  1. Boyd is a darn good team, and they are physical. Just not good enough for Ezell, but they may make it to the finals.
  2. I don't see mich football outside of the city of Chatt. but I know around here Potter and Turner are the top dogs. Bibee has something going at Baylor, but he is a couple years away from being really good. Potter may be in a division with only 7 teams, but he has continually had success against teams outside the region, also Turner knows how to get his guys ready, even in years where he doesn't have a lot of talent Tyner comes to play. You aren't going to find any better motivators than Potter and Turner.
  3. I don't know much about Lincoln County. Are you guys good this year? Any of you going to the game? We like to run the ball a lot, but three of our running backs are out of the game with injuries, most of our backs are B-teamers. I hope we can pull it out, but best of luck to Lincoln County as well. Let's hope no one else gets hurt.
  4. McCallie, BA, MUS, CBHS, and Baylor have clinched playoff spots. MBA is in with a win over Ryan or a win over McCallie. Ryan must defeat both MBA and BA to qualify for the playoffs. McCallie will recieve the #1 seed with a win over MBA, and a loss to CBHS and MUS both. BA will recieve the #1 seed with a win over Ryan and a McCallie loss to MBA. MUS will recieve the number one seed with a win over CBHS and a BA loss to Ryan. CBHS will recieve the #1 seed with wins in their remaining games and a BA loss to Ryan. Baylor cannot receive the number one seed. If McCallie, MUS, and BA win their remaining games, the tiebreaker goes as follows. (a) Team with the most victories (BA, Mc have 8, MUS has 7) MUS eliminated McCallie then wins the head to head battle with BA. Therefore, McCallie would get #1 seed. If McCallie, BA, and CBHS win their remaining games the tiebreaker goes as follows. (a) Team with most victories (All have 8) ( Team with most victories over teams who have won 50 percent of their games (BA -5 or 6, Mc -3 or 4, CB -4 or 5) BA wins over CBHS in the tiebreaker and recieves #1 seed.
  5. 1. Tyner 2. Tyner 3. Tyner 4. Tyner 5. Tyner 6. Tyner's B team 7. Tyner's freshman team 8. Goodpasture 9. Sweetwater 10. Polk County
  6. I think MBA beats Ryan, Baylor beats CBHS, BA beats Ryan, McCallie beats MBA, CBHS beats MUS. That leaves McCallie and BA with one loss each as the #1 and #2 seeds in the playoffs.
  7. Ok, all D2 3A fans what are your opinions on the last two weeks? 5 teams have one region loss, and Baylor and Ryan have two region losses. How do you think things will shape up with these games? 10/25 MBA vs. Ryan Baylor at CBHS 11/1 Ryan at BA MUS vs. CBHS McCallie at MBA BTW, what are the tiebreakers if two or more teams finish with one loss. I know that the #1 and #2 seed will get to host a playoff game in the semifinals.
  8. I am not sure if UTC tried to recruit Keppy, but it seemed all along he wanted to go to Furman or Gardner Webb.
  9. 1. Tyner - will win state easily 2. McCallie - will be state runner ups 3. Ooltewah - good chance at winning state 4. Cleveland - outside chance at state 5. Hixson - outside chance at state 6. Boyd Buchanan - If not for Ezell, Bucs would win it all 7. Baylor - can't win state because of BA and McCallie 8. Soddy Daisy 9. East Ridge 10. Rhea County
  10. I don't know how different these teams are from last year, but I saw them both play last year and Maryville would've killed them. But this year I still say Maryville by 20.
  11. I understand your point about the Baylor game, but you can't deny these numbers BA over MUS 42-10 MUS over McCallie 39-17 I hope our guys can step up and we still have talent with Moore, Johnson, Shanks, Remillard, and Brock, but Friday's result is still a little disheartening. Maybe our guys just got overconfident since we go out there and beat them every year. Potter won't let it happen again. If we lose another game this year, it's sure as heck gonna be a close one.
  12. A- Ezell over Boyd AA - TYNER (they beat everyone in playoffs by at least 14 pts.) These guys are good. AAA - I dont know much about 3A AAAA - Maryville over Overton AAAAA - Ooltewah over Germantown IIA - Bishop Byrne IIAA - BGA IIAAA - I hate to say it but BA over McCallie.

    BA FOOTBALL

We have won 4 of the last five right now, and it feels great to be able to say that and its great to look back on those wins, BUT right now we have our three best players injured (Fullam, Brooks, and Shanks) BA is playing their best football after killing Baylor, and we just got taught a lesson by MUS to the tune of 39-17. So I am not focusing on those 4 outta 5. I am concerned about Lincoln County, then MBA, then if we're fortunate enough, the playoffs. The Bottom Line is I have a lot of respect for BA, MBA, Baylor, MUS and all the other schools. This year I will admit, BA played horrible against us. They were undisciplined and committed way too many turnovers and penalties. I know that THIS year BA is better than us. I know that throughout their history BA has been better than us. I already know that, and I don't need it pointed out to me by some crazy supposed BA fan. GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN PLAYOFFS! GO MCCALLIE!
  14. I didn't hear about the injury to Fullam. That kills our season. We just have to rebuild for next year. We're no match for BA in the playoffs. Seeing as how BA thrashed Baylor who we barely beat and BA thrashed MUS, we are in a lot of trouble come playoff time. How does this set up the seeds for the playoffs now? BA, MUS, and McCallie have one region loss Baylor has two losses in region Any thoughts?
  15. The Times Free Press had a reporter at the game, I don't know if the Tennessean did. The Tennessean probably found out McCallie won from an unreliable source. Times Free Press has a writeup today about how MUS killed McCallie in the first half and McCallie scored their 17 points late to make it a little closer. That is a shocker. I'll have to talk to some of my friends on the Football Team and find out if that is true. I never would have believed we would lose that badly to MUS. BA beat MUS like 42-10, and we beat BA, but I guess that's how HS football goes. MCCALLIE IS NOT INVINCIBLE! Now we might lose our #1 seed in the playoffs which would have been really nice to have.
  16. Wes, McCallie has beaten Baylor by an average of 26 pts the last four years. There have been years where Baylor was undefeated going in and years where Baylor was favored going in. There is always hype around Baylor, but until they beat McCallie they have no respect from me. For some reason, Coach Potter just knows how to beat Baylor. I've got McCALLIE 38, BAYLOR 13
  17. OK, everyone in the Chattanooga area and all D2 fans, lets hear the predictions for the big game. I've got McCallie 28-10.
  18. 1. Tyner - beat McCallie even if it was a fluke. 2. McCallie - 55 to 0 a statement game against Notre Dame. 3. Baylor - can't be ranked ahead of McCallie until they beat them. 4. Ooltewah - Foster is the real deal. 5. Boyd - Healy will lead the city in passing.
  19. I was proud of our defense last night. Shanks, Brooks, McLaughlin, Rudolph, and Murphy were flying to the ball like madmen and putting some hits on their guys. I didn't see the kind of missed tackles I saw against Tyner. Fullam was great in the open field as usual, and Chris Johnson looked good at FB. Corey Remillard showed great hands and McCallie should have a great passing attack this year if he keeps that up.
  20. Thanks for the updates. Where were you getting the scores from, if you dont mind me asking?
