  1. Top Ten Players in District 7-AA In no Order 1. Lashay Davis Upperman 2. Chelsey Taylor Upperman 3. Holly Compton Macon County 4. Ashley Matthews Livingston 5. Shelby Jordon Livingston 6. jennifer Maynord Upperman 7. Meagan Adams Cannon County 8. Allison West Livingston 9. Jessica Massey Smith county 10. Molly Eacret York Just a thought
  2. This district will be very balanced this season. Predictions will be hard but here we go: 1. Upperman Coach McWilliams does a very good job and his teams always play hard. 2. Livingston Returing a great player in freshman of the year in Chase Dunn, this team will be very good by tourney timde. 3. Cannon County People say how, after a 1-29 season, but saw them at MTSU and they a re a different team. Also heard from a coach in the district that they added a player from Coffee County that will help. 4. Smith County Good shooter in Sanders and a streaky player with Rively. 5. Dekalb County Always play hard and will fed of off last year. 6. York Coach does a very good job and Jamestowen is always a tough place to play. 7. Macon County losing Stinson will be a tough person to replace. This may not be a fair assesment of the Tigers but I do not know enouigh about there other players.

How is the big girl? I had heard a rumor that she was not running or doing anything with the team the last couple of weeks, because of a medical reason. I hope this is not true, hope everything goes well for her. This district will be top heavy with Smit, LA and Upperman. Then Macon sits and waits to upset someone. York and Cannon, if they get the Adams girl back could upset someone and who knows about Dekalb. Can't wait for this race to get started.

Smith County will be good there is no doubt, if the big plays they will be better. But and a big question is how will they replace Monica and Tara that is two weapons to have to replace. People will not be as wide open as in the past because so much attention was on Mo and Tara. Upperman is the early favorite, how could they not be a team that went 11-1 in the district tourney and return everybody. Livingston will be a contender for the top spot also with the key returns that they have and with some of there freshman. Macon County could be the surprise team in this district this year with Compton and there shooters returning, Lafayette is always a tough place to play no matter who goes to that gym. York will be the one that everyone will have to wait and see how they respond losing Brandi Brown, how will the other players adjust and step up. Cannon will be rebuilding losing three starters. And Dekalb should be a little better but you never know how they will be. Should be wide open 2-5, but the 1 spot would bee the Lady Bees. With the district and region tournament at Upperman this year it gives the Bees and Lady Bees advantage this year. Predictions: 1. Upperman - everyone returns thats enough 2. Livingston - experience early will help this team. 3. Smith County - If they can replace Monica and Tara's leadership andscoring could have a good year, if the big girl plays and pans out. 4. Macon County - Could be third if the come together, must prove they can win on the road in this district against the top teams. 5. Cannon County and York - Toss up here 7. Dekalb County - Will the streak end this year?
  5. Warrior, we know who you are. ha ha ha ha ha. How did the White county scrimmage go? Better be ready for Taft they are coming to get you.
  6. footballman do you play for the lions? how is everything going since the loss of the fb, and qb from last year?
  7. Has the big 8th grade prodigy left Jackson County to go back to play for Smith County?
  8. Heard through rumor mill in dunlap that C.Barger will be offered the job soon. Interviews are to start next week and coach annouced soon.
  9. Friendship is not very good but a good defensive effort by the Owlettes. Macon County is the scariest team in District 7-aa, they have not been blown out by anyone and will be a dangerous five or six seed to play in this tourney.
  10. Reading the Tullahoma link with 43 straight losses, and I know Dekalb County's is at 82 straight district losses, what is the longest streak does anyone know?
  11. I keep hearing that Chad Barger wants this job, is this true? Where is he now, I know he left but would he come back and coach the Indians? This would be a good hire.
  12. How is RBS number 1, yes they are a good team but they lost to the number 9 team in the poll. Clarkrange and Jackson are way underrated. Class A 1. Red Boiling Springs (2) 16-1 61 2. Gleason (1) 16-2 52 3. (tie) Copper Basin (3) 11-0 40 3. (tie) Wayne Co. 14-3 40 5. Madison 12-2 39 6. Coalfield 11-2 22 7. Whitwell 11-2 20 8. Collinwood 11-3 25 9. Jackson Co. n/a 19 10. Clarkrange 14-4 14
  13. Top players in 7-AA 1. Brandi Brown York 2. Ashley Matthews Livingston 3. Monica Hembree Smith County 4. Chelsey Taylor Upperman 5. Kelsee McDaniels Upperman 6. Haley Mullins Livingston 7. Holly Compton Macon County 8. Lana Spry Cannon County 9. Jada Ledbetter Livingston 10. Tara Sleeper Smith County
  14. Sleep23 Smith County will be good Hembree will take them along way. Sleeper if healthy will help alot with shooting and ball handling. But post game could be questionable. Point guard position is key for this team. Sevier and Massey girls will have to step up to go to the next level. I know it is a judgement on your part but LA forth, I don't know about that at all. York will be tough with Brandi you know that and if she stays healthy they could be the sneak up team. Upperman will be good with there style of play. After those four Macon and Cannon could surprise by the end of the year. Should be another great year in District 7-AA.
  15. Who will be the frontrunners in this district this year? Predictions: 1. Livingston- have a lot of good players coming back. Look for this group to make it back to the region and possible state tourney run. 2. Upperman- lost Mead but still have a stable full of young good players. 3. Smith county- Hembree the most exciting player in this area, Sleeper coming back off of knee injury, but this team could be very good. 4. York- Brandi Brown is one of the best players in state, she will lead this team as far as she can. 5. Cannon County- new coach, new players that is about all anyone knows. 6. Macon county- lost a lot from last year but have a good point guard. 7. Dekalb County- 0 for whatever and will continue that this year in this district. Best Games this year: Cannon County vs Smith County: Coach Dodgen returns to Carthage, Smith should win with all the talent but it will be a good atmoshpere. Livingston vs York and Upperman: Could decide alot about this district. Best coaches: Dana Mcwilliams: Upperman Lesley smith: Livingston
  16. Pigeon Forge should win if they will get the ball inside to Dodgen and Ramsey, if that would have happen last night against Claiborne the missing and sick girlswould not be an issue. I have watched PF play many times this year and they have two of the best post players in the league and area, but it seemes they arenot used very wisely. Either one is used or they don't play hard to figure out, yes they have goodguards but at this time of the year you better get it inside to your best playmakers. Set egos and pride asside do not care who makes the all-district teams and just play team basketball and PF should be in the state tourney for th first time. Good luck LADY TIGERS!!!!!!!!
  17. Seeda 1,2,3,4 and 7 are locked in Upperman is #1 Jackson County #2 Smith County # 3 Livingston is # 4 beecause if it is a three way tie they win the tie-breaker over these two because they beat Smith County. Dekalb is #7 *** Now if Cannon beats Jackson then it is a real mess****
  18. Does anyone know who Lebanon has scrimmage and how do they look, will they be at the top or bottom of 7-AAA. Also how has other 7-AAA teams done in scrimmages?
  19. Well what will happen this year? Predictions: 1 Upperman 2. Smith County 3. Livingston 4. Jackson 5. Cannon 6. York 7. Dekalb Jackson County and Livingston will be tough again this year I would not be surprised if one of them is not holding the district and region plaque at the end of the year, reason being Coaching, Coach Smith and Brown do a great job. Upperman will also be solid, ther big loss was Cody Brown gave everyone in the district fits last year, but Coach McWilliams will do a good job again this year with her young talent. Smith County, a lot has been said about them on this site recently, I ddo not know how good they can be, they do have a good proven player in Chumney, but who will help her they lost the Goolsby girl from last year. There coaching will be key in making a good run this year. Cannon County the darkhorse in this region they have a great coach in Soloman-James, and very good players could be the team that no one is talking about that could win it all. York, Brandi Brown enough said. Dekalb, Coach Harrison has done a good job with the little talent that he has had, give him some time and it will get better. One good thing in thios is district is the coaches.
  20. Setter: How is your neck after you had to turn and watch all of those hoemruns in the first inning off of the Lady Commandos bats. Just a little suggestion I am not from Carthage or Gordonsville, but you need to worry more about yourself and your team than always worried about Smith County's softball team, because our team put a whooping on you yesterday.
  21. The mental errors where by the fielders, I have watched Smith County play only a few times and they looked bad yesterday, players did not re act to balls hit right to them, did not cover home plate on wild pitches and just did not get the big hit, they had bases loaded three times and got no runs out of the situation. Hopefully that was the Lady Owls one bad game of the year. Congrats to Dekalb you played great and Redmon pitched a very good and strong game.
  22. LTM: Yes they do shoot free throws well all the time. Yes your second string post is okay just a little slow. I really like your startes though the Rayfield girl I thnk was her name and I think number 42 play hard and post hard and as a basketball guru, it is difficult to watch when people pst and the ball never goes in, but I am not the coach of your team just a fan who loves basketball. Your guards are good but sometimes they force way to much, and turnovers you said it if they have that many on Wed against E-Town see ya next year for sure. Why not beat South Greene this year do not wait until next year, do it this year.
  23. Lady Tigers Mom, I will agree with you that they should beat E-Town, but I have only seen Pigeon Forge play three times this year the first round of the district and finals game and last night. To beat E-Town you will not be able to rely on your guards as much as they shot last night. E-Town will take that away. You have a good post game with your girls inside but they don't see the ball much, but when they do it seems like they finish or get fouled or set one of your shooters up with a great pass. Good luck to the lady tigers I saw last night where your program is new and you have a very young team. And if you get South Greene again beat Ricker!!!!
  24. Who would be some canidates for the job if the boys job came open? Also I heard maybe the girls job was coming open also????
  25. It does sound bad, sounds like daddy was a little jealous of other players and could not handle his daughters being second fiddle, but who are the ones punished here? It sounds like the girls are, they seem to be very good hearted girls who love the game of basketball and the parents are living their dream out instead of letting the girls play. Rumor has it that Clarkrange, Onieda(sp), and Livingston are the frontrunners. But anyway good luck to two good girls and hopefully your parents will support the next team that you are on. Jackson you have gotten enough transfers for awhile I know you guys have to be running out of houses and jobs to give to parents and kids.
