I've seen a few box scores where He had like 10 or less, and Ive wondered what happened. Even when he only scores around 12-14, I dont see how they did it. This kid is the real deal.

I think that McEwen's role players really are that bad, but Puckett is just so good that he has made them contendors. If you choose to guard Puckett one-on-one then he is going to light you up (like MR. MURRAY STATE). If you help on him then he is going to find the open man and with good passing they should get an open shot. I have not seen a box-and-1 ran on Puckett but it would probably be the most effective defense. However, Puckett is a legit 6'8'' and shoots a hanging jumpshot over his head so he can get his shot off from anywhere on the court.

Yep, thats right. I didnt wanna try and guess how many he had and be way off. He outplayed Dansby tonight and actually played some Defense. Dansby is a great player, but I think that Puckett is more talented. Also, Puckett looked a good 3 inches taller than Dansby. Puckett looks like he is a legit 6'8'', and he played Point Guard the whole night. He had 3 dunks, with 2 coming on Shane off the dribble. On the last one, he cocked it back with his left hand and threw it down hard with his elbow above the rim. Puckett almost beat a hot Harpeth team all by himself. He also had many rebounds and around 4 blocks on Shane alone. Dansby got a nice oop off the backboard on a fast break and muscled out many baskets inside while also hitting a few jumpers. He needs to work on his defensive effort and hustle, along with his quickness, dribbling, and shooting before he goes to Murray State this fall. However, he has the talent to be a succesful collegiate player. Good luck to both players.

Harpeth won 66-55 I believe. Dansby and Puckett both had good games, but I dont know stats.

If this was true, CPA would have won by 30+. I dont think so, considering that no player in middle Tennessee averages over 30 points. If you've seen Jamont or Corey Brewer play, then you'd know that they are both heavily relied on and have freedom to take many shots. Not to mention that they are on a different level than Sikes and even Puckett. However, Sikes is not nearly as dominant as Puckett is. I think they shoot an equal 3 point % and Puckett is 6'7''. Puckett releases the ball high on his jump shot and is nearly impossible to guard. Puckett can take the ball down low and take over a game or he can run point and distribute the ball. I don't see anything that Sikes can do that Puckett can't. Im sorry but Puckett doesnt take as many shots as people think. He is very unselfish and a team player. Puckett is on a different level than Sikes.

Puckett is better than Sikes.

NCS couldn't do anything right the whole game. They couldn't make a shot and Harpeth couldn't miss. Harpeth controlled the entire game and Shane was on fire. Most of the other players who Ive never seen hardly score in my life couldn't miss a shot. NCS didnt come to play. Congrats to Harpeth, but to everybody else in the region, dont get too happy because NCS will be back. Go Eagles.

That Matthew Tant guy over at Vanderbilt isn't doing too bad.

Ive seen McPherson against Page where he could not miss and ive also seen him a few other games where he missed quite a few. I wouldnt neccesarily say that he takes any more threes than Skinner, Walker or the Andersons individually, it's just that McPherson is the only player for DL who shoots threes (except for Mantlo and Pharr occasionally). McPherson has a nice stroke and a very quick release, I would also just like to see NCS' shooters get some recognition.

NCS came out inspired and took it to DA tonight. Jarrett finished with 12 and 2 3s playing limited minutes. David had 14, and Skinner had 15 with 3 3s. C-UNIT dropped a few bombs as well. NCS looked like the team of old and it looks like they are once again a force to be reckoned with. Jarrett showed no signs of pain and very little signs of fatigue, and the whole team seemed to feed off of his energy. NCS looks like the state tournament contendors from the beginning of the season. Welcome Back Jarrett and good game to the rest of the fellas.

Yeah i think thats what Big48 was goin for there, since he already knew J. was playin tonight. He had a couple threes and ended up with 12, playing limited minutes. NCS showed out on DA tonight behind the return of Sarge and great crowd support. final i believe was 69-42. NCS opened the 2nd half with a 20-3 run and never looked back. Looks like they're getting back on track and hopefully with Anderson back they'll be back to the top of 1A.

hey buddy, I never said Anderson was "better" than Sikes and I also never said that Sikes should not be nominated for Mr. Basketball. I pointed out why he was being more strongly considered over David. If I was a voter I would vote Sikes over Anderson indefinetly. Calm down pal.

ha ha ha. you're clueless. Lately? This is the 4th straight year hes been draining 3s and running point. David doesn't take many shots and has just began to take more since Jarrett got injured. Dave shoots the highest % on a team full of shooters, and he doesn't take that many. He has NBA range and his Assist/Turnover ratio is extremely high. As far as comparing him to Sikes, Sikes is probably the better athlete and is a Mr. Basketball canidate because his stats are better than Dave's.

Congratulations on winning 11AAA. Ive seen Hickman Co. play a few times this year and have been very impressed. Leaver and Dotson are very versatile and #20 (CJ?) is a very good shooter and ballplayer. Keep doin what your doin and let those haters keep hatin.

There was no "excessive contact." The NCS player swiped at the ball and got a hold of it and pucketts hands perhaps and puckett fell down. Maybe he should hit the weights. If he wants to play DI ball, he needs to get stronger.

I completely agree. however, I wouldnt worry about them. We will get the last laugh, whether it is in basketball or in life.

Oh, and to whoever made/had anything to do with the sign, I feel sorry for your mother. Cam was raised in East Nashville and was adopted by a loving family who put him in NCS. He was moved to NCS to keep him away from all of the bad stuff that goes on in his old neighborhood and look what he has to put up with. This is a disgrace, and the most classless thing I have seen in a long time. Just because Cam is half African American and he has loving parents who are trying to do the right thing, he has to put up with all of this garbage from a bunch of redneck, white trash pieces of crap who have no class or dignity. I stand by my words of calling him soft. His only field goals inside of 10 feet were the dunks, with the first an uncontested oop and the second on a 5'10'' freshman. If I was 6'7'' I could throw down on a little freshman too. He was babysat by the refs the entire game and NCS got the shaft. The first quarter was so unevenly called that it became a joke. Maybe there are advantages of living so far away so nobody can see the terrible officiating. Thats two years in a row. Congrats to McEwen, thats 5 straight wins and still not one that means anything. Does anybody know how i can contact Puckett's babysitter I need to find out how much he charges.
