Congratulations to SP! That defense was as advertised and the best one we have seen this year. Offensively, having seen all three Mr. Football finalists up close, Farrior should have been on that list hands down! Kid is a beast. I hope Wellington is ok. Hated to see that young man go down. First class!! And for those that want to bump their gums about us not being deserving of being there. Where was your team sitting yesterday? I read most of these post and will comment on those posts that are in good spirit or positive about either team. I will not get into a pissing match with some clown that hides behind a keyboard who continues to try to belittle the accomplishments of kids or programs. That is nonsense and not worth our time. About to head that way. Save travels to all. Of course I am picking the Rebels in a close one. We went through a gauntlet the last 3 weeks to get back. No one gave us a shot vs MC or Dresden. Or maybe even Cornersville. 3 Mr. Football Finalist. Regardless of the outcome, our 7 seniors have a 49-7 record in their 4 years. That is an incredible run. Comer is looking for win 210. I am not talking about last year. I am talking the last 20 years. The talent Huntingdon has had over there in those years is unreal especially in the backfield. Put that speed and athleticism in a spread/rpo offense, and watch the defenses try to defend it. You could sling it all over the field.

Agree with you on the offense. One of my buddies from Huntingdon who has had 2 boys play football with a 3rd one playing now, said he wishes he had Comer in Huntingdon. They would have had 3 balls by now.

All I know is this. We were not expected to get out of round 3 and some said maybe not round 2. And we should have just not even have showed up at our own field for rd 4. Heck, even one of Dresdens own newspapers was telling how to get tickets to Chattanooga last week before the game. I know one thing. We will come prepared and our guys will give it their all. And if anyone can game plan, it’s Comer. None the less, regardless of outcome, I will again tip my hat to SP or celebrate another gold ball with the boys from Carroll Co.

I do remember that. We got a LB or DT through the line and finally made a play. I can’t rent the kids name for LC but man he was a good back. That was a heck of a game. That year, we had zero defense but that arm of Hayes was legit.

Probably Drew Hayes and company. We lost one to them 54-52 I think it was.

27 years. Took over as HC fall of 2000. And yes, without a doubt about the job the staff has done with these young Rebels. I said at the beginning of the year that our cupboard was not empty. They just needed some time to get reps. They got a ton last year and played a lot of minutes with the team we had.
