qbsdad, yeah you are right i didnt go inside too much but i knew what i could do and i did it. It wasnt like i took bad shots and just chucked up everytime i touched it, granted i did shoot it a lot but that is in the past and we are talking about this years team and they will be different from last years team more athletic, but not as good shooters but more physical, which is why i think they may be better off if they can play there style of basketball.

Splains hornet, Yeah i remember those games i played in them and played against the players. Halls has the Jones kid and West always has talent, and they also beat a very good Bearden team last year. We shouldn't have beat West last year, I made a stupid pass at the end of the game that was defelected and luckly I got the ball back and threw it to Alvin for a layup at the other end to make the score 45-43. Anyway preseason stuff is stupid because everybody analyzies from last year and that is false since this year is a new year.

Bonfire, I remember playing against L.C. when he coached there and they were weak but now that i think about it they did play good defense. But it will take more his reputation with some of the players Carter has in their program. I remember last year when coach would not even care if the jv guys missed pratice and coach never begged them to come to pratice because he thought that if a player wants to come to pratice he will come. I am definetly giving Coach Mitchell a chance though, I hear that he is good. But the combined basketball IQ on the team is not very high. Dont think that i am bashing the progaram because i am not i love this program but unless attitude changes are made it will be a struggle for coach Mitchell to get what he wants done the first year. He may get one out of ten players to stay who went to the middle school but it is hard when the kids want to go to A-E and Fulton to play for those programs and who can blame then really.

Redrage Carter I mean come on they we won 5 games last year. I played with those guys and unless the new coach has at totaly new attitude adjustment for them they will continue to stuggle. Plus I have heard reports about thier shooting so they may have to turn to running the ball and pressing to score. They may not have lost two of the most flashy players from last years team but they lost work ethic and dedication. These guys would make up the most ridiculous excuses to miss pratice. This year they will struggle but i agree that in a year or so they will be a good team finishing third or higher in the district. The reason the guys that are now cant win is because they dont listen to coaches and they just do whatever they want.

Splains hornet i agree with the first few on your list but how can carter be ahead of teams that we lost to last year and after losing the best coach in the school's history. Oh yeah and watch out for the team he now coaches because they have some players. With a 6'6 center and the Cunnigham kid who plays qb at the 3 CAK is going to be good. Not to mention they have the coach that know more about basketball than everyone posting on this board combined.

I would have to agree if you are going to get A-E you will have to get them early. I played at Carter and we beat them two years in a row with their basketball players still playing football. They are a totally different team about January. Although Clinton has a good program and an amazing coach this scrimmage is good for confidence on the outside but when broken down into the real meaning it means nothing.

I played in the KIL last year and there is no way South-Doyle is the second best team in Knoxville. I played at Carter and we weren't very good and when we scrimmaged them they were nothing special, solid but not an over powering team. A-E is the best team in Knoxville every year let's get real. Fulton is also at the top every year. If we lined the teams up in a tourney the top three would be as follows: 1. A-E 2. Fulton 3. Beardon
