  1. Just a question: How would you DC faithful feel if after Blake reentered the game at around the two minute mark and up 20something, he broke his ankle and was out for the season?
  2. To catch up, all other schools would have to go to open enrollment so they can have student-athletes from outside their zone.
  3. They're not playing at the ROCK because they don't have to - If all the other schools on Milan's schedule would have agreed to it, Milan would play at Johnnie Hale Stadium every Friday night.
  4. The championship game was not washed out. It was played today and Munford beat Cordova 6-2.
  5. baseballguy12 - You must have received some incorrect information. Munford defeated Cordova 6-2 in the district championship. Munford is the #1 seed and hosts Jackson Northside while Cordova will travel to Dyersburg.
  6. Covington is the only undefeated team remaining after defeating Brighton 12 to 1 on Saturday. Sophomore hurler Tyler Mathis improved to 10-0 with the victory. Brighton will have to rebound quickly in order to beat Ripley again today. The winner of that game will play Covington in the championship.
  7. hammer dawg - Can you tell me where tonight's games are being played and game times for each?
  8. If anyone out there knows the schedule for the District 13AAA tournament, could you please post it on here. The only information I have is that it's being played at Dyersburg.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't go to school at all.
  10. You've got my respect. I only saw the Falcons play two games this year - week 7 at Anderson Co. and the championship game against Covington. The coaching staff at Fulton did an excellent job with their kids this year. It was amazing how much this team improved during the second half of the season. It looked as if the coaches developed more and more confidence in Long as the year progressed. In the championship game, they just let him go out and make the plays. And Stevens was THE MAN. He did it all and was one of the best players I saw this year. I hope he gets everything in order to have a successful career following high school. I know you guys are state champs, and I believe you could compete with any team in the state - no matter what classification. I just wish that some Fulton fans (notice I said some, not all) would show a little more humility and not talk so crazy.
  11. Maybe no one tells you how good you are because you already know and have no problems with telling everyone else how good you are.

VolunteerGeneral, Melrose may not have moved the ball very well in the 2nd half because they didn't have to. Coach Ingram may have decided to coast on in to the semifinals and leave all the tricks in the bag for Hillsboro. I wasn't at the game, so I really don't know - Just a guess.
  13. I thought of one thing Covington can say they won. Well actually two things. Those would be both games they played against Ripley at Tiny Knee Stadium this season. And in case you forgot, that 2nd win ended your season. Do you think playing tough non-region opponents may have prepared Covington a little better for the playoffs than blowout wins over Manassas and Treadwell? There were three teams tied for 1st place in Region 7-3A, which makes Covington, Ripley, and Obion Co. co-champions. That's why they had to go to tiebreakers -- to determine playoff seedings.
  14. rebebabe, I was just wondering if you would trade the win against Covington for a win in the 2nd round of the playoffs against Brighton. I assume you wouldn't since you said all that matters is that the Rebels beat Covington in Troy.
