1. I am not sure about school, TSSAA or city & county regulations but I do know that they have to have a "Fireworks Display" permit from the State of Tennessee Department of Insurance and Commerce. The permit Fee is $50.00 per event which in this case would be each game and must have a minimum insurance coverage and the person shooting the fireworks must be adequately trained. If a school fails to do this then they can be charged with a misdemeanor for each offense..... Which possibly could bring a 11 month 29 day sentence and a hefty fine..... If you shouyld have any questions about this call the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance - division oFire Safety - Fireworks Permits and they can tell you all about the law.
2. I was tod today that they have kids from piblic school playing on their team as well.... I guess that is ok.... Not being a member of a governing body there isnt any rules that have to be followed. Heck if they wanted to they could let 20 year olds play. I wish the kids well but I am not sure that this is fair to the students whom parents pay for them to attend school there and get beat out for playing time by some kid who dont attend the school. I also understand that they have some scholarship kids in school which would have meant that they would have to play Division II in TSSAA which would have been an absoulute disaster.....
3. What a JOKE.... WHCA isnt even a member of the TSSAA anymore after joining and never fielding a varsity sport much less a JV team. I am sure that their High School team next year will also play 8 vs. 8. As far as their new field next year on their new campus, well time will tell.... But for almost 7 years now there was going to be this new BIG CAMPUS and it still remains a vacant lot... I sincerely wish you guys the best... But I hope you arent playing behind a smoke screen, by needing one thing and getting something else...
4. Didnt he win a couple of State Championships in Missouri? I believe he played for the University of Arkansas back in the 70's. Possibly for Eddie Sutton.
5. Who were the Coaches of the years in each District and Classification this??
6. Sportster, You are a better person than I am in this matter. For me it would be hard to "Turn the other Cheek", but I would be out for an "Eye for an Eye". But everyone will be held accountable for their actions someday even BAD COACHES.
7. I learned something new this afternoon, that some Private Schools that are not members of the TSSAA even go get players to play on their teams whom are not even students in the school. One word "LUDICROUS". I'm not sure if LightHouse does this or not but it sure is funny how they suppossedly got so good from one season to the next after dropping out of the TSSAA.
8. LightHouse will definately have some rough days ahead and you will be surprised of other coaches whom will help set the matter straight. If this is true it is hard to imagine a school administrator allowing it to continue. 65 point lead and in a full court press UNIMAGINABLE! Good Luck Heritage keep your heads up your day will come.
9. Looks like it going to be an interesting year! Greenbrier is definately a surprise especially with 2 of their better playing quiting. Springfield is evidentally better, even though their record may not show it. Hume Fogg I'm not sure about figred with their size and speed they would be better Station Camp like Greenbrier is kind of a surprise, knocking off Hume Fogg. Lipscomb is good but probably not as string as in the past couple of years. Portland is definately dependent to much on their Top Player (Brewer). Macon County is WAY DOWN this year! East Lit. & MLK I'm not sure about LOOKS LIKE A PRETTY EVEN YEAR IN THE DISTRICT ALOT MORE THAN IN YEARS PAST!
10. lets just let his performance speak for itself when the games count, not at a playday or at summer camp! Good Luck to all this year and may the best TEAM win! WELL SAID DEVILFANATIC
11. Look guys or gals This thread is about Corey Brewer not a comparison to other players. It would be hard to compare him to Tyler since they both have different games and talents. Granted I hope to see them both on T.V. in a few years either playing against each other or who knows maybe even playing together. Good Luck at Florida and Good luck to Tyler on another championship.
12. Not sure about a State Championship but they should have a good season. Who are some of the tougher teams they will play this year outside the district?
13. Timber

8 AA

I understand that Greenbriers couple of sophomores are pretty tall 6'6"+ and have developed rather well over the summer. Is this true? Someone at work told me that.
14. That couldnt make for a good situation!
