Just to clarify the timeout play, I'm not going to say Crockett shouldn't got the timeout, but the pass was thrown to an illegal receiver. They ran trips to the tight end side covering up the tight end. He is the one who caught the pass. It should have been a penalty to begin with, but that is something a lot of Refs don't see or catch.

I saw a little of the U.C. and Camden scrimmage friday and U.C. was out of the shotgun every play. Is this gonna be thier offense?

I been in coaching long enough to know there is politics in everything. What are they looking for in a coach? Does the community support the program? I saw that they have 17 seniors coming back. What kind of offense did they run? What did they do on defense? What is the biggest reason they were 5-5 and 2-4 in the region. Is Copper Basin a good place to raise a famly? I'm in West TN and don't know alot about Copper Basin, but I might be interested in finding out more. Are they still taking applications or is it too late to apply?

I know that Henry County is looking for a head Girls coach. I have heard they were also going to find a new Head Boys Coach. Has anyone else heard that?

Is there any word on the Hickman Co. job?

The only point I was making is, if the coach is playing a sophmore in both varsity and J.V. I'm sure the coach feels he needs more game experience to make him a better player on the varsity team. But hey that is just my opinion.

It doesn't matter how much you get done in practice, there is no substitute for game experience being varsity or JV. I don't think it is unrealistic to play a game on monday and friday. I think if you asked the players they want to play as much as possible.

I don't want this to be board hanging material so I'm not gonna say which team, but when the game is over come back and read this: ONe team will score in the thirties and one team will score 7 on the first team and 7 more on the subs. Final score: 35 to 14 the winner is ??

I do not mean this personally toward any player at OCCHS. I do know some of the players. This is more about looking at yourself. Maybe Coach Greer didn't practice as much as people thinks he should. But real players are not made during school practices in any sport. It is what the player is willing to do on his or her own time. How many hours do you put in on your own. I know it is hard to shoot baskets outside in the winter. But nothing worth while comes easy. I heard when Coach Hill was at OCCHS, football players came in every morning before school started and caught 100 passes. I don't know about open gym on the weekends, but I bet it was open before school started everyday. And maybe the players came in on their own before school and shot foul shots and worked on their ball handling(sp). I don't know. I hope if you play baseball you go to the strike zone and work on your hitting on your own time. If your a pitcher, I hope you don't wait till season gets here to start throwing. If you play football, I hope you catch 100 passes before school. I am not blaming the players or the coach. I'm saying it is easy to put the blame on somebody, but before you do you need to make sure you did all you can do to make yourself the best player you can be. Because if you don't you will end up like titansno1, making excuses for the rest of your life!

First of all a moderator needs to get on here and lock this board. All you people want to do is bash the coach. Second, titansno1 if you were doing a full shift of work you wouldn't have time to talk about the coach. But you are probably one of those that spend as much time in the break room as you do out on the floor. Are you giving your employer everything you should? Why don't some of you people go get your degree and start coaching you obviously know more than people who have spent their whole life playing and coaching the game!!!

Congratulations Covington on your win over Brighton. All of us here at Obion Co. will be rooting yall on this friday. I don't know anything about Greenbrier, but I'm sure they are good. Good luck and go West Tn. Can anybody tell me a radio station out of Covington that will carry the game?

Hey Slobber, That team you drilled in week 1, was a team playing its first game with a new coach. You don't want any part of them now. Drew could take lessons from Moore. Obion is a running team now, and Moore still has about 1200 yrds passing on about 50 completions. They got beat by Trenton, but that is what happens when you don't go out ready to play. All I can say about Covington is that they are 3rd in the region behind Obion and Ripley! I know this isn't a post about Obion, but I'm not the one who brought them into this post.

If Milan wins this game, they shouldn't have any trouble winning it all in 2A. I really don't think they have played a team the quality of Covington. Milan will find it hard to break the big play, with all the speed on defense that Covington has. If Milan wins I think it will be with their defense. Covington is predictable with their offense. I think Covington will win a close one without much scoring. Maybe 14-13.
