Are you kidding me? Have you seen who Oneida has played compared to who Sunbright has played? We lost by a total of 8 pts to a traditional powerhouse 3A & a very good 4A school w/a 3A Mr. Football finalist QB from last year who was the real deal & we have another good 3A school in 2 weeks. You beat N. Greene & Whitwell whipped your tails so where are you getting your basis for this drubbing we have in store for us "courtesy of Sunbright"? I think you better worry about Coalfield this week & you will get your shot @ Oneida soon enough but be careful what you wish for cuz you may bite off more than you can chew.

We have about 3 starters that are banged up & questionable for this game. I hope if they can't play that somebody steps up & fills their shoes but it could play a part in certain aspects of the game though especially the kicking game.

I hate to tell you but you might be a week early to the Loudon/Lenoir City game according to the schedules on here anyway. So you might be free that nite to come watch the game Oneida/GP game. It should be worth checking out.

Oneida beat Union Co 26-0. They looked pretty good overall. The jv pretty much played the 2nd quarter & scored twice.

Just for the record Brown isn't playing this year. I saw his name mentioned a couple of times on this thread already & he hasn't even practiced that I'm aware of & I've been to almost every practice. I don't know the specifics exactly but I think he has the same medical issue he had last year. I saw him up there one day & asked him if he was coming back & he said he couldn't. Thats's a shame that he doesn't get to play his senior year & also a very good LB that we won't have this year as well. Best of luck to him & hopefully whatever his medical problems are can be corrected. I'm going w/Oneida on this one also. You can see them improving almost daily in practice. I think the 1st two games will be very tough but I think we will be competitive regardless of the outcome. Good Luck to the Indians & to GP (after this game ) the rest of the year.

Yeah I have a son playing as a freshman this year & that's what he was telling me the other day. That should make for a little more excitement for the players as well.

Yes harley, GP & Oneida used to play on a regular basis. I have played in some of those games in the late 80's. It was always a good hard fought game on both sides. However, we always seemed to come up just a bit short on the winning side. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> I may be wrong but I can't recall if we have ever beaten GP. Who knows. Yeah i read that now. I've been hearing rumors past week or so that something was a little unsettled but I dont always put much in rumors although these were coming from a pretty reliable source. All of the coaches on the staff (w/the exception of Coach Buttram) coached/played @ Oneida b4 Coach Lambert came there to coach. As much as I am sure that they have respect & loyalty to him, I am sure that their true loyalties lie w/Oneida & will continue to work just as hard now as they did w/Coach Lambert. Once a new coach has been appointed, I expect that everybody will keep right on track & wish Coach Lambert the best of luck @ AC & move on w/Oneida football.

First off I want to say congratulations to my Injuns on a great season. You guys gave us a lot to cheer & be thankful for. I for one have been very proud of u guys all year & look forward to the season next year. You all have nothing to be ashamed of having finished one of the most impressive seasons in Oneida history. Good luck seniors in your future endeavors & underclassman get back in the weight room & work your butts off again & pick up where you left off this year & follow the leadership example your outgoing seniors left you. Next I want to congratulate a very good TC football team for a well played game. You are a very well coached disciplined team. I was very impressed w/your team & the amount of fans that follow you. You are very deserving of this win but i think you know for 2 weeks in a row that you been in a dog fight w/2 very worthy opponents. I hope you guys bring home the gold. You have this Injun's support next week. I was very glad to meet some of the fellow coach t posters last nite. I don't post a lot on here but i like to read what everybody's thoughts were on the game. I met Pujo, Grunt, Seven, Ole3putt & tcrailbird & it was a pleasure to talk w/u guys for a few min b4 the game. You all are a good bunch of guys. Ok I think we are pretty much on the same page bout most of this. I'm sure both teams are not overlooking anybody if they got this far & I bet they are focused on each other. I know we have fans that make us look bad too & they can give the whole school a black eye & it makes me mad to see anybody from Oneida act like that.

Oddly enough I'm not talking bout the team or coaches from TC. I haven't mentioned them one time. I'm talking bout some of the TC fans who choose to be so arrogant. However, there are also some very classy TC fans on here & from what I gather on here you would fall into that category. I have the utmost respect for TC or any other opponent & have always been taught to never overlook or disrespect any opponent no matter how confident you are. On the other hand I don't think we should be shaking in our boots like some people think. Both teams are well coached, disciplined very good football teams & the team that makes the fewest mistakes will prevail. That is the closest to a prediction I can make cause I don't know how it will all play out. Oneida is getting stronger & more impressive every game. I hardly think TC gonna put up 42 on our D. Greenback put up 13 legitimate points against us in 2 games & they have an outstanding offence. They had another TD off a very questionable fumble recovery that left them w/a short field & one off our reserves. So what are you basing this impressive offensive showing you're predicting on? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

Well there is a difference in stirring the pot (being arrogant) vs. belittling what the coaches are trying to instill in their players. My son will be moving up from the middle school to the high school next year & I personally can't wait for him to play on that team. Those coaches do a wonderful job in teaching their players P.C.C.

Obviously you & SOME of the other TC fans could take some lessons from TL on what P.C.C. Well TL told me himself that he was exchanging all 3 playoff films for all 3 of TC's playoff films yesterday

Your prediction doesn't sound like u believe it's gonna be all TC. 17-14 sounds like a game to me. I think this one will be like SP/TC game - too close to call.

Amen Sledge. I GUARANTEE that TL, the rest of the staff & players were focused on GB & nothing else till that game was over. I know TL & he is very humble & in no way that arrogant to be asking for game film when the business @ hand wasn't finished. But I bet that he has talked to Vic @ SP bout some film of last nite's game though.

It was 41 - 0 in the 2nd when TL called off the dogs & pulled the starters. Cloudland scored 18 in 2nd half against our reserves.

Dont get me wrong. the overall atmosphere & excitement was great. I had a wonderful time even though I was a little aggravated over the whole fence thing. However, I stood next to some people from GB & Alcoa who were really friendly & we talked throughout the game w/no animosity being for different teams. Some people know how to conduct themselves & some dont. Im sure we probably will have some unruly fans @ the game this fri. too but I hope they remember where they are from & that they reflect on the whole community & act responsibly. Im sorry someone from here was so rude to you. I hope we have an exciting game fri w/no injuries to either team. I know the atmosphere will be as good or better than the first meeting was.
