  1. Repeating is never easy. Cannon returns everyone don't they? As far as depth, I think LA is going to be much deeper than you guys think. We'll see soon.
  2. Livingston Academy played at Liberty Tech on Saturday. Eight players made the trip with football playing on Friday night. LA lost to Craigmont by 5, beat Union City by 26, and lost to Bolivar by 4. Great showing with such a limited roster.
  3. LA played Bolivar Saturday in the Liberty Tech play day. Not sure how many Bolivar had out for football but LA only had 8 players there. Bolivar won by 4.
  4. Where are these games being played?
  5. Right. Lets get back to the game. Good luck LA. Should be a good one.
  6. good question. I do think the most effective players should start. but I don't think its the most important thing in basketball. That could be a number of different things at different times of the game or practice. Endless possibilities there.
  7. looks like Liberace is concerned with the most important thing about basketball....the starting lineup.
  8. Make no mistake. LA has a lot of respect for the boys basketball program at Pickett County. PC has been one of the best programs in the state for many years. So many great players have come from PC. People in Livingston know that and many have been very supportive of PC in the post season over the years. With that being said, every game has to be played and anything can happen in any game no matter what the size of the school. Apparently Coach Melton realizes this or he wouldn't play a schedule like he plays, incuding christmas tournaments. The same for Coach Bibb. Let this continue to be a healthy rivalry and both schools should support each other outside of the nights they play each other. Good luck to both and hope each is injury free. I know that LA has a lot of work to do getting football players in the swing of things. Just heard Huitt is sick and won't play today against Lexington and Melrose and Jackson sprained an ankle in yesterday's practice so he is questionable. Are you kidding me with this schedule? WOW! Obviously, LA has NO FEAR! GO LA!
  9. LA's football players have only had one practice so they weren't really a factor tonight either. Huitt did play some but it'll take a while for them to get into it. I'm sure you're right about Red Banks football players making a difference, but LA is in the same boat. LA is very young and played on the road and picked up a 12 point win against a scrappy athletic Red Bank basically without football players. It's not flashy but its a good start. They seemed really nervous and made some typical early season mistakes. There were good points and not so good points for everyone. LA never really looked comfortable. Nice be able to play pretty bad on the road and still pull out a win. Gotta say it though. Brad Jackson's put back dunk was THUNDEROUS! LA's got a bright future.
  10. LA plays Clarksville NE, Smyrna, and Stone Memorial at the Siegel playday. They play Clarksville NE, CPA, and Creekwood at the Harpeth playday. For HOF games, LA plays at Red Bank then plays Lexington and Melrose at Liberty Tech. WOW! LA's schedule is posted on Coacht and looks very tough.
  11. Go LA! I think this will be a close one. Here's an idea for Dragon fans....... If....IF you get the win, write the score on hundreds of pieces of paper and bring them to the LA/York basketball game......and hold them over your heads until you get way behind! That way you'll have something to be proud of at the basketball game too.
  12. LA played Greenbrier at TTU camp this summer and the coach from Greenbrier yelled at one of LA's players in a verbally threatening way during the game. Then the coach wouldn't shake the kid's hand after the game as the teams shook hands. If it is the same coach, he should grow up. I guess he'll have plenty of time to think about losing his cool now, right Gator?
  13. Yep. I had posted on these times earlier. Not sure where my other post went. I had a link to the TSSAA website which has mysteriously disappeared.
