  1. Miles is 4-3 this season with an era of 1.85 as of 4-27-04. (All 3 loses are by one run) He has great control of his fastball, change-up and a hard curve. He has only walked 15 batters in 50 innings and 5 of those walks came on opening day in the rain at Milan. He is 6"2" with long arms and i really don't think he has reached his full potential. He works the game around 83-84 but can hit 85-86 when he lets it go
  2. i checked my source to verify what has occured here and IT'S TRUE ALL coaches of both Districts are in if my source is reliable, and she said it would be on the saturday of hall of fame week, 11/20 and she said it was girls' only if that wasn't already obvious
  3. so once again, tennisguy, you are treading in areas you don't know anything about
  4. in the SE, out of state competition pales in comparison to TN girls basketball the KY girls in the Lions club tourney always get blown out and McKenzie and obion go to basketball camps n florida and they say that the only teams that compete with them are other TN teams
  5. I was told that Dyer Co's seats about 2700 and I believe one side is chairbacked any DC fan on here to verify? the Upperman by ten over Obion was just 3pointers opening line, heavy wagering by redbirdfan has brought that line down to 8 1/2 :justwrestle:
  6. well, i don't know what year it was but a few years ago dick vitale was asked about hotbeds of basketball across the nation. this would be division one calibur players per capita and he listed as his top three: flint, michigan memphis, tn peoria, ill THIS IS IN THE NATION DUMMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you have the gall or the ignorance to come on here and say times will change LOL it has been this way for 30-40 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. looked like a sagging man, they just fronted Hooker and blocked her out every time as I can't remember her getting but one offensive rebound
  8. I had the plaeasure of watching the two Dist. 13AA teams defeat the two 14AA teams tonite at Haywood Co Gibson Co. pulled away slowly but surely with their pressure against Covington and held All-World K. Robinson in check the entire nite. Baird and McElrath were in foul trouble all night but Super Soph Kaitlyn Dudley played unbelievable and as always Reese and Farrar played extremely hard. Congratulations to Coach Russell and the girls on the winning streak. 66-42 GC over Cov. Crockett Co. tried to make it interesting by missing at least 15 free throws it seemed in the 4th quarter alone almost blowing a 13 point lead with 3 minutes left but held on 52-49. And credit the Cheresse Jones kid at Haywood with making unbelievable 3's in the closing seconds. Laru had a game plan for Jessica Hooker and his girls executed it to perfection as the Haywood leading scorer only got off TWO SHOTS THE ENTIRE GAME. But you cant miss 25+ Free throws Thursday and have a chance No matter what happens Thurs, good luck to both CCHS and GCHS against the Memphis teams on Saturday Night

  10. yeah i hear your crap midtn those teams you mentioned other than JC and LA would have gotten their butt whoopins too over here in 13AA obion co whooped Oliver Springs this year and obion was down 42-12 to westvew when the benches emptied last week in the 4th quarter
  11. wow wescharge, one of the coldest statements ever maybe you didnt know about coach lotts brother passing away and how the team could have been affected by their coach's suffering and played flat and bolivar i believe beat usj (27-2) in a HOF game very badly so they are capable
  12. looks like the two reg 7 and 4 champs would meet and the two reg 7 and 4 runnerups would meet assuming they all beat reg 8 and 3 counterparts
  13. looks like if 2 teams each come from 13aa and 7aa they will meet each other in the first round did i read that right on tssaa website?
  14. 13 AA report: gibson co: dudley and mcelrath start as sophs and 1st sub coleman is a soph Westview: bellamy and most of the guards are sophs and freshman group is underrated due to injury obion: 95% team scoring is back with great incoming 9th grade crockett co: freshmen cook and a.walker and soph j.walker made all district this year dyer co: only lose one starter, akin, mason, fisk all return Union City: freshman robinson made all district and return alot of other young players who saw alot of time
