I like DB, I dont have a problem with them like I do with some folks in the Civil War with West. I like, Kingsport went to yall's Wal-Mart last year after the first romp and bought a Rebel Flag Redneck sticker to put on my truck and some gel to put in my White Pine Waterfall. Plus you all have a great baseball field that you play football on. I still say this is a big game but the one that REALLY REALLY matters will be in the playoffs. You guys are forgetting Carson is maybe the best defensive player on the team, in addition to being a great back. And look at it this way DB folks if one of your star players was possibly not going to play you cant tell me for one second that you wouldnt be sayin anything about it. Scooter AND Carson both are big variables in the equation.

This game is big but it doesnt matter as much as the one that will more than likely take place in October. I am anxious to see how many DB student fans are there, we had them tripled both times we were ransacked in Kingsport last year. Should be a great game and could be the surfacing of a new star if Scooter and Carson dont get to play. Chris Shiverdecker, remember the name.

truth, ive heard that scooter and carson we the suspensions in question but meadows has said that the tape shows they were defending themselves. and dont act like this is a one time thing I have seen more than a few basketball, football, and baseball games and there have been many instances of taunting and bad sportsmanship on both sides so dont act like West is pure white because yes Woods did a good job last night but thats not the whole story.

Now I will be the first to say as I did in the other thread that they should not have gone and torn down the signs or ran on the field when the scuffle happened. But there should never had been a scuffle, we downed the ball the play was over and then the play continued. If you looked they police would not let any of our student section on the field till well after the game. This is a rivalry there is alot of emotion in a games between these schools in every sport, some people just let that get the best of the last night, but that was not the first time it happened. I hope this game wont be tainted by what happened after the game, because it was one of the best high school games I have seen.

well we beat McMinn county last year in the playoffs. I know that has no real bearing on this game but indirectly you can see what I mean. Dont let JPATS start a mudslings shish talkin war like he did with this west game. Dont know who will win but its gon be a great game i can tell you that.

JPATS you were watchin a different game than I was, yeah scoot, jeff, and carson all had big runs but look at how many times we punted. this was a hard fought game and the forgotten link in this whole thing is what won the game for us. THE JEFFERSON COUNTY DEFENSE. all the talk was scoot and jeffj vs. the west d. the O had a good game but the defense won the game in my opinion. they held west scoreless in the first half and then got hit in the mouth start of the 2nd half, but they came up with 3 HUGE turnovers in the fourth and that my friend is what brought a W back to Dumplin Valley. and as far as the sportsmanship thing, yeah maybe we should not have torn down the signs but I think Pee Wee started that scuffle at the end, we downed the ball the play was over and he was in the backfield, I couldnt tell cause we were tryin to get out of there but thats what it looked like to me.

haha I think somebody got tired of talkin sh!t, I respect West but that dont mean I love everyone that goes there and plays football there. I will be there and I will be at Jeff/West games in the years to come. I just think this is the start of a Jeff winning trend in the series where as it have been a a West winning trend for the better part of a decade. I racked my brain to think of who Jeff CO played last year on the 13th and it was infact Motown West. I guess the reason that loss didnt sting as much is because I was reminded how trivial football is in the big scheme of things that week.
