  1. You have any idea who I am?
  2. Good call. I should have included Anderson and Smith in that post.
  3. Well, "D", it doesn't help you put McKenzie Rebel Camera Man at the bottom of your post.
  4. Who is psycho rebel? he was pounding me the other night. anyway, enough about huntingdon. we have to focus on the task at hand, Cheatam Co. From what I have read big and physical and can hurt you running or passing. Defense is going to have to play to form I know they can play at. I will let you know Friday night who I am. You know me. If it wasn't for some idiots on here I would you tell you here but you know how people are.
  5. No, I am not either of those initials but I think I know who you are. Did you use to film for us? Anyway, yes you are right about the slant. I saw that a few times. I have seen it a few times this year where I thought the slant was there all night. Against Westview, the CB were playing outside shoulder vs our receivers. What I mean from this, is that they were giving the inside route all night. Almost like they were taking away the long pass to Lacy and Duncan. As far as the Huntingdon game, it has alot to do w/ Drew. He and the receivers have to be on the same page and have to learn how to communicate on the field. However, I did catch the LB's dropping in a zone coverage after showing blitz. So that may be the reason the slant was not thrown as much. Before the ball is snapped the slant may be there but when it is snapped "Poof", instead of having your reciever on a island one on one, there is a extra body. This could explain why Drew was flushed out of the pocket so much. His line blocking broke down to quick b/c they dropped a LB or rolled a Safety up and took out the slant. To be honest w/ you, from what I saw, they for the most part kept 4 down lineman and rushed no more than one at a time. Pretty much saying were are going to take away the pass but us running if you can.
  6. Duckman and Psycho, did you play at mckenzie and if so when?
  7. I agree w/ you also. We opened w/ them and even though we pitched the shut out vs Obion, the score was alot closer than what it was. Wes Moore has a very strong arm so I can see why he was football finalist. Very impressive. Wish he was a little taller. Could play college somewhere.
  8. Hayes to Lacey or Duncan from McKenzie
  9. wannab, Bink, Bink, Bink, Bink!!!! See ya in the booth.
  10. I agree totally w/ both of you. I am not saying that Cook and Campbell are not 2 of the hardest runners in west tn. No doubt they are. To be honest, if we are going to run the ball, we need to do more misdirection b/c it is not our backs not running it is our line not blocking consistently. It may be b/c of fatique since they play both ways. But you can't fault them for that b/c they are the toughest kids I think we have ever had on the line in a few years. If we run a little more mis-direction, it may cofuse a LB here or there and we may pop the long one more often. W/ our backs, if you give me 3 yards and a cloud of dust, most of the time, if we only get 9 yards they'll give us a first down. Duckman and Psycho, did you guys play at McKenzie and if so when?
  11. rebel, come on. coach comer has tried. against a quality opponent we have not ran the ball consistently. I am not saying we don't have any running game, but we have not ran the ball on a consistant basis. Don't get me wrong, i love watching Drew sling that ball. But the coach in me also tells me if we are going to go deep in the playoffs, we are going to have to find a way to run the ball on a consistan basis. It all starts up front. If you give Cook or Campbell a crease of any kind, they will pick up a minimum of 3 yards on shear power.
  12. Drew Hayes (Soph)of McKenzie has over 2500 this year.
  13. Congrats Mustangs on your victory. I will say I am one Rebel fan who was not on here talking all the trash due to it shows no class. Your speed in the backfield is awesome. Once you broke outside, we could not catch you. I am curious though, how many yards did Bell have? It just seemed like that Weathers and Donald had the big #'s. Not trying say anything in a negative way about Bell just wonder what his stats were. Anyway, I thought we did a good job of stopping your run in the "I" when you ran between the tackles. When you did jump into the I-Wing or the Wing T that is when Donald popped the 2 big long runs. Weathers did have one good long run out of the "I" when he bounced outside. Hats off to your "D"!! I thought that was the big story of the game. Coach Mans did as I expected. He lined 4 down dropped everyone else in pass coverage and pretty much said, if you are going to beat us, you are going to beat us running. Which is not one of our strong points. The 4 big plays for TD's and the pressure of your D was the difference. May be if Hayes doesn't fumble when we are on the 5 the first series it may have been closer. Another thing I noticed was the push of the line in the 1st half vs the 2nd half. You could tell the depth of Huntingdon in the second half was starting to show. McKenzie was getting decent push in the 1st half but about 1/2 way through the 3rd quarter you could see Huntingdon starting to control the LOS. Again, congrats and I wish you well vs Harpeth.
  14. 2nd best BDP. The best was us winning the state vs a Melrose team whom everyone wrote us off. I am from the class of 90. Live in West Tn now.
  15. Thanks. I am just tired of all the nonsense on here. Good luck to you guys tomorrow night. I would suggest getting there early, like in an hour from now.
  16. Let me say this. It is time to quit all the trash talking about who is better and who is going to do what to whom. The fans who come on here and make intelligent and thought out remarks are to be commended. The ones of you who come on here and all you do is try to degrade the other team needs to be booted from the system. If you are a player who is involved in the game, you really don't need to be on here talking trash. You need to be focusing on Friday night and what you need to do. I am a McKenzie fan and most of the McKenzie players who are on here probably know who I am. I know for a fact some of the fans on here know me. Players for both Huntingdon and McKenzie, I wish you all a good, clean game Friday night. Don't lose focus on that it is just a game. Conduct yourself on the field Friday night in a way that represents yourself, school and most of all your community. Remember something else. You have many smaller eyes watching you on the field and you all are a role model for the future Rebels and Mustangs. Good luck to both teams and whoever wins or loses remember this: Play w/ Pride and Lose w/ Pride.
  17. stang, I will be honest. Vs Dresden, McKenzie did not play well at all. It looked as though we had never been on a football field. Take nothing away from Dresden, they are a good football team. Westview was just flat out beating us. We seemed to be there but Westview is not a bad football team. They are young but w/ some talent.
  18. To be honest, most of McKenzie's players play both ways w/ the exception of Hayes. Hollowell on D doesn't go both ways. Cook does and Howell does play offense occasionally. So the advantage does go to Huntingdon if this is the case.
  19. Here is the way I see it. The game comes down to McKenzie's D stopping the Huntingdon awesome stable of RB's. And Huntingdon stopping McKenzie's passing attack. Now, in the past, Huntingdon has ran the Wing T. This year have they not went to a I formation? We saw early in the season that McKenzie's stuffed people when they ran in the I. I will say though, they have not seen any talent that compares to Huntingdons backs. So, McKenzie must control the line of scrimmage on both Defense and Offense. McKenzie on offense, they must find someway to rush the ball. The line has to be able to give Cook holes to run in the middle. Huntingdon has too much speed for Cook to bounce outside. Hayes must have time to throw and he can not, I repeat can not force the ball. He has to make good decisions and the receivers must keep making the catches they have made all year. On defense, they must get push and cause havoc in the backfield. Now, if I was Huntingdon and I have watched the last 3 game films of McKenzie (Chester Co and Dresden), I would go back to the Wing T b/c McKenzie has had trouble stopping it. The LB's must cross check the backs and watch the guards pulling to take them to the ball. The DE must stay at home, check reverse and not get sucked in. DB's also must be disciplined and not think that all Huntingdon is going to do is run, run, run. They must play pass first and run second. Special Teams: Kick off coverage. McKenzie must stay in there lanes and make sure tackles.
  20. The usual loss in round 3? I believe we got to the semi-finals 2 years in a row.
  21. I had heard that they changed to the I. But when they watch film on McKenzie, they will see that against Chester Co and Dresden, McKenzie's D had a hard time adjusting to it. Who is your team?
  22. Rebel players, especially #33 and #4, stay focused on this week. Don't overlook Westview. Play them one at a time. Focus on Huntingdon Saturday morning. Offensive line, give Drew time to throw and he will pick them apart. Defense, don't get caught up in the hand fakes in the Wing T. Follow the guards/fullback. They will lead you to the ball.
  23. I agree w/ you on not overlooking Westview. Even though they are not as strong as in the past they will be ready and McKenzie needs to look only to week 9 and not ahead to week 10.
  24. I heard on the radio that Adamsville scored 2 TD's in the last 2 minutes or something like that.
  25. Congrats to the McKenzie D for getting on the right page in the second half and not giving up the big play. Also, great job by the offensive line giving Hayes time to hit is targets. Keep it up McKenzie!!!! Next Stop: MARTIN Westview!
