if aint broke dont fix it. 5a yes they might be considered the best, but year in and year out I would put Maryville, Austin East, and Fulton up against any 5a school, I am not saying every year, but in a 5 year span, I would bet 2-3 of the championships would go to one of these 3 teams.... It could bew worse we could be like bigger states like Georgia, Fla, etc and have upto 6A, and they are thinking of going to 7A

I went and watched Carter play, and I wanted to see Mitch, and right now the team is learning alot of things. they are learning a new system, along with learning basic skills that should of been taught a long time ago. Carter has tons of athletic ability, but turnovers have been their worst nightmare. I look for it to be a good game, and I hope Carter can pull off the upset, but we will just have to see.

I am from around CLinton, and I have a great insight of what goes on there, so I do have fact that I can state about your point. And you will never find a point on Lockard being a racist... Becasue he isnt... You are probably one of those parents in the community who ran Catlett out of town, becasue they werent playing your little johnny, even though he wasnt any good...

TO say Jamont is the best player in the nation is rediculous. He might be the best player in the state, but thats it. I went to Cali to see my boy, and I went to that ball game of the school he works at, and they had 2 different players that could run circles around Jamont. i am not bashing Jamont, cause these kids are that good, but when I asked by boy how good they were he said they werent even top 5 in their area. I have seen Jamont play also, and yes he has an all around game, but he is not near the best in the nation..

Yes this is what you can expect. I havent been around as long as you, but I can remember when Troy Thackerson played, he didnt even get to play his senior year, because he was too old from failing too many classes, Scotty Whitt- one of the best athletes I have ever seen, and anyone who as seen him knows that is true. I heard he has done time in prison Now. Then there were others, but the biggest disappointment was Jermaine Shephard, I remember when this kid almost dunked on us when he was in the 7th grade, and he was only 5'7. I heard he had a double scholarship to some big D-1 school, what happened to all of these guys, they didnt have to do anything in high school, and could not get into college. CLinton has zero discipline., they always have thes best talent around, and even Oak Ridge would agrre with that, but if you have ZERO discipline then it doesnt matter. Just look what happend to Coach Catlett in football, he tryed to have discipline, and the town wouldnt support him, because he wouldnt listen to them, and he was a Great Coach.. CLinton has never had great coaches just great talent, and absoulutely NO discipline. The only decent Player/ Scholar was Dedrick Dye, and that was becasue he disciplined his self. He was a valedvistorian, and jsut graduated from Wagner College. The only discipline clinton athletics will have is if the kids discipline themselves

I am an LC fan, with all respect to Anderson Co, they did play Oliver Springs at their place, and we all know what happens with the officiateing at their place. ALso OS court is about 10 ft shorter then everyone elses, so it makes it harder to fast break. AC is still the best team in the district, but we will find out if my boys from LC will prove that wrong this week....

Who are they, do they even have a basketball team... Also, to say you own LC, LC cant help it that AC is made of the I-75 All Stars.

I am not sure of his name, but he is a sophomore from Anderson Co, I saw him make a player from Loudon last year fall down on a quick crossover, it was funny and amazing. THis kid has handles, but is short, so you never know what will happen.

LC 2-2, 1-0 in district play AC 2-1, 0-0 Loudon 0-2, 0-0 Kingston 3-2, 1-0 Oliver Springs 2-3, 0-1 Scott Co ???, 0-1 AC lost one by surprise, LC beat a good Sequoyah team and OS, lost 2 in a very tough Greeneville Turkey TOurnament, Kingston got slaughtered by Maryville, and barely beat a terrible Wales team, Scott lost to Kingston, Loudon well their young and played AE closer then most would of thought. Oliver Springs lost to LC, lost to a mediocre Harriman team, and beat 2 cupcakes over the turkey holliday, and got slaughtered by a talented Catholic team...

Well, you must not of seen LC play much this year. They are not overrated, becasue no one is picking them to win the district. But what you said about their defense is totally incorrect. LC always has a great Defense, you can look at their opponents score and see that, also you can look at years past and they never give up many points. This team may not be the most physical, but they have tons of heart, and are having fun playing ball. Right now the only teams that can beat LC are AC, and maybe Kingston. The only other team that will be beating them is theirselves. They are their own worst enemy. If they get over the turnover bug then they will do good things in the district. For the rebounding, it is better this year then any since Sam Graham was there. Bryce has 12 and 15 the last two game, and Rhodus has been averaging around 6 or 7, plus others. SO your statement about the rebounding again is quite false. You might want to check some stats before commenting. Defense wise, they held Sequoyah to 22 through 3 quarters, until Sequoyah scored 30 in the 4th on the subs. They held a very talented Greeneville team to 57, they held SOuth green to 57, and held Oliver Springs to 46, That isnt exactly bad defense there pal. I guess it doesnt pay to be uneducated does it littledog.

I saw the score of the game, and was quite surprised to see that it was so close, especially at Lenoir City.. What happened with Panthers, did you all come out flat or what. Did Oliver Springs play over their head. It just seems like the score was a little disappointing, but it was the first district game, and you all are undefeated in the district so far (1-0) Also, BM keep shooting, it looks like you are struggling, but you have played ball long enough that you know how to shoot, so quit thinking about it and shoot the rock...

I dont really care about all of the bad mouthing, but I have seen both teams play. I could careless who wins, but it boils down to Bearden being better coached then Farragut. Farragut has more talent then Bearden, but they run wild and fire way too many threes. With the talent Farragut has they should have an even attack and they dont. Bearden, has the next best coach to Jody Wright in Knoxville. The team is slightly less talented then Farragut, but the coaching will win this one for them. I feel Bearden will win a close one, but if Farragut gets hot at the arch and they shoot their normal 25 threes a game then they will beat Bearden... But all said good luck to both teams, and keep you rivalry alive...

We have heard from some teams, but what about Loudon and Kingston. YOu all must not of shown much promise this past week or you all would be on here talking smack like usual...

LC has way more depth then Scott Co does, but when LC travels that far they tend to take a little while to get going, ans Scott Co will have to jump on them early, b/c if LC gets a lead then there is no looking back. LC feeds off of spurts and if Scott wants to have a chance then they will have stop LC's scoring spurts. But when all is said an done LC will win by 10+.

I dont know anything about this Jamont kid, but all i hear is what he scores every night. I would like some more info about how he is defense wise, and attitude wise. You can score 40 a game, but if your attitude is bad and you dont play defense then it doesnt matter. I am not saying Jamont is either of these things, I would just like to find out...

If you want to talk about Casey, then why isnt he a captain his senior year and 2 juniors are captains over him. That says alot about someones character when they are a 4 year starter at QB and arent the captain... For the house that the Clausdens bought it was for when they come into town. They love it here in knoxville, and they plan to move as soon as the youngest is through high school. Sorry Maryville you wont be getting a Clausden, like you all would need him anyway.

Its early in the season, so my guess both teams have need for improvement. LC has several seniors on the team, and with their leadership this year, they can be a tough team to beat. Also, Scott doesnt have a big man that can stop LC's attack. LC is bigger this year then usual, but Scott is athletic. Also, is it true that Jefers isnt playing for Scott this year, that was a rumor going around and I hope it isnt true, becasue he is a great athlete....

How did LC and everyone else in the district fair over the thanksgiving break. And I saw stats for the LC/ Greeneville game, did Bryce Cusick play, get hurt, or what. I just saw he had only 1 rebound and nothing else, so i figured something was wrong...
