Hixson vs. Howard and CCS vs. East Ridge ...Does anyone know the times of these games? Hixson is peaking and should've beaten Howard in their previous match-ups..In the first Hixson hit below 33% on FT's to lose narrowly..Sould be a good game..ER got lucky with CCS beating ND...ER should overpower CCS and rest Jurick and Wells for the Championship

Coach Eller and the Wildcats have the right idea on how to beat ER. They split with them the past two years but they gave up a lead under a minute at home this year that eventually went into overtime and lost. They take it right at Jurick, disregarding how many blocks he may get because usually he blocks the shots right back at them and eventually picks up the foul. They got him in foul trouble in both games early and often. If Jurick would keep his hands straight up block shots towards his teammates he would be a much bigger defensive force.6AA is unpredictable..Howard will most likely be in the finals but they could face ER,Hixson,ND,CCS if they play like they did when they beat Hixson, and maybe Sequatchie but they would have to play LIGHTS OUT

Bradford does handle the ball a ton for ER..THerfore making him a guard..shhtig guard,point guard,who cares?

We all know that the ratings system for high school athletes is flawed..Jurick is no where near the 27th best junior in the nation..He is very tall and a decent shot blocker but has no heart,plays with little motivation,gets in foul trouble,lets people get under his skin,and is unathletic..He has room for improvement and will be a D1 player as a project..Jurick needs discipline and ER's coach has never been a coach high on discipline..ER is definitely good this year and Jurick is a good high school center but give me a 6'4-6'6 athletic center and i guaruntee he will dominate Jurick..Turner is the key to tha team..He is the PG and leader and has to control Wells and Jurick who are both hot heads

I hadn't heard of what happened during halftime but I do know several key Hixson seniors were suspended for the 1st quarter of the game Friday..I can very easily see one of the kids parents having choice words with a coach during halftime..I'm not saying this is right because I dont believe it is I'm just saying I could see a parent doing this because of the easy access to the players & coaches.. It needs to be more like college ball in the aspect that coaches play whomever they think is best and if those kids parents dont like the way things are handled then theyy can leave!

Oh my lord people, I thought I made it clear in my post that I praise Maryville for being the greatest team in the state..I said numerous times that they win an thats what matters because they have coaching and discipline..I was simply saying its odd that they dont produce big time prospects and curious as to why

Ok we all know Maryville is in a class all of its own in Tennessee high school football.They are penciled in as 4A state champs each year. With this in mind it is very odd to me that they arent producing atleast 2-4 solid D1 prospects each year. Now this is not a knock on the program at all, it is a testament to the coaching and discipline. Even in close games against Knox Central they make just enough plays to win. This year rivals top 20 players from Tennessee has 1 players from Maryville,that being Tyler Maples ranked 15th.Last year they had 0 players in the top 20..I know a few years ago they produced Carl Stewart who starts at Auburn and Cade Thompson who will be a career back up at South Carolina..Alcoa has produced big time prospects but gets waxed by Maryville..Why do yall think the lack of either talent or recognition is occuring?

I think this is region 4-4A's best chance in a while to make a good showing against 4-3A..In the past it's been ugly but RB,Cleveland, and Rhea have strong teams this year..RB will make it to 3rd round

Will Scoggins play? If not it takes away Tiptons playmaking ability at RB which really hurts Cleveland..If he plays will he be 100% with that injured shoulder?

This has nothing to do with Weathers..Soddy is just down in talent..It happens..The talent is definitely down compared to years past.The size isnt even there as much as years past..You cant jus teach kids that grow 6'4 275 like theyve had in years past..Hixson is going to be very down next year..Soddy just may go 0-10 ..I feel sorry for Matt Lettner who has been one of their studs for years..It's sad he has to go out like this

This should be interesting..In years past whenever Hixson looks like they are on a roll and will win they play a poor game and lose (See Rhea County this year and Cleveland last year)...I think Hixson genuinely doesnt like White County even though they are 2 hours away..Should be a hard hitting game..White has the size advantage and Hixson has speed and athleticism to burn

I bet Hixson has 8 players going both ways including the QB which is begging for disaster. Cantrell,Addison,Hardy,Rivers,Gillespie,Mitchell are the 6 best players and all go both ways..The key matchup is gonna be up front. Hixson is undersized, Rhea is usually pretty big and physical

The reports of Red Bank having that many returning starters are false. I've been reading the reports on them this year and have been very suprised at the hype. Last year they were excellent, especially on D. I would go as far as to say they had the best D in the city. But they lost a TON of leadership an stud lineman and linbackers.. They did return almost all their skill players but we all know lineman an linebackers anchor teams. They lost Robbie Evans-LB Brandon O'Neal-LB Michael Aichele-DL Garrett Bull-DL Justin Parker-DL and Ryan Thomas-OL TJ Loveless-S..Those are 6 starters on D that I KNOW started so they couldnt have returned 8 starters
