Here comes my biased views, Corbin Walker deserves to be on there he in my opinion is just as good as boyette, he splits time in travel with kahn from ravenwood who made 3rd team (which is garbage too, hes better than boyette) and then also Chris Rowe deserves credit as well. I was surprised to not see Lazear either. Also, Taylor Smith deserves better than 3rd team. Ogilvie is the right pick for player of the year no disagreeing there and the rest of the first team seems legit. Rodney is a great keeper, but its easy to win when you have the 10 guys in front of you that he does, thats why i think walker deserves some credit

I had the privelage of playing against him twice this year and i must say i was quite impressed with his skill and im pretty sure hes only a freshman i think that is what i heard. I have seen him in several club tournaments as well, i havent played against him in those bc he is younger, but i must say he has impressed me. He plays very mature and has a pretty good nose for the goal.

It should be a toss up between corbin walker and mark mcwatters in my opinion, maybe the slight edge to corbin, bc mark had the better team to help him out. Yesterday was only a 2-0 game with corbin in goal (well basically 1-0 they scored 1 off of a pass back that corbin could do nothing with)

Okay first of all one of the calls you are arguing should have been a PK, the other one however was not a foul the BA defender simply beat your guy to the ball, sure he used a little body, but this is high level soccer bud get used to it. Also if you are going to go that route, then you need to look at it both ways, BA had a legitimate scoring chance in the first half and got called offsides when there was cleary atleast 2 defenders back (this came off a corner kick). Secondly, your sweeper chopped one of our forwards from behind and it was a no call in the box, so look at it both ways bud. And you say that you are the better, but i simply must ask you, are you playing next week? I think the best team won, that is my biased opinion. You guys have strong talent, but do not play as a team at all and you played right into BA's game last night. You let their defense make plays and began pushing your players up in the attack which is exactly what BA wants and then they caught you with quick counters, that is their game and it worked last night. Actually BA played a good game, they played the game just how they wanted to play it. That is their style of play, their defense is their strongest part of the team so they like to play very defensive and score all of their goals in transistion, which is exactly what they did last night. You say that USN missed several breakaways but i can really only think of 2 that they missed and it is because they have no finesse it is unexcuasable to miss over the goal from 10 yards out. BA played its game, USN got frustrated and BA took advantage its that simple. And dont even try to blame the refs that what all teams do when they lose. We played with the same refs and got just as many bad calls as you did. Good season USN, but instead of trying to make up excuses and talking about how you should still be playing why not give props to a strong BA team who came out ready to play and did what it took to win. Good luck to the 4 remaining its going to be a dog fight.

Any predictions on tonites BA v USN matchup in the first round of the tourny? I think it should be a great game. I give the edge slightly to BA though for depth reasons mainly, USN is down to something like 13 players where BA has 19 dressing and about 17 who are capable of putting out solid minutes. It will be a battle of the Defenses I do believe. My Prediction: BA 1 USN 0 Anyone else have any thoughts on this game?

I wouldn't say that they played bad, but they did not play as well as the probally should have. Hume Fogg has a great sweeper and keeper and that is what kept them in the game. BA definatly had more chances to take the game over most notably missing a PK and then have 2 shots hit the post about 4 minutes later. The score could have been worse in favor of BA but hume fogg is defintaley a good team and they will for sure make a run in A/AA, all the really lack is a good offensive punch and they will be good, but as far as your questing BA had to work for it because of Humes keeper and sweeper.

Who all has USN lost, and will they be back for the tourny? that is ashame that players are calling it quits with so little time left. I hope that you guys get everyone back, because i anticipate this to be a great game and i tihnk it will be.

BA is a 5 seed and yes hume got manhandled by FRA, but FRA is a good team and aside from that game Hume is a good team.

BA should be higher, they tied centennial in a game they probally should have won. They have a terrible record, but if you look at who they have played you will see why that is the case and not to mention, other than baylor they have played everyone relatively well, and the baylor game was kinda fluky 2 crappy goals and a PK on a wet field and then BA just folded. Also they just beat hume fogg whom everyone seems to classify as a pretty solid team. I have no seen independence play, but i am pretty sure that a team of freshman and sophomores would not beat BA, actually i would be willing to probally bet my house on it.

Pretty big non region win for BA tonite, beating hume fogg 1-0 at hume fogg on senior night. It was a good game, BA i think had slightly a few more chances, but hume did have a sequence where to shots went off the post. However, BA missed a PK, thats always depressing. But it was a good game as the score indicates and BA seems to be getting on the right track heading into the tourny, cant wait for tourny time!

I hate it when people get on here and create greatest player threads for each position and just talk about the player on there own team, but im gunna have to do it anyway lol. Corbin Walker from BA definatly needs to be mentioned on this list, he has incredible insticts and continues to keep BA in games. However he just recently has been moved to midfield where he is playing well, but come tournament time i think he will be back in the goal because that is where can really make a difference. Anyone who has played against BA has to have respect for Corbin (unless you are baylor, awful game, worst game i have seen from the kid)

I think you have some good insight, but i agree with natural spring water, that BA will be beat USN. Here are my arguements. USN has not played nearly the schedule that BA has played, and BA has been playing teams very tough. The first meeting was dominated by BA the entire first half and then was fairly even for the first part of the second with USN dominating at the end, getting there goal off of a free kick. Also BA played USN with fuchs in goal, he is now out, that i believe will play a huge part. Also BA finally has offense going, yesterday they got off 28 shots against webb. I know that it is Webb, but 28 shots is still quite a few, granted only 2 went in, but still i feel if the put pressure on the USN keeper they will win. And as far as when BA played MBA, you say that they got anialted, which the score says (3-0). However if you recall or where there, that game was played on the first day of spring break, the mind of the team was nowhere near the field. Also, if you were there, you saw that the BA coach made a statement by pulling 8 of his starters 15 minutes into the game and not putting them back in until late in the second half, because he felt like they werent playing up to there ability. That game is hard to judge. I say that the BA MBA game will be a good game, because i feel like MBA thinks that the third spot is basically just going to be given to them, but BA still has a bitter taste in its mouth from that game. And as far as your question about weather or not the USN MBA game will be the best one, i think it will be. I think that the consolation game will be the best game in tournament. Here is why, the championship game will be a good game, but both teams by that point are already in the state tournament and coaches often times know that and the teams know that and sometimes these games are not played up to there potential. The consolation game is a live or die game. USN and BA both still feel like they have something to prove and they want it bad, they are both the underdog a role that USN played beautifully last year. BA on the other hand has not played to the potential that they are capable of yet this year and they are ready to show the world what they can do. MBA beat BA 3-0 and i think that if they are playing BA they may come into the game thinking it is going to be a walk in the park and BA will slip right in and do what USN did to them last year.
