THE KIDS PLAYED WITH POISE THE ENTIRE 4TH QUARTER AND YOU COULD SEE IN THEIR BODY LANGUAGE . THEY EXPECTED TO MAKE THE PLAYS TO COME BACK AND WIN THE GAME.THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO FINISH THE JOB.WHY?THE CLOCK RAN OUT,NO TIMEOUTS LEFT,AND THEY WERE DOWN BY ONE BECAUSE OF YOU KNOW WHAT !!! John Paul I agree with you in that the receivers for Carter need to catch the ball as if their life depended on it.Too many drops and I know they know it because I personally discussed it with one of them.They will get this small problem fixed starting this week.I have faith in them.By the way John Paul,they did catch some of them didn't they ? lol

Hey shortstop,AE already beat Fulton.And it was not close in the second half.Technically ,when a team beats your team the way AE beat Fulton this year,you leave them alone until you play and beat them.Your Falcons lost to AE dude.That's not saying they are not a good team because I personally think they have gotten much better since the AE lost.Who knows who would win if they met again.But until then,lose the OBSESSION.

Finish second.Dude finishing 4th means that you will have to beat clinton AND EITHER west OR carter.No small feat for halls this year.It is certainly possible for halls to beat clinton,west and carter to finish a strong third.But the central thing added to that list is well ........

I like Halls over Clinton.They have a little momentum going eventhough the wins were not against great teams.Wins have a way of building confidence when they are strung together no matter who the opponent is.Carter and West will have to bring it to Halls when they meet.The CARTER/HALLS game could likely be for the last playoff spot like last year.We know what happened then.Should be an exciting finish for the 3rd and 4th spots in the region and the West Carter game this week could very well be for 3rd place.VERY HUUUUUGE GAME FOR BOTH CARTER AND WEST.

Big Daddy #12 has done that very same thing atleast 3 times this year.I wish the staff could find away to get him the ball in space and see if someone can chase him down for a change.

Roger one thing about me,i don't duck people after My team loses.For your info #30 had 72 yards rushing.Another thing,how can you be so sure that East would have moved the ball and scored.They went into the red zone in the 4th quarter atleast 3 times and came away with zero points.You won the game anyway and BIG CONGRATS TO THE MOEAST TEAM !!!!

The kids have no choice but to come together stronger now because their entire season is in the balance this Friday against a surging and talented WEST team.This game could and I stress could be for 3rd place in the region.However nothing is guaranteed.There is no room for a bad first half anymore this season.Again good luck and congrats to you and your son the rest of the way.

QBSDAD,we certainly have to agree to disagree on the two point attempt.I won't even mention not allowing #12 or anyone else for that matter to consider fielding the last punt thAT did not roll into the endzone as expected but stopped at the 3 yard line or so.Look at the tape.There was an opportunity for him to field it an possibly get some very much needed yardage.Why was this important,because we had no timeouts left and with his speed,you never know how far he could have gotten. This is not to secong guess the coaches at all.In my opinion winning is an attitude first and foremost but football is also a game of strategy and making the other guy throw his hand in first.I am not trying to down the coaches but we do criticize every commander in chief we've evr had.Can we not criticize high school coaches for the good? QBSDAD,you have an opportunity to watch game film.When you do let me know if #12 could not have fielded the last punt.Anyway,this is hopefully my last post on this very disheartening subject .I didn't feel what the kids felt after the game but I did hurt with them nontheless.BY THE WAY,I DID TRY AND CONSOLE #11 WHEN THE KIDS CAME OFF THE FIELD AND HEADING TOWARDS THE LOCKER ROOM.HE SAT ON A LITTLE HILL RIGHT OUTSIDE OF IT AND I TAPPED HIM ON HIS HELMET AND TOLD HIM GREAT GAME. HE DIDN'T LOOK UP SO I KNEW HE WANTED TO BE LFET ALONE SO I JUST WALKED AWAY . I LOVE THESE KIDS ALSO.OBVIOUSLY I DON'T NEED TO SAY THAT ABOUT #12 . BUT I LOVE THE REST OF THE KIDS TOO. I WNAT NOTHING LESS THAN TO SEE THEM PUT THE FULL PACKAGE TOGETHER.LOOK AT THE STATS.THEIR DEFENSE HAS BEEN EXTREMELY STINGY WITH POINTS AGAINST EVERYBODY IN THE SECOND HALF.SOMEHOW WE HAVE GOT TO HAVE THEM READY TO PLAY IN THE FIRST HALF . I'LL SAY IT NOW WITH NO SHAME,THERE IS NO TELLING HOW FAR THEY COULD GO IF THEY PLAYED DEFENSE THEY WAY THEY PLAYED AGAINST MOEAST IN THE 4TH QUARTER.ALL HEART !!!

QBSDAD,as you well know,like you I am a heck of a lot more than a bleacher coach to #12.I want what's best for these kids .Perhaps a change of venue for #12 will certainly end my and our attachment to the Carter program.I don't teach my kids to accept losing.Ever.Nor complacency.#11 HAS TWO MORE YEARS AFTER THIS ONE FOR TYHE COACHES TO GET IT RIGHT.#12 HAS ONLY NEXT YEAR.Maybe our philosphies about winning are too different.The kids go on the field to win .We snatched failure out of the mouth of success.We sure as heck second guess the President's decision to do this our that but we are afraid of voicing our opinion to a football coach who made an awful.I stand by my opinion.Just so you know QBSDAD,I always enjoy your positive tone for this program that is trying to turn the corner and I think #11 can have a bright future make no mistake.I want #12 to bea able to experience some level of success in Football because that's what he wants.Accepting 5-5 just because you might go to the playoffs is not the memory he is working for I assure you. #12 is still playing football in Tennessee because he is a very loyal kid with good values,respects other peoples feelings,likes to finish what he starts.I live in Atlanta where the high school football is great as well.To have him here with me for his senior year would be a dream.To think,I might be able to make the game before kickoff.I stand by my decision.#11 WOULD HAVE SURELY HAD THE BALL IN HIS HANDS IN A MUCH BETTER POSITION WITH THE GAME TIED AND ONE TIMEOUT LEFT.

Dilweed, I make a major difference in the life of one of the Carter players that's for sure.As a matter of fact, I've been making a difference in his life since he was born in 1987.Maybe you should keep your mouth shut.Why are you guys so scared to say blue is blue or red is red.I come from the school of standing up to decisions and being able to say I ###### up.When I make mistakes with my children I never hold back from admitting it.Your father evidently sweep it all under the rug and never made a mistake.I will never teach my kids to pretend they didn't make a mistake when they have.Dilweed with that philosophy in hand,I can see the type of men you will produce.

Borelly I wished Carter could play with that street toughness that you spoke of.Someone very close to me plays for the Hornets.In my opinion,if they played with more attitude,they would be a much better team.Football is a Gladiator sport and must be played that way.My exbrother in law was a starting lineman for one of the Road runner state championship teams when Leroy Thompson was just a sophomore.I always enjoyed going to see them play.Good luck the rest of the way.

He is certainly capable of 150+ but two point conversions are high risk plays to begin with.Now you want to blame the back because he was put into a no win situation.The object of calling play is to create imbalance for the defense or mismatches with perhaps one or two men to beat.When the play gets blown up from the onset can you blame the back or the play selection.I say kick the PAT and let your Deefense get you the rock back.

QBSDAD,iT WAS TIME TO START walking the walk last Friday and the kids were ready to seal the deal.I truly understand your positon to be positve here but let's face it, the coaches or coach broke these kids hearts with that TWILIGHT ZONE type decison.The bottom line is the kids have put it on the line already.They need everyone else to join them.The kids get absolutley no blame for that loss on Friday and the coaches or coach should step up or the coach who was ultimately responsible for the(GO FOR TWO)decision to stand up befor these kids and say I made a mistake.I looked them in their eyes right after the game.They did not agree with the decision.They are too respectful too say it in public they are certainly saying it amongst themselves I'm sure. We can not sweep this under the rug QBSDAD.Did you not notice that the game against MOEAST was the crossroads!!! It was not a district game but it was a confidence game.The kind of game that says to the world.we are a good football team and we can beat good football teams.If you guys are content to go 5-5 and just focus on district games then there is obviously a mentality of complacency that is deeprooted in the Hornet program that needs to be exterminated soon.Who gives a ###### if this is a district game or not.The kids put their butts on the line each week to win every one of them.The chance to go 7-3 was a major deal for this program.6-4 is not guaranteed nor is 5-5 at this point.You don't take unnecessary risks when you don't have to.Bottom line,that's what took place.Whover made that decision obviously is hungry for praise or something.Wants to be a hero.Let the kids make the plays.It is the coaches job to teach technique and come up with a good scheme during the week and then let the kids make plays on Fridays and keep them motivated.There are games left,sure.They are not guaranteed.Are you telling me that because this was not a district game that you take more risks is possibly losing it because of that.QBSDAD,i TRULY HOPE YOU ARE NOT TELLING ME THAT.Two poni conversions are converted at about a 20% clip.The kicker was two for two Friday night.Why sell him short on something that he was perfect on Friday.Why sell the defense short?Let the kids make plays on the field.Stop treating them like babies.THEY ARE READY TO GROW UP ON THE FIELD AND SHOW THE WORLD THEIR TALENT.I SAW THEM KEEP MOEAST OUT OF THE ENDZONE TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME WHEN THEIR BACKS WERE AGAINST THE WALL IN THE REDZONE !!!! You just score dwith 2:57 left in the 4th and you have one timeout left and your defense has had their backs to the wall in the redzone the entire quarter and give up zero points.The momentum had clearly shifted.What on GOD'S GREEN EARTH SHOWS THAT CARTER WERE NOT READY TO WIN THE GAME.dID WE NOT GET THE BALL BACK?It would have been alot more relaxed with 1 timeout and the game tied.The game was not played to win by going for two.It was retarded.Period !!!
