  1. Fairview, just try to schedule more non district games against better talent that's closer to home, any team from Williamson Co. would work. I've always been in favor of a Williamson Co. tournament...
  2. Jason Sparks of Centennial, started freshman year, actually played travel with Lowder, very good player, I'd take him over any sophomore in the state, including Lowder, because he can play anywhere on the field, and more importantly, will play anywhere on the field, if asked.
  3. I know Centennial has struggled of late, going 0-1-1, with a 1-5 loss against BGA and a 1-1 tie with Page. After seeing Brentwood dominate in their first four games, can the Cougars get it going to beat the Bruins in this 11-AAA matchup? Or will Brentwood remain undefeated? Just want to know what everyone else thinks...
  4. How about instead of Wayne Co. players and fans not talking, how about those who have nothing constructive to say shut their mouth?(yes, you dwash)
  5. Cal Long is definetely one of the best players in the mid-state. He's a defender, so he doesn't get all the goals, but this kid rarely lets the ball AND his man past him. Very good player.
  6. chs05, how was Centennial's offense, was there a lot of pressure put on the defense of Hendersonville? I'm glad to hear Patrick is playing to his usual standards, he really is underrated in the state.
  7. Just wondering everyone's input.
  8. What about other teams, like Overton, Hickman Co., Ravenwood, and Hillwood. Any chance they can suprise people?
  9. Gomab i normally agree with you but Centennial isnt average, yeah lost to Siegel, but beat Blackman... i would have to say they are one of the better teams
  10. Just wondering how my old cougars are going to fare this year.
  11. How good is Germantown' secondary? Because the DB's vs. Franklin's WR will be a huge matchup.
  12. The main thing Franklin has to do is play consistently well in all 4 quarters. Hendersonville WILL come back in the seocnd half, so if you keep scoring, they cant come back!!
  13. This should be a good game. Hendersonville's Watson did a great job against Centennial friday night, and will try to do it again, but this time against a better secondary. Franklin has to watch the short screens that Hendersonville will throw against them. Franklin just needs to play consistently all four quarters. Both Dickson Co. and Centennial played good games, but not for the whole game. If Franklin can run the ball consistently, and score points in each quarter, they should take this win.
  14. Can I have full stats for all three of the nominees?
  15. First off, everytime Hendersonville scores early, Centennial will score early too. That's how they've done it against BA, BGA, Franklin, Brentwood, Dickson Co, and Antioch. Points early will merely set up a close half time score, i say within a touchdown. As for who Centennial would rather play, I'm thinking Brentwood. The Bruins don't have the mental block over Centennial that Franklin has, and though a quarterfinal matchup could be a nice way to get a first win, no chances want to be taken.
  16. Guess we'll see come friday. But Hendersonville couldn't stop Coker and Brown, so it'll be tough for them to stop Steele, Bates, Koenn and Horton. afpuck, do you have anymore information about hendersonville? Who are their key players and such.
  17. Holding Coker and Brown to a combined 44 yards is the key to this win. What an effort by this Centennial team, congratulations to all of you guys!!!
  18. This is how football goes hand in hand in life. If these kids go out there and fight on the field, they'll do it later on in life. Its not helping when the coaches are threatening players. This is embarassing for the state of tennessee.
  19. If Oakland had won, i think the whole state would be flipped upside down lol!! But i heard they played a well fought game..
  20. hey, I like how Brentwood is looking ahead. I hope you beat Franklin, you'll already be looking at state, but you'll forget a little team called Centennial, and this time, we WILL take a knee. But keep looking ahead.....
  21. No ineligable players here!! The big thing about this game is the new found defense of Centennial. Held Coker to 30 rushing yards, and Antioch all together to like 150 yards all together. It's going to feel weird being the favorite for once, but the Cougars will have to step it up and get another big win.
  22. As much as I'd like Lincoln Co. to get upset(no offense, I just wouldn't like any 6-5A teams to see them in the blue-cross bowl!) they're going to beat Smyrna. I don't know if it's going to be as one sided as everyone seemed to think it would be. This is the playoffs, and any team can win. Just ask Antioch. Lincoln Co-38 Smyrna-28
  23. Looks like the Brentwood-Franklin rematch is here again.........and, for the first time, the winner could go on to face.................CENTENNIAL? heck yea buddy!!! Not to look ahead or anything, just find it cool that only one team from Williamson Co. did not advance......the rest of us made the cut!! Guess its time to get ready for the second round......
  24. After Centennial's stunning victory over Antioch, and Hendersonville's win over Dickson County, these two teams face off in a game that could be a very, very good game. Obviously, one of these teams are going to the quarterfinals, which Hendersonville did two years ago on their way to the state final. Centennial, however, has never felt that glory, and is ready to take another step forward in their short history. Still too early to predict anything, just want to know what other people think about this game!
  25. Well, while the TSSAA was lazy, the decision stands, the court ruled that he was ineligable yesterday.
