  1. We won't? That's a shame. It's too bad a 7th grader in study hall on the school's computer says were not gonna make it back to state. I was really hoping we would. Wait......I just heard your 5th period bell ring, I guess you better go to your pre-algebra class now.
  2. Well, that has to be the single most ignorant comment I have ever read on this message board. Maybe you didn't read ALL of my post. HE SHOULD NOT EVEN BE PLAYING. He only played because he wanted to so bad and coach felt he owed Wooden a few snaps. He's lucky to get 1 yard on that knee. I can't believe you were ignorant enough to put the post you did. "He should have gotten more?" Dude, HE'S ON CRUTCHES ALL WEEK.
  3. Ummmmmm...you do know Wooden has a torn MCL, right? Do you even know what that is? Lemmie explain. The MCL allows your knee free movement from side to side. Basically it allows you to start, stop, cut side to side, and so on. Basically, anything a runningback does involves the MCL. If it is torn, you run forward because that's ALL you can do. And of course his rushing numbers were pitiful, medically speaking he should not even be allowed on the field but becuase he worked so hard to get to this point, he convinced doctors to let hin play a few snaps. I'll bet your like a sophomore in high school who has no idea about anything that is going on and just make blind comments like that because you "think" you know what is going on. You're one of those people who read the stats after the game and say "Wow, they really held Wooden" when you have no clue that he has a torn MCL.
  4. Would you please shut up about how you think Landers is better than Wooden. You claim to know alot about football but then you make stupid claims like that. You only say that because, according to you, your son plays for CPA. How could you watch Chris Wooden run in game 2 against CPA and say you'd pick Landers. I'm glad you support your team that your son plays on, but be serious. And then you rip Wooden cause he has long runs. If you don't like it, then tell your defense to tackle him. And you are complaining about averages. Averages mean Averages. It means sometimes you get less and sometimes you get more. Quit taking away from a great performance from a future "Saturday afternoon" player. And what about Landers long runs. How about that touchdown in game 2 at the end of the quarter? It was a long run. Take some of those out and his average is less. Take Landers anyday, and I'll take Wooden. Cause only one of the two are gonna be playing on saturdays. Wooden.
  5. Drew Jackson, not Drew Wooden. Just a simple mistake there "unbiased".
  6. Any posts that state Chris Wooden will be limited on offense are greatly exaggerated. Yes, he was hurt. However, let me remind people that injuries heal. Because the field is turf and doesn't "give" well, I would suspect he may be limited on defense(which is a shame because of the injury to meacham also), but anyone who believes Wooden will be limited on offense because of an injury that occured 3 weeks ago friday, will be greatly suprised at his ability to return from an injury. However, with that said........how well Chris Wooden plays, depends on Chris Wooden's determination to play, and the assistance of the offensive line.
  7. And while I'm on the subject....YOU ARE WRONG. The facemask call was not wrong because I was standing right in front of it when it happened and I was facing the away bleachers. Let's analyze this a moment. Wooden goes down with his head facing the home bleachers, the side that I was standing, and he was also tackled on the side of the field closest to the DCA sidelines. How could you, ON THE AWAY BLEACHERS--- ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FIELD see a facemask call anyway when the BACK of Wooden's helemt was all that was visible from your angle. HE WAS FACING OUR BLEACHERS.......Hmmmmm....Maybe you watched the coaches tape and saw it.......WAIT...the coaches tape is filmed on the same side of the away bleachers. Wooden was tackled 50 yards from you with his facemask facing the COMPLETE OPPOSITE direction from the angle of the away bleachers. All you could see was the back of his helmet. Don't tell me there wasn't a face mask penalty. EVERYONE in the DCA stands, and the DCA players on the sidelines, don't stand up and start screaming "FACEMASK!!!!" at one time cause they want to. They do it cause they saw it. And I can HONESTLY say, it happened right in front of me.
  8. Before you harass the refs about calls in favor of DCA, what about the "assisting the runner" called AGAINST DCA on 3rd and short on that final drive that made it 3rd and 6 instead. I don't hear you complaining about that call, even though I've NEVER seen it called in my lifetime and I doubt many other people have either. Luckily, we all know that DCA was the better team last night. And we won.
  9. Not true!!! The line judge WILL be returning next year but unfortunately for you, fayette will not, and they probably will never be heard from again. However, we will ask the head referee to review his call of the "assisting the runner" against DCA on 3rd and short that made it 3rd and 6 instead. Somehow you babies keep forgetting THAT penalty that went against DCA and only focus on the penalties called against YOU.
  10. Chris Wooden is simply put, the best player in DCA's history. (And yes, I know all about Scooter Edwards. I know someone will bring that up.) If Wooden stayed healthy this year and was able to rack up a couple hundred yards these last few games, he'd have had a chance to break DCA's rushing record. He still may have a chance even with his injury, but it's a little doubtful. Anyway, for those that saw the game friday, you know that just his presence on the field fires up the team. Congrats to Wooden for playing when everyone, including the doctors said you couldn't, and congrats to Matt Meacham for being the dominating back when Wooden was hurt.
  11. Lol...that's funny... with a comment like that, you sure fit the stereotype of someone that goes to Ezell.
  12. Hey stupid, I would too. And the only person who knows if he is gonna play is Wooden. And what's the big deal anyway? Are you saying Wooden is such a good athelete that there is no way DCA can win without him? There sure is a great compliment. I'm sure he'd appreciate it. But a back is only as good as his line. If the holes are big enough, a truck could drive through them. Since you know so much about football you should know it doesn't mater who the back is. It's ALL about the boys up front. If DCA wins it's because of the line. If Ezell wins it's because of the line.
  13. Hey NoMoore, how about you post unverified information no more. Source, what are you talking about? He doesn't need a source stupid. He's on the team. He goes to DCA. His source is that he goes to practice and sees what is going on. You don't even play football or you would be at practice right now instead of posting stuff.
  14. Really? We can't? Wow, I guess we better give up now. Since we can't play a game like that again I guess we have no choice but to forfeit before friday night. Well, I better go call TSSAA and tell them "We give up. A 7th grade kid from Ezell-Harding says we can't play a good game two weeks in a row so we surrender." Thanks for informing us of that 53fan, now we don't even have to try.
  15. I don't know who your sources are, but if Wooden himself din't tell you that, I don't think I'd be believing everything I hear.
