Lincoln County will be very good this year. They will have 30 seniors, thats a good amount of your team, so I expect this team to be physical, tough on the offensive side if Ellis and Shelton stay healthy, and very strong defensively. I love the way Coach Thompson approaches every season and I wish him the very best. He helped me out a lot when I was there and he is a great role model for his team. He show's class, competiveness, and fire in every game. LC should be the number team this year, as long as the injury bug doesn't bite. I think good offseason conditioning is key to that. I agree with you 82cat, playing in a week region, with the exception of Cookeville, Lincoln County never sees complicated sets that would challenge them during the state playoffs. I think that is why you see the Falcons play tough teams such as Riverdale, Franklin, etc. so they can get that feeling of playing against good teams. The prime example of Lincoln County being hurt because of a weak region was in 2004 when the Falcons were 10-0. If they would've played in Region 4, they might have had a couple of losses, but it could have better prepared them for the playoffs.
