don't know what you call a nail bitter but uc had the ball inside the 10 late in the game with a chance to take it to overtime. as far as workin on passing game you got to take the talent you got and wse it in teh best interest of your team and i think coach mac did a great job of that thios year. we passed a lot last year but threw a l;ot of passes to the other team and that gets you beat in a hurry.

you said same thing only worse before the union county game. maybe you should give the patriots a little credit instead of sayin a-e had a bad game and you can wipe a little egg of yo face at tha same time.

with the annual victory over the claiborne bulldogs the patriots are in the playoffs for teh fiurst time ever. with two games left vs harriman and seymore a victory would give them the best record they have had in several years. and this team returns almost all their team for next year. great job coach, and congrats to the team.

congrats are in order for coach mac and company. just shows what can be done when you go about it the right way. come on out patriot fans and watch this TEAM play. what a difference. i hope thta administration can realize they have a keeper in coach mac and actually keep him instead of lettin him get away somewhere else.

didn't say we were, but at least on that night we were better than the gap, and if we are no great team where does that put the gap in the grand scheme of things?

sounds like an excuse for gettin beat to me. sometimes is better to give a little credit to the team that beat ya.

i do beleive the patriots of union county will sweep claiborne county this year. we already got the gap and the puppies are next.

you prboly know about as much about union as i do about volunteer which is not much but the scores so far. i won't put down volunteer if you lay off my team.

mom i responded to your post about football. if you don't like the other posts don't read them. doubleplay north would kick volunteers butt so i guess thaty tells us how bad volunteer is to.

bulldog, my posts have never been negative about my team and i do think we have the coach to rebuild the team to respectability in place now if we will allow him to do it without p[olitics and pay him enough to stay here. i have never tried to dodge the fact that i did not care for our former coach not as a person i don't really know him but as a coach and talking to several kids that played for him they most all said everybody was not treated the same on the team. it definately had nothing to do with the fact he is from claiborne county. in fact one of the best teachers ever at union county was from claiborne peggy debusk and i loved her to death. by the way bulldog you never did answer my question of why you only post on union county sites and never try to do anything exceppt poke funn at or run down union county. i answered your question, you ran away and hid from mine. that tells me a little about what kind of person you are.

well bulldog15 all you said is good, and i don't see any body from union on here running down the kids. i do not get on here and run down your bulldogs on any of their posts, and in fact if you look at my posts i have beeen very complimentary of coach harville and thought he should have been district coach of the year last year so my question to you is why are all of your posts something negative about union county in some way can u answer that for me. shouldn't you be out supporting the bulldogs insteaad of trying to poke fun at the patriots in some way. in my opinion you seem obcessed with us if not explain your posts. u come to our thread i do not invade any of yopur bulldog threads.

ah bulldog15 i see you are still obsessed with the patriots. a bulldog fan that has made 0 posts about his own team and every post about union county, but since your bulldogs can't beat us in anything but gorls bb i can see why you are so concerned. let me say that the defense is better as well as the fact that we now try to run the ball which eats up some time off the clock instead of trying to pass every down. other teams can't score when there offence is on the sidelines and our offense while it has not the firepower of last years team controlles the clock more. i bet if we get the same chance that we had last year against gibbs we won't throw it away literally. it is good to know however we can count on a victory oct 15 against your beloved bulldogs. ollie that is pretty weak attempt at humor. take it where it will be appreciated. laduke i have been following union for a few years now and evry body that i talked to that followed football said that we had teh best group of athletes that we had ever had, so either they were wrong or it was wasted.

aben, 33 points to pigeon, in the 30's to coalfiels, and 14 you say to cg. that is over 70 points given up and three losses last year. if you can't see an improvement then you ain't been to see them play. they only give up 24 points to those three teams this year and one victory. and u say the last few years was a buildin block. bull do do. you think this years team is even half as ta;ented as last year u got your head buried in the sanxd. i' m no expert at football, but everybody said the group of players that we had the lasr four years was the best ever at this school. $ says give last years tean to coach mac and he wins 7-8 games minimum.

this game may not be as easy as you think. the patriots are not as tallented or deep as they have been the past few years, but the coaching far majkes up for it. so farv they are 1-2 but have only allowed 24 points in three games to teams that blew them out the last three years. i only hope that coach mac will stay around long enuvf to rebuild what was thrown away in the past, but knowing how low the pay is here he will probaly do what the other good coaches have done in the past and leave for a betterr paying job.

bulldog15, thank goodness for them claiborne bulldogs. we don't have to worry with 60 point losses to them in fact we haven't lost to claiborne in about 10-12 years, so go chew on your milkbone little puppy. kingbrian3, will coalfield be as good as last year? didn't they lose a very good qb?
