  1. Someone with more than 4 posts, Walter.
  2. I find it hard to believe that CCS wont be in the top 5. Even if they lost some seniors, they always have a great squad. I think FRA will be one of the top teams as well.
  3. Jorj, you are also wise beyond your years! Thanks for the clarification. Twinkles, good to see you back on coach T. Hope things are going well. Stop by if you get a chance and see Big G Express. He says he misses you!
  4. Are you kidding, or are you for real? They must have gotten some transfers, or some real good freshmen. They had great heart last year, but not a whole lot of talent. That's great if they are. We'll see in a few weeks.
  5. Big G said that you guys had your win last year at Regions! Hope to see you this spring at the games!
  6. We play them this Friday. We'll let you know.
  7. Big G says you are wise beyond your years!
  8. For a first scrimmage for both teams, I saw good things as well as things that could be improved upon. If these two teams met later in the season, who knows? Yeah, Bearden did not have some very good players in, and yes CAK basically only played with 12 guys, but it was a SCRIMMAGE. I think CAK got out of it more than Bearden did. It is a rare thing to play a team that aggressive and talented in A/AA until State (taking exception to LC). I wish Bearden the best of luck.
  9. You are quite correct. I believe they promised the TSSAA $75,000+ more than other locals. That usually will turn some heads.
  10. I believe it can take 9 games, though I understand your point. I was as dissappointed as most with the conditions last season. But that was with a lot of rain... maybe it will be better this year.
  11. Elizabethton or Sullivan South
  12. Once again, a WONDERFUL idea. I don't see it happening, but who knows...
  13. That's the best idea I have heard yet. Too bad it wont happen.
  14. This is why Florida high schools have a 10 goal differencial after the first half. Call it the slaughter rule or whatever. Satellite High school would score 10 in the first half and then the game was over. Thatsignorant, it's not you against the world. There will always be people against high scoring games, and always people for it. The thread wanted to create controversy and it accomplished that. Apparently you guys have a great team. Understand that anytime you score 10+ goals there will always be people against you. I personally don't care for that, but I'm not going to post negative threads against it. You guys are having too good of a season to talk smack. Let your victories do the talking, and let these types of threads roll of your back.
  15. I haven't seen O.R. play this season, but I would say that odds are in Farragut's favor. With Doyle scoring goals right and left, and the overall size and strength of all of Farragut's team I think Farragut will win this one. O.R. will give them a good game though. Farragut 4 O.R. 2.
  16. We came out determined not to let them score. They maybe had 2 good looks at goal the whole night. Their keeper is good, but Jason had an amazing night. We did score a crap goal... Jason took a shot from the 18, and their keeper had it covered, but it hit a clod of grass (you now all about our lovely fields!) and it bounced the other way. They played the counter attack well, but our defense played great out of the air, and it took their attack away. They were a good team, and gave us a better game than Gibbs. We just found the net more, and our defense didn't make the mistakes like they did against Gibbs. Well played, Kingston.
  17. We are REALLY looking forward to this game. We have faced them twice, and won by a one goal margin both times. LC plays with a lot of passion, and I know they will bring it on Thursday. CAK is a much less emotional team, with I think a more solid 11. This is a biggie, because whoever wins will go in the opposite bracket from FRA and CCS. I'm calling CAK (of course) 2-1. See you Thursday, LCsoccer, and BigG says don't take any crap about your shoes!
  18. I don't know why he locked the best coaching thing, BUT... it is his site, so he has the right to do so.
  19. Gibbs is very confident coming into this game, and could find LC asleep. I actually would love to watch this game, but will be busy fighting Kingston. I think LC has an edge, especially in playing in big games. I really can see it going to overtime, since LC hasn't had huge scoring success. We'll see...
  20. Hey, let's keep religion out of it. You guys are above that.
  21. That is a GREAT idea in concept, but extremely difficult in reality. Who ranks them? Do you go by record, strength of schedule, goals for and against? Tough one. I admit one side of the bracket gets hosed. I don't know how to fix it, though.
  22. Based on your definition on "getting thumped", it has happened to DB more than Science Hill. Oak Ridge is the #5 team in the state. They also played Farragut to a 2-1 game. Now, I dissapprove of the 26-0 "victory" against Boone, but I wouldn't take Science Hill lightly. DB, you have a pretty good schedule, so I think you will be able to play with them. Don't get overconfident, but be ready to play. Good luck, and I look forward to the outcome.
  23. I guess I take the CAK story thing as a compliment, so thanks!! And Webb, good luck. You guys have great talent. If you have worked on your conditioning since we played you, that will make the difference at state! You gus have a good team.
  24. Congrats to Webb! Great win guys. Good luck on Tuesday.
  25. What do you think? I think it all depends on who shows up. Both teams can be hot and both can be ice cold. LCsoccer, BigG says you'd better get your butt in gear!!!! I'm calling LC 3-2, but a great game by both sides. Is it at LC?
