  1. there are a lot of questions about the pc team this year. they lost 12 seniors from last years team. only 4 starters are back. and from what i read on another thread... only one coach. the word is that they are pretty fast but not very big. go vikings
  2. Anybody hearing any names for candidates for the Scotts Hill job? I hear former Riverside assistant Dusty Rhodes has applied. Isn't he at Haywood County right now?
  3. Webb coached middle school football for a couple of years. He has no idea what it takes to complete against Michael Statom, Jason Scharsch, Walt Smith, Wade Comer, Bob Robertson, Leslie Mote, etc.
  4. With almost a full roster back this year, and dunkle in his second year, they should be fighting for first place in the district. What does the rest of the district have this season? Summertown is usually pretty good. I think these two teams will be fighting for first and second and maybe Waynesboro in the top three. Go vikings
  5. right now he has not been given a coaching supplement back. and i agree that a serious program usually has 4 to 5 coaches. back to one of your earlier questions... last year spring was after baseball season in may and i think coach bradley will probably do that in order for the baseball players to be able to practice. does Pyscomom know how many besides cole are playing baseball?
  6. yea i forgot about him #25 i believe, he has really good hands and runs the ball really hard which i know coach bradley liked about him... we were talking about him the other day. Gellioun is a stout looking kid and with a little weight training can be really big. a lot of talent on the eigth grade team... i just hope they dont let the baseball coach and basketball coach talk them out of playing football..... which happens alot over here in linden... it is rediculous. most of the players on the basketball team just play basketball 365 days a year... look how that is paying off right now lol it was like that when i was in school and it always will be.
  7. the vikings i think will bounce back from losing all those seniors. the leader of the team is back (chris reed) the 2nd best qb in the region... although they call the position a tail back. cory jones the center is coming back off injury. i think the junior and sophmore linemen will be just as good if not better than the ones we lost. as for the 8th graders coming up.... the best prospect i think is Brandon Jones ... heck the mercer kid may not even play in highschool... what a waste that will be because he has the speed.. just needs coached up on ball control and running lanes. the peevehouse kid may also be a good one. he made some great plays on defense last year. the team may have some bumps in the road that comes with the youth of the team but they will be fun to watch. cant wait. go vikings
  8. if they dont deserve then no one does.. derek phillips didnt play offense and still racked up over 700 all purpose yards of returns and int returns. never played a down of offense. francis also had interecptions, sacks, blocked field goals and punt blocks... do some homework before you down the vikings... boy. sorry you didnt make it.
  9. There are a couple of reasons i think you are against this type of All State. 1. you didnt make it. 2. your son didnt make it. 3. your coach was to lazy to go and blamed the system for why you or your teammates didnt make it. 4. your coach didnt nominate you because your not the best on your team i would love to know who you thought shouldnt be on this list. and why? and who would take that persons place. since you are obviously an expert on everyone stats.
  10. most of those that graduated were linemen. i hear that 3 kids will be playing next season that can run faster than the backfield they had this year. plus the young guys that Yale mentioned. just remember last year pc wasnt suppossed to be good and look what happened... it is all about believing in the system. go vikings
  11. 100% correct. take up your problem with your coach that didnt take time to write a name down and send it in.. if your coach went to the championship game he could have voted as well.
  12. there will be two players faster the jackrabbit next year and two backs that will also run it down your throat. i think we lost a lot of linemen though. go vikings
  13. why are you bashing players for making an all state team.. the players from pc both had great stats this year. they could have played on anyone's starting defense. this shows you have no class. would it have killed the jcs coaches to travel a mile or two to get there players nominated... they were in the boro for some game that weekend werent they. to say a sports writer is not bias is rediculus. they are bias to the regions they cover. how are coaches votes bias? they know the players better than anybody. quit whinning.
  14. #11 chris reed from perry county will be a play maker next year. #7 derek phillips #30 derek clandening marcus smith... get used to that name in the future, a big linemen. and i hear some kids that didnt play last year will make a difference next season.
  15. here are the players from perry county high school that made all region, sorry i dont know the rest, all region Chris Reed Robert Francis (also made Tenn. coaches All State) Dustin McCaig Josh Rogers honorable mention Joseph Tutor Derek Phillips (also made Tenn. coaches All State) Hunter Garrison Michael Wisdom Region 6A kicker of the year Micheal Barnett. sorry i dont know any of the rest. these were announced this morning so i am sure all schools should know by now. go vikings
  16. i agree, region 6 is the most competitive single A region out there. the top 8 teams in our region would definitly compete for top spots in a lot of other regions. good luck to all you seniors out there.
  17. joseph tutor.#13 perry county high school. over 800 yards this season as a fb. his tb also had a lot of yards. i think he only ran one play and even when the defense knew he was coming he still made 5.3 yards per carry.
  18. Robert Francis #55 MLB perry county high school. 125 tackles in 10 games..... 48 for loss or no gain. 1 int. 1 blocked field goal. and early in the year pulled his young counsin and sister out of burning house!!! he had to enter through a window to get to her because the house was close to being completly ingulfed in flames.
  19. basketball does have the titles, football will be along shortly. b ball has been around for a million years and football for only 9. go vikings
  20. try being a football fan in Linden, Perry county is all about the basketball. middle school started in October. i went to ms basketball game on monday and then went to collinwood to watch our pretty good ms team get domolished by the trojans. then the same thing happened the next two weeks they even had a game during the bowl game championship week!!!! most highschool basketball players dont play football. i can think of one and he probably wont start basketball. here is another thing that no other school can say.... our basketball team has more paid coaches than the football team. i wonder who the stepson is in Linden?
  21. thats a good one tell me though... did you count that record up all by yourself or use a calculator? i bet you used your fingers!
  22. boo hoo hoo.........take my picture.....you missed one shot....get over it!! at least you have a photographer like that. hey man come to perry county and take some pictures. we would love to have a photographer.. some of the best pictures are taken when we play mtp and ca. you do a great job and keep up the good work.
  23. i thought i may come to see this game..but where is Jo Byrns? i am west of nashville. thanks for any help.
  24. those are some good nominations. sounds like you did your homework or a good memory of who you played... i would add micheal barnett (the kicker) to perry county.. kicker of the year!!!!!! when will we know this for sure.
