  1. How in the world was it a 7-9 game? Details...
  2. Congrats to LC and Kingston. Looks like old rivals are coming to Regions again! CAK plays Gibbs at 7:00 on Friday at CAK. I would love some details about the Oneida game...
  3. Notre Dame yes, Catholic no. I aggree with the last post. Catholic believes.
  4. Let us know either way...

    Grace

Looking at Grace's schedule, the only team that they played that seemed hard was Baylor (good win there by the way), and CCS beat Sweetwater 7-2, while Grace only beat them 2-0. Seriously, nothing against Grace since I haven't seen them, but will they be able to beat CCS? Once again, I am only going by the strength of their schedule. They may be a VERY good team, I just don't know.
  6. I would dissagree with the "semi poor week" thing for CAK. Even though we lost, it was against arguably one of the top teams in the state. And it was only 1-0. Plus Baylor and McCallie are also good schools, so CCS doesn't drop much in my opinion. This happens when you schedule the top teams to play. All of the teams that you mentioned could easily go 15-0 if they scheduled weak teams. They chose not to. But yes, I would guess that there is some dissappointment from those teams, but nothing we can't overcome.
  7. I think that football guy talked a little too much.
  8. Keep up with your rankings, Lemmiwinks, I think it's great. When you think about it, they mean as much as soccerinfo. So be proud!
  9. LCsoccer, have you heard anything about your player being able to play?
  10. Just giving him a hard time. I figured as much.
  11. LCsoccer... how in the heck did you know its weight. BigGexpress says you are a soccer geek! Ha!
  12. Good post Seldon. You're right about bias, and that tends to cloud one's vision. Thanks for the compliments. Farragut gave us a GREAT game, and I hold them in the highest regards. Good luck Admirals.
  13. I guess what I was asking is IF Farragut wins their region and IF Brentwood wins their region, can they meet in the finals?
  14. Can Brentwood and Farragut meet in the finals? The brackets in A/AA would not allow certain teams to play in the finals, like last year FRA CCS and LC were on the same side.
  15. I agree with CCS being there. Great team, but so are the other 10. Tough call.I wouldn't know who to drop.
  16. Does anyone know how many people do the rankings on soccerinfo? Is it one coach's opinion, or are there several? Our coach has applied to vote on weekly rankings, but has heard nothing back. That'sIgnorant, I think you did a good job. I'm sure there will be people who dissagree, though.
  17. Flyingv, thanks for the post. That really does mean a lot to us. I thought both teams played hard but clean. Gave hits, and took hits, but nothing was dirty. Seldon, you are entitled to your opinion and your posts. I happen to dissagree, but what gets me is it makes it sound like CAK just lucked out with a 1-0 loss. Yes, Farragut missed some opportunities, but so did CAK. I don't know who you play for, but we gave Farragut their closest game of the season as far as the score goes. I don't call that domination. I call it a great game by two teams.
  18. Looking at CA's schedule, they seem to only play one team in the top 10. That is not to say that they are not good, I just don't know much about the teams they play. Hope to see them there!

    FRA

We checked it out already, and if CAK wins the region, as well as CCS and FRA winning their region... the exact same thing will happen this year. Good for us, but I agree, kind of unfair for the rest. But there are no definites yet. We have to win Region semis to even get to finals.
  20. Usually the district brackets are set up by the district teams themselves, and not through the state. Talk to your coach, he should know who is playing who.
  21. I don't think that will happen, since CCS and FRA will most likely be in the same bracket... Unfortunate, though.
  22. Based on their records and season stats, it will be close, but I think CCS 3 McCallie 2.
  23. Regardless of the score, this is touted as being a huge game, although ironically, there are not district or state ramifications on the winner or loser. I think both teams want to give a good show, and there should be a tremendous crowd. Considering that CAK mostly gets about 50-100 fans at their games, this is going to be awesome. I have nothing but the highest respect for Farragut, and I am looking forward to tonight.

    FRA

aingus, I appreciate the vote of confidence on us being in the finals. I personally think that the state bracket is messed up, because 3 of the top 4 teams will be on one side, while only one on the other. I'll be the first to say that it helped us at state, since LC, CCS, Ridgeway, and FRA had to beat each other up to get to us. I hope to play FRA, but any of those teams is a great match up.
  25. A whole lot of class there on some of those posts, guesswho?. It's real easy to talk trash when your are typing from a computer. I happen to know a fair number of Farragut's team, and they don't act any different from most good teams that I know. Science Hill won, Farragut lost... not the end of the world for either team. Post season starts next week. We'll see what "stinks" after that.
