringing this subject up? STOP NOW!!!!!!!

I listened to the reply of this game later Friday evening and the announcers said that there was actually a TSSAA rule against bands playing when the opposing team had the ball. I had never heard that before but that is what they said. I think the issue of the Powell band is that the stands they sit in are on the field and, in the instance of when Central had the ball on the 2 or 3 yard line, the band was only 15-20 yards behind them. It's one thing for a band to be playing from the sidelines but another thing to be playing right behind you. I would think it might be like having a semi-trailer behind you on the interstate blowing their horn. In any case, the officials decided it was an issue. I figured since the band had been asked to stop when Central was on the 2 and then started again when they were on the 38 that the coach was told to get them to stop--perhaps something similar to a sideline warning. When they didn't stop playing was when Powell got penalized. It seems to me that the band shouldn't be allowed to be down on the field anyway Powell needs to move those bleachers and probably they might not be penalized if they were playing in the future.

MHS--I am pointing fingers at everyone, both Central fans and anyone else. These young men, whether they be Central, Maryville or any other school, hear these comments and it is very hurtful. I don't like to hear anyone slam, bash or cut down young people who are trying their best. No more comments from me.

Gentlemen, you know these teams are made up of kids. By the way some of you all talk you would think they are college or pro players. Both teams gave their best effort, the best one came out on top. I think all these cut down/slam comments about swiss cheese D's, slamming CJ, etc. should be stopped by whoever is supposed to be managing this site. Remember the old saying--If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.

Can't we just let the trash die??? As far as the Central D goes, there are 3 seniors, 4 juniors and 4 sophomores. Looks like things could only improve. Admittedly, Maryville can improve too. Let's just wait and see what happens.
