Russell is a great athlete but he is not an entire team! FC feels much better when #2 is on the field but Russell or not the Rebels really have to come together as a team to WIN!

Russell was ejected from the game Friday against Shelbyville for unsportsmanlike conduct. Bishop did walk off the field Friday and was really in NO position to be conducting himself in that manner. Apparently is was involved in some activities the weekend of the LC game that required law enforcement! No word on the appeal as of Monday around 5:30 pm

Bishop is off the team and Russell got ejected from the Shelbyville game. FC is appealing it and should know something by Monday!

I saw a few FC games last year and was aware of the problems they had early on with players leaving the team. They obviously had more than one catcher during the season, the kid I saw didn't seem to struggle at all. Anyway, It's good to hear Brown is back, he always looked good behind the plate

Congratulations Riverdale.... Congratulations LC........ Both teams have had a very impressive year and have represented their schools well. It's tough to lose at any level but to get to the 3rd round and know going in that only one team can win must have been more than a little intense. It would have been difficult to pick the winner any other way but down to the clock. Two teams with a tremendous amount of talent. Riverdale..... I'm quite certain that you earned that victory. Good Luck as you continue. LC..... the best team I have seen at the high school level in years. Until next year......GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the above mentioned events that occured on the sidelines are true. It is disappointing to say the least and very uncalled for. FC has alot of talent as well as a great group of kids. Try not to judge the entire team by the actions of a few. I'd like to encourage the FC Rebels as they continue to the second round of playoffs to play hard, play to win, but do it with class. You are representing your school, your fellow teammates, and your coaches that have dedicated their time and knowledge of the game in hopes that all of you will experience something that will be one of your fondest memories. Your performance on the field is the difference between WINNING and LOSING but attitude is everything and says alot about WHO YOU ARE! And that stays with you for a lifetime. GOOD LUCK REBELS.....you have potential ....don't confuse convidence with cockiness. And remember "playing dirty" doesn't make you a WINNER!

I find it interesting, to say the least, reading all the different opinions and/or comments on this match up. Actually, this entire season has been loaded with some interesting thoughts. LC is one of the best high school teams I have seen in quite some time. They are a very strong ,determined group of talented young men that have obviously been well-coached. If LC should happen NOT to win the state; I definitely want to see the team that beats them. Good Luck LC......and as always.....GO REBELS!!!!!!!!!!

FC has a strong defense and not a bad looking offense. Good running game. They just need to pass the ball more often. They seem to have some decent hands on the team!
