QueenBee: I usually don't have much to say about anything you post at all. You seem fair about all your post. But maybe I took this comment wrong, and I apologize if I did. But the comment you made, as seen above, sort of stuck me wrong. See, I was raised in KY and went to school in Monroe Co. and the statement you made really stigmatizes KY. Not everyone in KY or TN act disrespectful. I can say that alot of these kids in schools now, DO NOT act like we did when we were brought up. Thank your Mommas & Daddies for the way we were raised. But the people in Portland, did not get their "bad sportmanship" from being located near KY. I doubt KY has that much influence on that. I personally have not witness P-town acting that way. But I can bet you one thing, they are not the only teams that have shown this and sadly it will still continue. As parents, you try to raise you kids right...But nowadays, some kids just don't have the respect, I guess we did. As for Coaches & fans (adults) acting this way. All I can say is they know better. Some of you may have heard this song...I think alot of adults men & women need to hear it. It is called "Walk A Little Straighter Daddy".. Kids follow our lead. Don't lead them down a road, they never need to walk!

Atkins... if you want to add a photo or something like that. You can click to your control panel at the top of the page on the right called "MY CONTROLS" Once there you go to edit signature on the left hand column. Once there to add a picture to the end of your post you click on IMG. A box will pop up and there you will enter the domain (www. ) for the picture to come from. Make sure to apply your settings. Hope this helps you.

bigB76... I know what you mean, by halftime I felt so bad for those little fellers. They tried so hard. I almost stood up and cheered for them, when they made the touchdown. I was so happy they finally scored. They do have some hard hitting boys on the team. They smacked helmets like rams a couple of times. TC 49 CC 7

Here is the deal....The Macon County High School football team has a good year EVERY year too.. And before you all start being "Doubting Thomas's" hear me out why I believe this..... We have kids out there playing their hearts out year after year. While we have not established the awards, region champs or State Champ status, but every kid out there deserves every "Proud" word we mutter. This does not mean your kids, on your respective team doesn't deserve it any less either Yeah some us on here (from Macon) like talking smack about the games, but when it gets down to it, we don't mean anything bad to any of the kids. I respect them for getting out there, working their tails off, whether it be as a player, cheerleader, or band member. You know, the ones we talk to most are people from, Smith, Trousdale & Portland. You guys have all been up there when it comes to winning. Maybe we haven't had winning seasons in the past, but we may can do it this year. Now some people on here, (and you know who you are) continuously have to be rude, condensing and can not ever have a good word to say about any of the teams. That really gets old. I am not sure if that is the way they are in life or just in this forum. And I am sorry that I step all over this Jackson Vs Smith (old thread), to post my views, but that is where it was brought to light.

Let me give you some stats to date. So far 55 post have been posted. 21 are from Macon Co. folks (for the most part countering comments) 34 are from everyone else in the region.(making comments or light hearted jest) Hey Muffie, who is getting windy now, "tooting their horn"? Can I hear ya Growl? Grrrrrrrrr

Well, since we are playing at Jackson Co. maybe they will have more support out there for them. I will not be able to make the game, prior commitment, but I'm sure there will be Tiger fans that will make the journey to Jackson Co.(Right MrsTigerfan) Good Luck to both teams.

Keep Focused Tigers... Antwan: I hate it that Jackson Co. hasn't done well this year. Did they have any fan support at the game,did their team seem pumped up still? Cannon Co. Fan support was minimal at the our game. May have been because of the drive. Their cheerleaders were "Vocal" though..I heard them very well across the field. The boys were hard hitting at times and tried to make some really good plays, but the CC QB just couldn't connect with his receivers. They did manage to pull off some good blocks on the field goal attempts at the last of the game. They forced a couple of turnovers, but we countered with the same. Equal on that part. I was proud of both teams for their effort. Good game Lions! And as always.......

Fanman... Hun..that sign stays there all year long. It says: "Welcome to Lafayette"... **SideNote- I am sure this isn't the sign you are talking about, and I have no idea what the sign said you saw. But don't get offended...If it was a "bad" sign, then chalk that up to a few ill natured people. That does not represent the feelings of most of the people here in Macon Co. Most signs whether it be "Welcome to the Jungle" or "Getcha Some" are done in a good natured, competitive way & are in no way meant to be offensive.

Such hard news to hear about anyone, but especially hard with such a young man. Please let Ryan & his family know that we are praying for his speedy recovery. God Bless Him & Make him well again. Prayers from Macon Co.

Of Course, I'm proud of where we are... But I give kudos to all the top teams. Smith Co. Congrats on your win. As to Trousdale, congrats to you also. Portland, sorry for the loss, but on a toss up...We're happy that happened to. No hard feelings though. And as for us representing the region...I will tell you one thing, whether it us (Macon Co.) or one of you guys...I hope you go on to be State Champs. I can honestly say, if we don't go, then I will be rooting for one of these teams because they will be from our region. If it is Macon Co., can you guys not give any words of encouragement. You've been there in recent years, we haven't. Can you blame us if we are happy and proud of such an accomplishment? Lastly...Good Luck to all the teams in the coming weeks.. Lets Go Boys....One of us will be there! Macon Co. Smith Co. Portland Trousdale Co.
