  2. Riverdale may have to go out of state. I think there are a few Alabama schools that might be open such as Bob Jones in Madison or Hazel Green, just south of Fayetteville.
  3. Go Lady Falcons!!! Great Job Coach Smith!
  4. Both of these teams are veryyyy good. I can't wait until Monday. I think it will be a duel that will go down to the last strike.
  5. Lincoln County played well in the scrimmage, but it doesn't mean much. I do expect the Falcons to have a good 2006 season, just in the fact they have around 30 seniors. Smyrna.... they will me improved. Will they win the region? Not sure, you can't count out Wilson Central and of course Riverdale. I don't think Riverdale will go undefeated, but they will be strong.
  6. 5:30 at Blackman. Game will be broadcast live at www.blackmanblazeonline.com
  7. Listen to the LIVE broadcast online at www.blackmanblazeonline.com, remember you can listen to the game anytime after the conclusion of the broadcast. Is WGNS broadcasting the game ?

  9. So it's Shelbyville-Columbia tommorrow. Blackman and Riverdale are in the District 7-AAA Finals. So now we know our 4 teams going to the regions.

    8AAA Fields

Lincoln County has a nice facility. At least most of the 8-AAA teams have pressboxes, it gets cold broadcasting games in early spring outside like I have to with most teams in 7-AAA. Those teams in 7-AAA that don't have pressboxes are working on that, so hopefully they will have them soon. I agree Tullahoma and Franklin County have nice stadiums.

    FANS?

I remember when I played varsity tennis in high school, Shelbyville Central always had fans, etc. They even had player introductions and the national anthem. Strange, but I guess they really care about their team. Not to mention Shelbyville fans usually drove me insane with their annoying chants and cheers.
  18. Lance Evans would be a perfect fit for Shelbyville. Evans is the current coach at Fayetteville Jr. High, his dad Billy Joe Evans was a legendary coach and is a former board member for the TSSAA.
  19. Lincoln County will be very good this year. They will have 30 seniors, thats a good amount of your team, so I expect this team to be physical, tough on the offensive side if Ellis and Shelton stay healthy, and very strong defensively. I love the way Coach Thompson approaches every season and I wish him the very best. He helped me out a lot when I was there and he is a great role model for his team. He show's class, competiveness, and fire in every game. LC should be the number team this year, as long as the injury bug doesn't bite. I think good offseason conditioning is key to that. I agree with you 82cat, playing in a week region, with the exception of Cookeville, Lincoln County never sees complicated sets that would challenge them during the state playoffs. I think that is why you see the Falcons play tough teams such as Riverdale, Franklin, etc. so they can get that feeling of playing against good teams. The prime example of Lincoln County being hurt because of a weak region was in 2004 when the Falcons were 10-0. If they would've played in Region 4, they might have had a couple of losses, but it could have better prepared them for the playoffs.
  20. Blackman does have something all other Rutherford County schools don't. They have an exclusive broadcast team that broadcasts every game. Next year, they will have live video for every game too!
  21. After reading all the comments on these posts, and seeing Blackman play every game last season. I have a few comments to make. Coach Wells wants his team to be a "team", not a one man show. Blackman's second concern is conditioning and working out in the off-season to make their team better. The third concern is establishing a set play system that will benefit both offensively and defensively. I expect Blackman to still have a rebuilding season. It can't get worse than it was last year. Plus, I feel Blackman has the potential to pull a few upsets, to go as far as to say Riverdale? I don't know. It's all sepeculation to this point. You set certain goals for a team in a rebuilding process such as the Blaze. If you get better results, than expected than you are happy with your effort. Coach wants his team to exert effort and of course have an undefeated season. If a coach goes into the season expecting his team to have a mediocre year, then you show your lack of confidence in coaching this team. You always set your expectations high, otherwise if you expect to fail, you will. My first concern will be playing in week 0, not playing Riverdale week's later. Let the Riverdale talk come later, and let's concentrate on post-season conditioning rather than speculation. Although, I would love to see the Blaze upset my Alma Mater, Lincoln County. lol. Nonetheless, make sure you guys listen to our scrimmage broadcast coming up in May at www. blackmanblazeonline.com.
  22. Fans can listen to games online at www.blackmanblazeonline.com Blackman got a huge win against Siegel 3-1 today. Play them tommorrow at 6:30, pre-game show at 6:15.
  23. There will be three games broadcasted for Blackman at the MTSCA tournament. 2 today including Columbia and Lincoln County and 1 tomorrow which is Shelbyville. Listen online at www.blackmanblazeonline.com
  24. Columbia Coffee Co. Lincoln Co.- underrated players with under-rated coach. Loudest place I've ever been to? Siegel-Oakland. Great atmosphere! Sorry to down 8-AAA but their atmosphere is no comparison to 7-AAA. Mainly because most of the 7-AAA schools are within a 20 mile radius.
  25. Columbia Lawrence Franklin County
