  1. I think the best in region 6 is dickson county
  2. Ive heard from some people that a few of BA's key players got a lot bigger since last season, like unnaturally bigger....maybe they're juiced, maybe they're just really dedicated. I'm not pointing fingers at BA or anyone else- im sure it happens at almost every school, but thats one of the stories i've heard
  3. brentwood's linebackers. 'nuff said.
  4. couldnt agree more.... Williamson county is by far the strongest in TN and i'd put money on wesvols' promise that at least 1 williamson county team will win state- i might even say 2 would....5A is definately going to be won by brentwood or franklin
  5. Oops i forgot- Welch and McCurdy will never be Austen Everson, but they both have plenty of talent to lead the Bruins to MTSU in december. Welch can scramble, and at 6'5 he has great downfield visibility- he can also throw the ball a mile but needs to get comfortable in the pocket- by game 3 he'll be an ace. McCurdy Is acurate and can run, and does well at tailback. He doesnt have welch's range or experience, but he can make it happen. I'd be surprised if coach Crawford didnt put Thomas Welch in the #1 Spot. Oh yeah, you can catch every Brentwood game on channel 9 in williamson county- homegames get aired on friday and tuesday nights, away games air only on tuesdays. tune in and watch the bruins claw their way to another state title.
  6. Personally, I give credit to Franklin and Dickson County- they'll be Brentwood's toughest opponents this year. BUT.... you say brentwood is tough but franklin is faster? Brentwood's backfield is built by about 5 players that encompass every single aspect of a killer running game. Fugate and Van Horne could blow through a 20 foot brick wall. Amechi Echetebu and Blake Turner have the speed, plus turner has the size and strength of Fugate. Austin Huff is small, quick, and agile, and while not as big as the big three (Fugate, Van Horne, and Turner), he's proven he can find gaps and make plays. Recievers Kellen Moore and Bryan Bateman arent standouts compared to former players like Josh Brennard, but they are both over 6 foot and consistently make plays. Brian Heimerdinger and Chris Regan are other players to keep an eye on. The offensive line is stong, powered by center Anthony Montileone and Pierson Davis- and just wait untill Greg Briscoe returns from a summer back injury in a few weeks. Defensively, the Bruins are an iron curtain. Van Horne, Turner, and Nick Fosset make up a core of linebackers that could probably threaten the offense of the Detroit Lions. Moore and Bateman play on defense, too- adding to a group of defensive backs that put up 2 INTs against father ryan. Add all of this up and then throw in the Brentwood coaching staff and you can garantee the bruins will win region 6. There's no question about it. And don't discount Ravenwood....i wouldnt be surprised to see coach daniels lead the first year raptors to a winning record...just watch. 1) Brentwood 2) Franklin 3) Dickson County 4) Ravenwood 5) Centennial 6) Henry County 7) Clarksville 8) Kenwood
