well it would have put NCS down by 4 or 5 with like 3 minutes left so I think thatd give them a pretty good shot. Seriously though, the TSSAA needs to require a shot clock even if it is 45 seconds. I still dont see how you are trying to discredit NCS' Region championship. We won and people rarely ever stopped our 3 point shooting all year. If Summertown wouldnt have shot 85% in the first half we would have beat them and then could have caused some problems in state. If you cant stop somebody its hard to beat them.

You say that every team has a bad game every once in a while, and NCS had one against FRA. They are a 3 point team and their shots werent falling. Also, Jarrett's truck was stolen the weekend before the game that was on a Monday and none of the players or coaches' minds were on the game. I saw Coach Anderson have a private conversation with an alleged victom literally 5 minutes before tip-off. The players were not focused, and thus played poorly. Another factor was the refs. It was absolutely ridiculous... I remember one play where the call shoud clearly have been made and both refs looked at eachother in complete confusion for literally 15 seconds and neither one of them even saw the play. There was about 5 or 6 terrible calls that changed the outcome of the game. If Cameo made the layup NCS was still in a good position to win. But oh well it was still close despite all of this. FRA is decent but they werent as good as NCS last year. come holler at the REGION CHAMPIONS!!!!

I'm just trying to figure out which game in region we "played really well and shouldnt have won"??? Also, you must be a FRA fan because we own FRA. We went to your house and humiliated you guys. I mean c'mon you lost to East Robertson by like 25! what a joke! but thats beside the point, NCS was the best team in the region last year and is returning their 3 leading scorers and will be dangerous once again this year.

Hillwood came out on fire and maintained their lead as they beat Shelbyville. man is #2 fast. What a turnaround this year for the Toppers. It looks like they will host Clarksville Northwest next week. any thoughts on this showdown? GO TOPPERS!

Davidson should be really solid despite losing that ballhog Willoughby. If Goodpasture lost that little PG #3 (Batey i think??) then they should be much better in the turnover department. Nashville Christian should be darn good again. I went and watched them play last year and ill be darned if it didnt look like them gosh darn Indiana Hoosiers up in Bloomington.

He's pretty big and pretty darn good and runs hard, especially for a sophmore. him and #78 are gonna be studs by the time they get through in Sparta.

When was the last time this game meant so much? Hillwood is on a roll and Hillsboro is tough as always. What are yalls predicitons and does anybody think Hillwood will pull off the upset? How is Hillsboros line? I think it should be a good game if Hillwood can continue to play very solid defense. I think the number of turnovers and penalties will be key in this game. GO TOPPERS!!!

It took the Toppers a while to shake off the rust and get things going offensively after the first drive, but they git the job done. Great game by #1 Chris Brown , he ran hard and ran straight through the "steel curtain" defense. He did an exceptional job on defense and kept the Wildcats out of the endzone. This kid is foreal. Also a great game for Antonio Lewis with the change of pace and also running hard up the middle. A question for Lawrence Co. fans: how come #4 didnt run the ball or play more last night? He didnt play the first few series and came in and ran the ball hard but i idnt see much of him last night. good luck the rest of the season. HUGE game next week: Hillwood @ Hillsboro... should be a great one... Hillwood has the firepower to keep up with Hillsboro its just going to come down to mistakes and turnovers. congrats to coach link and the toppers! GO TOPPERS!!! 5-0!!!!

Hillwood has a good 1-2 punch with their running backs, #1 and #2. Their passing game is also proficient with many big targets and Rucker also a threat on the ground.

it should be a great game. both teams are coming off big wins and it should make for a good match-up. what are some of Lawrence Co.'s strengths and weaknesses? It appears they have a pretty strong passing game as well as running by #4. good luck to both teams!

That was an impressive win for the Toppers last night and really puts them in a good position to make the playoffs. I like your analysis of the regional standings. keep up the good work! I agree that Columbia has a better shot than White Co. because of their schedule. It is a shame Columbia and White Co. dont play eachother. Also, I think Overton has a shot at getting that 4th spot. WHat does their schedule look like?

Balance as opposed to the previous weeks where Rucker threw many many pass attemps and we couldn't get the running game going.

Hillwood showed a little more balance offensively as senior RB Chris Brown rushed for 184 yards on 29 carries and 3 TD's. The Toppers spoiled Sparta's homecoming and sent many fans home unhappy. Hillwood picked up a huge region win as they continue to roll to a 4-0 start. They host Lawrence Co. next week in another big region game. Congratulations to both teams and go toppers!

Rucker is a bad man. What if Hillwood beats White Co. and Lawrence Co. the next two weeks (very likely), and is 5-0 going into the game with Hillsboro? This could be a big game. just a thought...

The Toppers looked somewhat sloppy after last week's win against Columbia, but got the win nonetheless. Fairview controlled the clock running the ball in the first half and did not allow Hillwood to have the ball for much of the game. I did not mean to start any trashtalking. It just seems to me that every Fairview post I read Fairview is talking trash to other teams and acting like they are God. sorry if it came out that i was talking trash. In case you havent noticed, Hillwood doesn't have a rich tradition in football so scheduling a smaller school at home is a good way to bring in fans. At Hillwood half of their fans won't come to another game if they lose early in the season. It's just part of rebuilding a program. Should Riverdale be trashed for agreeing to play CPA? I think this should actually be a pretty close game with Fairview probably having an advantage on the line, and Hillwood at the skill positions. Good Luck to both teams.

The Toppers came out juiced last night against Columbia, and despite a few questionable calls and big plays by columbia, controlled the game. De Rucker threw for 346 yards and 2 TDs, rushed for 60 and 1 td, and returned a punt 65 yards for a TD. Columbia has some speed in the backfield but their defense could use some work. This was a huge win for the Toppers as they now put themselves in great position to make a playoff run. Does anybody from the Columbia-Franklin game have any thoughts on columbia, i.e. was it a blowout or was it actually pretty close? All these trash-talkin Fairview fans better get ready to play a real team with some serious athletes. I hope you guys like chasing 4.3 speed around all night. GO TOPPERS! PLAYOFF BOUND!
