  1. I read in the stadium rules that you aren't allowed to bring in large bags, backpacks, etc.. I sure hope garbage bags full of milk jugs are exempt.
  2. I just signed on as a Plus member this morning. I've certainly gotten more than $12 worth from just the football boards.
  3. It really shows what kind of sportsman someone is when they start running down individual players, who they've probably never even seen play, and calling them names. Sometimes it ain't too smart either ... remember the team that called Terrence Bell "Tinker Bell" last year.
  4. I'll be there cheering on the Huntingdon Mustangs. Our school colors are blue and gold but Friday night look for the predominant color on the home side to be camoflauge!
  5. Supposed to be a low of 33. Hopefully without last year's rain and snow.
  6. I'm working at home today and have to take out time to keep up with all the latest on here.
  7. Go to "my controls" at the top of the page. Then click on edit signature. Add your text and set the font size and color. Click on Img and enter the url from the pic. Find the url by right clicking on the picture and going to properties. If this works I should have one of your pics below.
  8. If you're saying that Weathers didn't deserve the Mr. Football award, which he didn't receive, I beg to differ. You apparently know nothing about him or this team. He has rushed for over 2300 yds. this season. During the regular season he had 1680 yds rushing, 21 TDs, over 200 yds receiving, and 5 interceptions. I understand your frustration that Lindsay didn't get nominated but don't take it out on a very deserving high school player. I'm sure Friday you'll see that there is no "hype" involved when it comes to Boo. Go Mustangs
  9. Boo has replaced Bell (6 TDs and 300+yds against Lipscomb) just fine. If he ever breaks through the secondary, the defense might as well take a knee. They might need the energy on the kickoff return. Donald will do just fine also. This sophmore is listed at 6'1" and 205. The Milan radio announcers Friday night refered to him as a college running back running on a high school team. When he runs it seems that the defensive players are the ones taking the licks.
  10. 9yr.oldchamps the Huntingdon fans would be glad for you to come on to M'boro and sit on the home side with us. You're right, the more I learn about Alcoa the better the game sounds. Go Mustangs
  11. Huntingdon also has the ability to throw the ball. Crocker is over 50% for completions and I think he was 3 for 3 Friday night. You usually just don't hear much about their passing game since their running game is so good. Friday's game just keeps sounding better and better. Hope the weather is better than last year. Go Mustangs
  12. I hope you're not using the same crystal ball that Lipscomb used last year. Go Mustangs
  13. So you have seen all the teams in 2A play this year? Including Huntingdon? I've seen Huntingdon play but haven't seen Alcoa so I can't be so bold about who'll win but I do imagine it'll be a good game. Go Mustangs
  14. With the exception of a few things like the ticket fiasco and placing visitor restrooms where you weren't allowed to visit them, Friday night's game between two West TN powerhouses was a great game with a great atmosphere. On the last play of the game I saw a Milan player reach across the line of scrimage and shake the hand of a Huntingdon lineman. I also saw this in the Camden game the week before. It's a shame that a couple of high school kids, who probably weren't even factors in the game, get on here and whine about losing the game. Sure there were probably some bad calls, but try calling a game and see if you're perfect. I saw some calls that I didn't agree with on both sides. I think a few Milan posters could learn from the Camden fans and players. Following the Camden game, players were overheard congratulating Huntingdon players and telling them they were supporting them on their way to M'boro. The Camden/Huntingdon thread also ran for several days following the game but it was mostly Camden folks showing their support for the Mustangs. If you're High School Juniors or Seniors, it's time to grow up and learn to be a gracious loser. Anyone can be a good sport when they win but it shows class to be a good loser. Go Stangs
  15. Actually, I've been traveling to M'boro at least once or twice a month for well over a decade. I rarely even go through Nashville.
  16. The game was moved to Murfreesboro several years ago. If you're gonna talk smack, keep up.
  17. I understand how you feel. Last year Terrence Bell from Huntingdon wasn't nominated. He went on to break two state records in M'boro. It doesn't mean that the ones nominated aren't deserving though, Phillip Weathers is nominated this year and is very deserving.

    2A Gold Ball

And Huntingdon has a running back that according to Milan's radio announcers looks like a college running back playing on a high school team and today is just his 16th birthday.
  19. While we're on the subject of tickets, there seemed to be plenty for the Camden/Huntingdon game and there was a crowd there. Also I would like to thank whoever arranged to have port-a-potties on the visitor side. Of course, they were outside the gate and Huntingdon fans were told they could go use them but they would have to pay $7 to get back in. This isn't hearsay, it's fact. I also wondered why no tickets. If something crooked wasn't going on, it had that appearance. It was a great game and it's a shame things like this had to happen.

    2A Gold Ball

I agree, the Milan/Huntingdon had its share of smacktalking last week. All it does is get the fans riled up, the players are already ready to play. I'm sure Alcoa has a good team or else they wouldn't be playing next week. Huntingdon's defense has really peaked during the post season. It should be a great game Friday. Hope everyone has a safe trip and I'll see you in the Boro.
  21. Coach Mike Mansfield and company have the Huntingdon Mustangs headed to M'boro to defend their state title. They've done a great job again this year especially after losing several starters last year.
  22. I don't think it's in his vocabulary. I wonder if his good friend Milan05 will be Alcoa05 this week?

    2A Gold Ball

After reading most of the posts on here, its obvious Huntingdon doesn't have a chance. I guess I should save all that high priced gas and just stay home Friday. Ah what the heck, I guess I'll go on and go just to see this great Alcoa team everyone is talking about, after all seeing Lipscomb play was a treat for all us hicks from West TN last year!
  24. After I read on CoachT about fans throwing things at players it was funny that my wife came home telling that she had talked to a Huntingdon player today. He made the comment that he didn't mind playing at Milan but he didn't like the way the fans threw things at them as they came on and off the field. I hope this is an isolated incident because it would be a shame for a few unruly fans to ruin such a great game. Last weeks game against Camden was one of the best sportsman like atmospheres I've been in, just like last years semis. I know that the coaching staff and players of both Milan and Huntingdon have a lot of respect for each other and I hope everyone leaves healthy. Go Stangs!
