I wouldn't make plans for next week just yet..tied against North last I heard.

well the chances were there but way too many mistakes. I'm guessing that DB won the time of possession battle by a mile just like coach wanted to do and just like Waco predicted it didn't work. Discipline was terrible...way too many penalties (of course I don't agree with a few of them but that didn't beat them)

I would argue it isn't even close. We were talking about this at work the other day. This team has probably 2 of the greatest athletes to walk the halls. But I would choose one of the teams that Duran lead. He was lethal with the pass (Lamon Williams) and he was big and could run. They had a great running game to compliment (Moten, etc) and great Catfish defenses (Tyler Naughty, Papas, etc) that could defend the pass (defend the pass, what's that?) Those were teams that had some great battles with Oak Ridge. This game may very well go DBs way but I would like the chances better with one of those...more balanced all around.

I heard the Gman on his show yesterday talking about getting games with teams in Chattanooga because of the odd district 1 configuration (7 team conference vs. 8 team conference) so I'm not sure how the scheduling will fall out. He also mentioned that the unbalanced district was due to a District 2 team not wanting to move out into District 1. No team was mentioned...anybody know the school?

It's cool...Anywho...did you go and get married or something because you seem to have softened on the DB haterade thing a little! But I'm a little skeptical so I'll have to hold out judgement until after this game Have you thought about coming back to Kingsport and start a newspaper? We are in desperate need of one With Bill Lane getting let go last week I doubt the SWVa Times will even send a reporter down to this game...they may just sit on Coacht and grab the story off here.

Who the crap said anything about Malik making it as far as Randall Cobb? If I read correctly pep brought up Cobb! And as far as I can tell Randall Cobb will not figure into the final score of this game. Just plain silly talk

I agree with that. At least he actually writes/reports about high school sports. Pretty sad that the SWVa times can't get it and it's left up to the JC press to write about DB.

We shouldn't be shocked because the same stuff has been said week after week. Science hill week "over by halftime" and DB can pick there SCORE" and then the game was almost lost and then SH was a great team! I guessyou and I just aren't "real" fans.

listen I don't have to make statements that make the DB fanbase look like idiots to be a fan,. I'll never concede a win and I would gladly choose this group of young men to go down to maryville and represent the program. I have all the confidence they can go down and pull out a victory....but I don't have to make ridiculous comments like "DB will pick their score" and "it will be over by halftime" to get behind the team. And then if the bubble burst then your comments are what most will remember and associate with the whole...not the effort put forth by the team on the field. Do I really care what other fans think about us? Absolutely not. But I would rather them dislike us because DB beats them and they don't like it, not because we as fans act like horse rear ends.

I'm not just happy to be here! and I'm dang sure those kids that lay it on the line each week aren't just happy to be in the 3rd round.

I hope you are correct on that point because in my opinion the game plan from the last 2 weeks wont get er done. not to mention the defensive backfield....ughhh

sounds great...the fanbase needs a little noise I guess. tonight's crowd was pretty mellow for such a tight game. big turnout as usual but not very vocal.
