  1. Davidson put out GP last year and is still a dangerous team. Could 10A sweep again? its possible...
  2. Ha Ha I dont know about all that eagleswin, but NCS played poorly and still won, despite playing 5 on 8. Like we all said over and over again, we will get the last laugh, so what do you have to say to the "MUTT" now??? wheres all the McEwen fans at??
  3. Right, NCS/Ezell plays the winner of CPA/Houston Co., McEwen/FRA plays the winner of GP/Davidson Academy.... should be good
  4. Jarrett Anderson is healthy. should be a good game.
  5. OMG Jarrett is fine calm down holy moly get off his jock, he didnt take many shots and got some phantom charges. NCS will be ok, dont worry about them. Chaz Payne played, just not very well.
  6. First of all, Congratulations on all 3 of both your posts. Second of all, Hillwood dominated Ravenwood twice this year, so I dont know why we are even talking about this. Ravenwood had a more successful season?? based on what? Hillwood is about to play Centennial for the chance to play for the District championship after they just ended the #1 team in the districts' season, whle you guys are sitting at home. Congrats on your big regular season wins over all those tough A and AA opponents. It shows that it really payed off. hey man, good luck next year
  7. How bout them Toppers baybee!! They're on fire baybee! Saffore is the Landlord! Thou Shall Not enter the lane! Goldie Hall is a high riser baybeee!! Hes the elevator man!! Up Up and Awaaayyy!!! Jerel Flint is a PTP'er baybeee!!!!!!! Good Win Coach G. Hillwood is gonna beat Centennial
  8. O Ok, well then one of your friends can holla at us
  9. MHSCheer, me and my boy look better than Jonathan Bell so holla at us we'll be at the District and Region Tourneys. P.S. - we were at the McEwen-Harpeth game
  10. Ok, I was there and I sat with many of the players and there was not one single racial comment made toward #14. One of the players knew her from around and knew her name so somebody hollered her name and everytime her name was mentioned she would give the students a response and react. This is a sign of a player who is not mentally focused and an easy target to get her head out of the game. The players chanted her name and nothing else bad was said and she would get mad and take bad shots and commit turnovers. Also, a many times (more than 3) she either flicked the students off, cussed at them (shut the f up), or yelled at them in a fit of rage. It is obvious that they got in her head and as a player you can not allow fans to get in your head. Nothing dirogatory was yelled at her but yet she showed horrible sportsmanship and acted with poor class. Also, a mother from East Robertson went nuts after one of the calls and she ran out of the stands, flicked the entire NCS crowd off, waved, and ran out of the gym. Talk about class. the refs called the game in favor of East Robertson, so to say that NCS gets an unfair advantage at home is obsurd. If the game would have been called evenly, NCS would have won by about 6-8 more points. How did this turn from a thread about last nights game into a bashing of NCS and their sportsmanship at McEwen and all of their "unsportsmanlike" acts over the years? boo hoo hoo cry me a river. They havent done anything like holding a sign that says "MUTT", thats for darn sure. Keep hatin and NCS will keep winnin. You guys blow everything so out of proportion. 3 of the students over there were black, so how could they be yelling racial comments at somebody? You people need to get a life instead of worrying about whats going on at NCS.
  11. what they did was just extend the zone out on Bell when he got the ball to make sure he didnt get a look. It worked for the first half, but Bell got some looks although it didnt make that much of a difference. Skelton did not get a good shot off the entire game. We'll see what they do if they meet again.
  12. Jamont has the talent but he needs to play for a high-caliber AAU team that travels alot, and he needs to participate in the Nike or Adidas summer camps. If he does this he will gain national recognition and all of the recruiting gurus will see his capabilities.
  13. I agree, NCS always manages to get a lot of offensive rebounds due to the long shots, although they are not a very good rebounding team. Im not sure that I agree that McEwen has a lot of size other than Puckett although I guess that Bubba and #4 are "wide." Houston Co. has a good amount of size and Skelton is very active. If NCS plays HC I would expect NCS to go back to the 1-2-2 zone they ran earlier in the season to frustrate HC. They must rebound if they do go to a zone vs any team although Coach Anderson does not like to change his defensive plans for anyone. DA also rebounds well with the elevator man Gipson. he's a high riser baybee! Should be a great tournament.
  14. I agree with Big48Eagle... I could spend time arguing why Dave is better, but I don't feel the need to. It's not even close. No offense to Zach because he's a great player
  15. lol, sry... the first half was meant to go on the dca-CPA thread... when did lackey dunk on cam?
  16. Don't count out Houston Co., Davidson, or East Robertson just yet... HC beat a good AA Waverly team last night and almost beat another 10AA team in Cheatham Co. a few nights earlier. Davidson can control a game, will play hard-nosed defense, and also has some weapons on offense. East Robertson has a good big man in Swearingen and Fosnes can shoot. If anybody remembers last year's region tourney... they would know to not count any of these teams out just yet.
  17. David plays point and, in my opinion, outplayed Kirk Glisper last night. Yeah, I agree that the Tennessean got a little carried away with their descriptions of Cam, but he is a solid player and defender who can erupt at any time. He's a Junior
  18. McEwen over CA NCS over WHH HC over East DA over JB HC over McEwen NCS over DA NCS over HC McEwen over DA that is, if i got the 2nd round match-ups right. Is that how it would go?
  19. What a difference a coach makes at Ezell Harding. Ezell dropped considerably as far as talent and has had a much better season. I don't know if they realize how good they could be with Lackey inside. Also, do any Ezell fans know how many points Lackey had at Harpeth? I remember watching him dominate inside, and I never saw a box score on the game. Thanks.
  20. I agree, Dave accels under pressure and has got to be one of the most efficient Point Guards in the Midstate. He always rises to the occasion and will not back down from anybody. Once Jarrett gets back into shape and into his groove, this team could be scary. The sky is the limit.
  21. NCS slowed the tempo down for much of the game, with Cam Biggs scoring 20 off the bench. Cam was a one man fast-break at times, showing AAA Pearl his explosion. David Anderson did a tremendous job breaking the press and controlling the game against the much more athletic Firebirds. Anderson was closely guarded by Glisper from the tip-off, but he did not back down. Judging from this game alone, I would consider Anderson a better player than Glisper, but this was just one game. I would just like to see David to get some respect and possibly an offer to play college ball somewhere. Jarrett still looks sluggish, but is continuing to improve. Mathis from Pearl Cohn was excellent, and Pearl dominated the glass. Glisper scored many of his points off free throws and could not get his shot to go down all night. Good Luck to both teams and congratulations to the Seniors from NCS on Senior Night. Hopefully, this will build some momentum for the tournament. NCS hosts White-House Heritage Tuesday for the opening round of the district tourney. GO EAGLES!
