  1. Livingston has a really quick and fundamentally sound team. They have came a long way from the last time I saw them at summer camp. They totally dominated the 2nd half from great outside shooting to controlling the boards. I was real impressed by the point guard from Clarkrange, though. What grade is she in? I think I remember her from the State Tourn. I can't wait to watch some more UC basketball!
  2. Two juniors from Clarkrange (2004 State Champs from the UC), Ramsey lighting it up, awesome passes, and great rebounder for her size, and Cravens (the point guard) dishin the rock and one of the best ball handlers I've seen in girls' high school play. She sees the floor so well, also. They were both All-Tournament players of the State Tournament. Watch out for these two impact players.
  3. First of all I want to say Congratulations to all 7A teams, but most of CLARKRANGE, for bringing home the Gold! And I've been reading these posts, and I've watched both teams play all year...and I have to say the Best team won it all. And just like I thought was the same about Clay Co. didn't get to play their football and cheap elbow games down at Murphy and they got put out, and I was glad, they're the rudest group of young girls and even grown adults I've ever seen in high school basketball. And how old are you 'onthego'...7 or 8?? And if those girls are so great why did their Coach even quit on them? But anyways you guys can cry all you want, because the #1 team won! I would put Michelle Snow against those 'two' from Clay Co any day. and notice the 'two' you have to have 'two' just to even compare to the STATE MVP! And if they are so great why isn't either one of them a Miss Basketball Finalist? huh?? But we saw who really performed at the Big Dance. And I know CelinaDawg18 or onthego or someone from Celina will get on here and try to say its the system's fault or something is the reason they ain't a miss basketball. But as my old coach says if your really the better team or player, the refs won't matter. So all you people still getting on here trying to put down Clarkrange go ahead we don't care, because we're THE 2004 CLASS 'A' STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!! p.s. No Ramsey didn't have any airballs....Just an All-Tournament to throw up in ya'lls faces!!!!! which may I mention not 1 Clay Co. player got!
  4. THE BEST TEAM WON! Where you not there at the game, did you not hear them announce the 2004 TN State Champions...Clarkrange! Peabody05 needs to quit re assuring theirself, and having a pitty party on how ya'll played....if ya'll were such a great team.. and as you say supposivley still the best, well let's see here, REAL champions come out every game ready for the game, and expecially for the most important one! So, no, if they were the best single A team, they would've won, but they're not, Clarkrange IS!!, so quit crying, except the loss, and get over yourself Peabody05.
  5. I think this will be a close game. I think if Clarkrange can control the posts, especially #44, which will be hard to do, she is a very good player. But Huntington's press may bother Clarkrange. But I think if Clarkrange is on with the 3's, they'll win by 4-6, maybe more if they foul and shoot free throws. On the other hand, if Huntington's #44 has about a 25 point game, and they control the boards, they'll win by about 4-6. Good luck to both teams! My sister's team is already out...
  6. I've never got to see Peabody play, what's their strengths? Who's their best players? I was just curious. Who are some tough teams they've beaten this year?
  7. Two out of the three nominees for AAA are from Shelbyville! Imagine that!
  8. I think this game will most likely go down to the last minute. But I think Clarkrange will come out on top by 4 or 5. I'm noting the key words in this quote "in the Past."Thats the past, this is the present, I just think Clarkrange has the tougher team to beat, and if they are shooting well like last night, they're are going to be hard to stop. But Clay Co. does have the tournament experience so you never know. But those teams were in the past.
  9. Upperman defeated York by 24 pts.
  10. To the one York player that got on here and commented about how their guards could handle a tough press, well from what I saw tonight my point was proven. Upperman pressed almost the whole time and York looked very fatigued, especially Brown, I think she had about 3 defenders on her a lot. She is a very tough player, I guess it would take that many on her to stop her. What does this put Upperman and York in the district standings? Great game Lady Bees.
  11. Do you think this game will be another close one? the last game between these teams ended up 37-34. Who do you think will come out on top this game? Or does Clarkrange even stand a chance in Livingston?
  12. The all mighty 4-time defending AA State Champs (Jackson County), doesn't count theirs either. Everyone does it. Even the ones you wouldn't think would.
  13. All these polls are is someone's opinion, what really matters is whose left in the end, and if any of you have been around basketball as much as I have, then you know anything can happen around tournament times, a lot of the time this is when you have more of your upsets, is around the tournaments. And not taking anything away from West or East TN, but ya'll don't have to go through as many as good teams that Middle TN teams do, for example Oneida (from east TN) usually makes it to the State every year, and I bet there is at least 10-15 teams that could them from just Middle TN, they usually get killed in the first round of the state, too. This my opinion though, all that matters is who wins when it counts because all people remember is how you finished, all these polls don't mean crap in the end.
  14. Watertown maybe one of the biggest gym's in Region 4A. But Region 4AA usually has there's at Tech or White Co. it needs to be bigger because all the team's fans are coming together. I guess that just means a lot of people standing.
  15. Congrats to York. you girls kept the score closer than I predicted, but then again it sounds like Hensley was out the second half, but I gotta give you credit because it was at Kermit Forkum. Jill24, I was just saying my opinion on your guards, thats just what I saw, but when a team really presses you all hard, I would like to see the outcome, I hope York proves me wrong. I totally agree with gon2thenet, this coach has been there a while with some great talent, even when I played back in the day, and with that talent you figured they could be doing better every year instead just being around 3-5th place in the district. But then again this is one of the hardest district in the state. I just think York needed to wisen up and gotten a new coach years ago.
