  1. Even as just a fan and a manager, its hard not to miss something that you have been around so much and has been such a large part of your life for the past four years. I have been fortunate enough to attend every home game, during those four years, and every game this season, including Disney that was a blast. And I would not trade one second of that for anything in the world. Being there and being a manager has given me the opportunity to get to know the younger guys, and that’s why I know that Volunteer’s team has some great seasons ahead of them. They really are just a great bunch of guys...gentlemen I should say, because they have always shown a lot of class toward me. But most importantly they have heart and a real love for the game. I hate to have such a long post, but anybody who knows me knows most of the time I have a lot to say (probably too much). I’ll try to keep things short as possible, but I have to acknowledge and address some people that are very important to me. Coach Whalen, Mr. Southam, Ron R., Mrs. Whittemore, her parents, and Jackson, Mrs. Frazier and her lovely son STEVE, just to name a few of the falcon faithful, oh plus Bart and Brent - It’s been a pleasure getting to know you all over the years, or overcoming my fears of some (Larry). Coach Reed and Coach Smith - Thank you, you have both helped me in different ways. And thanks for just putting up with me. I really think a lot of both of you (a lot more than what I think of Algebra II). Coach Stokley - I wish I could have gotten to know you better before this year. Thanks for always going out of your way to acknowledge me, it really means a lot.(Even if it is by throwing a bow, watch out next fall I’m going to be buff, then it’s on!) My Boy, “BIG AL” - Well, I guess I probably don’t need to say much because you’ve already heard what I can say of how I feel. Gezz...so many memories. Thank you Alex, for everything and just your friendship. No matter how much you try to argue with me and no matter how many times I win, you’ll always be my boy. Last and anything but least. Coach Whittemore - How can I even begin to express the amount of gratitude that I have for you. You probably don’t think much of some of the things that you’ve done for me, and those are probably the things that have meant the most. You know how I am with words...and questions...hey, I’m working on it, but anyway all I can think to say is Thank You. I’m not sure where I’ll be next year or how much I’ll be around. But I promise I’ll always be cheering for your team, because I know they’ll have one heck of a coach. It's been great and I couldn't be any prouder of the Falcons. These have been, by far, my best high school memories. ~Good Luck to all the future falcon teams and coaches~ - Danielle J. Alley ~Class of 2005~
  2. Hey Arty, Do you have Schizophrenia? Because your commments are like two different individuals from Volunteer's thread to this thread. But, I will say thank you for keeping your true personality on this thread, that is dedicated to you, and not tainting our thread.
  3. Not only did they have a starter out, but also the man behind him.
  4. terolico, You make comments about our head coach and our coaching staff, addressing his personality and even his coaching strategies. And you claim to be a coach yourself? What kind of coach are to go talk about fellow coaches and even players in the way that you did, publicly? That shows a lot of class and respect. Oh, but thanks for wishing Volunteer Good Luck....................after saying they wouldn't win again this season.
  5. Thanks, Redalert. Let's get some momentum for the tournament by gettting a big win @ Unaka on Tuesday. ~*~ GO FALCONS~*~
  6. Tonight - Hampton Tomorrow - @ Elizabethton Friday - Sullivan Central Next Tuesday - non-conference - @ Unaka
  7. The Rogersville Review was referring to the Sullivan North game, where Ron Barnett was an official. I was referring to the Unicoi County game, where Ron Barnett was NOT an official. ~*~ GOOD LUCK FALCONS vs JOHNSON COUNTY~*~
  8. Tough game on Tuesday, but how about those officials? I'd love to see that crew at every game. ~!~GOOD LUCK FALCONS vs SULLIVAN SOUTH~!~
  9. This is exactly the reason why our last thread got locked. I guess there are alot of A.D.D. CoachT users, that can't stay on topic. Let's get back to Falcon Basketball. HUGE conference game on Tuesday AT Sullivan Central. Play Hard. Play Smart. ~*~ GOOD LUCK FALCONS ~*~
  10. DP96, I wasn't trying to argue, I know you were there. I was just clarifying it for the people who were not there, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings. Which on our threads occur very easily. JLB, I could not agree more. WacoJaco, Thanks for the shirt!!! I really appreciate it. Good Luck to your team this season......(whoever it is..... )
  11. Jacob and Jay did play at Jamboree versus Sullivan North; however, they did not start.
  12. Can somebody tell me when the slam dunk contest is, and if it's worth me making the trip to watch.
  13. Chucky was a great player and he was a star, BUT this team is not about A STAR or THE STAR it is about THE TEAM. Volunteer is 7-4, and on a 5 game winning streak. Better to have loses at the beginning rather than the end. I think in those loses they were learning and the young were gaining experience, and now the Falcons are going to be hard to stop. How can you say that they aren't that great this year? And why are you questioning picking them ahead of the pack? Considering that the Falcons have only played in one conference game, that was very, very close, were playing without one senior starter, was at the opponents house, and was versus the team who most are picking to finish first. But no excuses it's just to early conference-wise to tell.
