  1. I heard from a very reliable source that he was quitting football and going with the band because the football bus only has guys riding. The band buses have females that look a whole lot better than the football players. I always knew Boo was an intelligent young man. Also, someone said that Chris Donald wanted to start a water polo team and be team captain. He is going to present to the school board in the near future. Ethan Parham has left the team and is starting a high school ghost busters interest group. He believes his future lies in this area of paranormal activities. Did anyone hear about Coach Pritchard is now into snake handlin' in his church? Rumors are flying. GO MUSTANGS!!!! Three weeks, one day, three hours and it's Jamboree TIME.
  2. The Huntingdon Mustangs all gold look is exciting to Mustang fans. Blue helmets had been tradition since the stone age. Coach Mansfield brought forth the idea of Gold Helmets and it has been remarkable the past two years. I can't figure out how to post a picture of Boo Weathers and Chris Donald in all gold.
  3. I encourage all to keep a watch out for Huntingdon's Chris Donald. Last year he ran all over Milan in the Semifinals and keep Lipscomb busy in the championship game. More importantly he has his head on straight, is a good kid from a great family. I hope he can stay injury free and his future is very bright.
  4. Huntingdon has the potential to be successful both offensively and defensively. They are graduating about 19 seniors from both sides of the ball, but if you noticed, during the 4th quarter, the second and third strings were playing very well against DLHS 1st stringers. Even some of the freshmen played near the end and had good showings. The key to remember is a quote from Coach Jimmy Pritchard who says potential means you haven't done anything yet. Several of us standing together during the parade last night were already whining about being ready for 2004 football to start. We truly are football junkies.
  5. FYI, David Lipscomb was a Church of Christ Minister in the late 1880's that owned a large farm on the edge of Nashville. He willed the property to build a Bible College to teach men to preach. It has grown into a University DLU, and also has a high school DLHS. Interesting point every student must attend Chapel and a Bible class every day or all of the property reverts back to the Lipscomb family. In the early 80's, then DLC David Lipscomb College had a couple of NAIA national champs in baseball and were very competitive in basketball also.
  6. One of the Mustangs' chief strengths is the depth at most positions with minimal dropoff in talent. I do look forward to the game. I hope CC can play well because HHS needs the experience of playing tough teams to prepare for the playoffs. It is hard to believe that three teams that HHS will or has played that are usually at the top are all 0-3 or 0-4 ie Bruceton, Union City, and Westview.
