My fault, I thought the game was last night since you all were already talking about it. This will still be a good game, and it will be pretty much a toss up on who will win. If OS has a balanced attack then they will win. If they rely on 2nd half 3's which they have in games before then they will lose, bc Scott hass too much quikness on the perimeter.. Scott will win this one though...

Scott should win this one. THey are playing good ball, just as long as they dont have a big head after the big upset last night...

Ask the best defensive coach around JODY WRIGHT about a 2-3. YOu might see it once in a blue moon. The 2-3 is a defense that Syracuse last year brought back with a vengeance, but High School athletes are not athletic enough to run the 2-3. YOu must be tall, block shots, and be quick to perfectly run a 2-3. If not the teams like AC will dump all over you. The difference between AC hitting thress and other teams, is other teams have 2-3 three point shooters. AC has 8, thats right 8, and doubt all 8 will have a off night the same night. So you better get your butt down and play some good hardnosed Man to Man.

If you give AC the inside they will kill you. They generate their 3's by penetrateing to the basket, then kicking out when the other team collapses. They look to go to the rack 1st, so if you give them the inside you will get burned, the best thing to do is play man to man, and dont collapse on Lowery when he penetrates. Also, you have to step up and take charges against Lowery, but you cant wait until underneath the basket, you have to get him around 5 feet away from the basket to draw the charge. Do this, and you might only lose by 10, not 30.

Scott will be lucky to score 6 in the first quarter. AC is hitting on all cylinders right now, and they will not be beatable unless they shoot themselves in the foot, and Coach E wont let that happen. This one is no contest AC by 15+, no disrespect to Scott, AC is just that good..

Also, who won the Scott Co- Loudon game. I couldnt find either score anywhere...

I would also include Justin Sitzler to the list from Kingston. He is an excellent all around player. He averages about 17 ppg, 7 reb, 2-3 assist, 1-2 steals a game. No matter who tires to double team him he still plays upto his potential.

These two players are a very good back court, if they could put a couple more people to compliment them the Rutledge will be hard to beat... Also, I like Anderson County- Lowery, Chaniott, Mott, each one brings something different to the table, they are not a duo, but they make up a good trio Lenoir City- Lombardo and Dorsett- a great tandum, if they learn to chanel their connection with the rest of the team, then they could cause problems in the district. South Doyle- Tate and Logan- I know Logan plays the 3, but he can play anywhere on the court... There are others, I just wanted to list the ones no one would mention..

I like JP Prince he seems to be a great player. For Tyler Smith with some improvement on his shooting mechanincs and a change of motivational attittude then he would be my top pick, but he doesnt seem like he comes to play each night and in this game anyone can win on any given night....

Fox is a good ball player, he is not very passive, but that is Coach Hutchens decision to let him shoot so much. Gibson is also an excellent ball player. Gibson is way more precise from behind the 3 point line and that is what matters most, not who hits the most. At under 40% Fox is right where an average 3 point shooter will be in college, and that is it. 44% and above is where the top 3 point shooters should be. Both are great ball players and both teams should be happy they have them, so quit acting like a bunch of brats and talk intelligently...

Pay attention when you goto a high school game. A team cannot wait more then 25 seconds to shoot the ball, because they do not have the discipline to do it. The only time a shot clock will be a factor is if: The ball keeps getting deflected and time runs out. also...Or at the end of a game when a team tries to sit on the ball, Also, This will cut down of people waiting to take the last shot with a 1:30 to go in the first quarter and for this reason we do need a shot clock. All other times it wont even come into play.

I wouldnt say AC doesnt have a snowballs chance. They split with the top team Alcoa in the other district. AE is down this year, but still probably the toughest team, and Fulton is down this year. Gibbs is actually up this year. With the 2 sets of twins playing good ball, then they could have a chance of an upset in the first round of the district, which would keep one of the other 3 power houses out of the running... Sounds like LC played well last night, and they actually hit their free throws, something that would of helped them when they played Loudon last week, when they hit less the then 60%. Kingston lost to Harriman las night which really surprises me b/c they just arent any good, I guess everyone can have an off night, but Kingston better not let it happen on Friday..

The coaches that let that happen are looking for a new job every few years. THe ones that dont are still coaching. ALso, kids have gotten more disrespectful, b/c mommy and daddy wont discipline so when the coach tries they wont listen. More times then not the problems come from poor parenting. THe kids with good parenting listen and are respectful.

Here we go down the stretch and teams are starting to lay the frame work for the district tourney. Anderson County- Looking stronger and stronger, Can anyone beat this team, Maybe, but not until the region... Kingston- The second best team in the district, but lack of a guard to compliment Poole and Sitzler will hurt them when it comes to beating AC... Loudon- My pick for the 3rd place. They are a team that has improved greatly as the year has gone. Young players are starting to come around and they are winning games. Oliver Springs- The biggest surprise of the season. No one thought they would when a game, including myself. But they have turned out to be a good team, that hits key shots in the second half to put teams away. Lenoir City- Probably the biggest disappointment to me. I really thought they would put it together this year, they just havent seemed to play like I expected. All they need is a killer instinct come tourney time and they will raise some havoc in the District Tourney. Also, they better enjoy their last year in AA, because it will be even tougher next year. Scott Co- A team that has done as much as expected. They have some excellent athletes, but really would of benefited from a big man under neath.... These comments are from what I have seen, and what I have heard, so feel free to give any input to this thread.... It would be nice to here from somebody out in the district...

These two teams are getting better as the year goes, they look like they will be fighting for 3rd and 4th in the district, with LC slipping away. I look to see Loudon win this one, they are playing better each night and they will come out with a win.

OS is an improving team, they dont have the best talent in the world but they listen and play team ball... And that is why they will soon be the 3rd ranked team in their district, and that is behind a great AC team and a good Kingston team.

TSSAA has a rule about artificial noise makers, that includes megaphones by the students. If you want to use one then join the cheerleading team.... Also, Jacket05 where was your boy Foley at last night, you said he was one of the best ball handlers in the district and like everyone knew he is the worst. Yea thats right the worst in the district.... And the excuse about the refs, eveytime you lose you blame the refs, give it a break you lost. Plus Kingston always has the 2nd most home town officiating, next to OS of course.. Congrats to AC, I think you will have a good chance at getting past the region this year...

Loudon says they are the best team around and they arent even the declared best team in their county. They split to Lenoir City. So I guess that would make LC tied for the best team around. I DONT THINK SO... LC is a above average Freshman team and they ran all over Loudon in their first meeting. Loudon always wants to run their mouth but their intelligence always makes for a good chuckle. Atleast Loudon will be OK next year on varsity, Becasue Anderson Co, and LC will move up to AAA.

Even though my favorite coach around Jody Wright would not be on the list this year. I would say Alcoa's coach, I cant recall his name, but I now he is Marsh's kin. Also, Coach Eldridge would be up there, doing a lot with probably the smallest team in AA, Some girls teams have more size in the post then they do. South Doyles coach would be up there, even though he is blessed with great talent. My worst coach would be Farraguts. He has the best talent in east TN and he still struggles, even though not like years past, but still Farragut should be undefeated and they are doing nothing but sliding off the top of the hill..

Bench warmers are there for a reason. It is not upto the coach to give them a shot. It is up to the player to get his self off the bench.. It doesnt matter what a teams record is. The players that earn it should play. High school isnt the pros, so you are not trying to build a dynasty. Coaches are jsut trying to get from season to season and tournament to tournament....

Hey you with the 39 gpa. what is chosing? Choosing maybe? What about will be wiser? Do you mean more wise? I guess my technology English class paid off better then your Honors English. Isn't there a cheerleading website you can goto? We all really don't mind if you don't post on here anymore. By the way I dont have a favorite high school team. There atleast I answered something realitive to the topic.

This will be a preview of the district championship game this year. AC will win this one since it is that their place and Kingston will win the one at their place. AC and Kingston have different types of teams. AC has no inside presence and Kingston has no backcourt. So it should make for a interesting game. The key to beating Kingston is stopping Poole, he is the player that can hurt you most. Sitsler will get his 20 points, but if you can keep Poole from getting his it will be tough for Kingston. Key to stopping AC will be stopping the penetration then kick outs. As soon as you collapse on Lowery he will kick out for a 3 by Mott, Chaniott, Humphrey. As soon as you dont collapse Lowery will put the ball in the hoop or draw the foul. Also you will have to get through their very difficult press. This can be crucial to a poor back court for Kingston. But if you get past these things you can usually beat AC, but it is easier said then done. For Eldridge is the best coach in the district and he will have his boys ready to execute. AC by 5 in the first meeting, and Kingston will win the second one..

College coaches dont care if the kid can hit an outside jumper. They can teach Tyler to shoot the ball, heck look at L. James he couldnt shoot either. What coaches cant coach is size and athletic ability. And, Tyler Smith has both of those things. I would be more concerned with his attitude then his jumper. He needs to improve on getting up for every game. Even the chump teams... That is his only downfall right now. The jumper will be taught in college. Almost every player that goes to collge has their shot changed by their coach, and he will be no different... Goodluck to Tyler...
