  1. How did all the teams do? Any losses?
  2. LA lost to CPA by 7. They lost to Bolivar in OT this summer after leading by double digits.
  3. CPA does belong in the poll andd state tourney. But I don't understand your Livingston comment. Whether or not you were impressed, CPA just beat them by 7 after LA played a poor first half (to CPA's credit). Lets hope they all' stay healthy. Lots of ball before then.
  4. Do these teams have their entire schedules on here? Would that effeect the s+s rankings?
  5. I guess I should've added Brainerd. This looks like a fair poll. I guess we'll see how much we know.
  6. AA How bout these, in no order but deserve to be mentioned: Howard Dyer County CPA Livingston Academy Fulton Mitchell Marshall County White House BT Washington Station Camp
  7. There was a community called hogeye. There was a time 50 or so years ago when most of LA's players came from that community and some of the fans began the hogeye chant and I guess it stuck.
  8. I gotta say this to devil. How many girls have been through JC girls program in the last 5 years that weren't from Jackson Co.? I'd bet more than CPA's boys. Don't get mad, but I couldn't resist.
  9. i think you're selling CPA short. Not gonna say who'd win between CPA & WC, but CPA is better than decent.
  10. Good job LA in beating Buckhorn. Sounded like great D. 12-4 is pretty good with schuedule played. Get focused for the rest of the season.
  11. Goood grief. LA could be undefeated and some of you would still be dissing them or their program. LA rebounded from a tough loss and beat a good Harpeth team in less than 24 hours. Harpeth has two D1 recruits. Some people just look for something to be negative about. 11-4 with this schedule is not bad. It doesn't matter what they do, some are going to put them down.
  12. WH and SC are excellent teams that everyone knows will br tough to beat. LA is 4-0 in district play and are winning those games by an average of 18 points. May not be dominating, but it's pretty solid. Some of the games have been tough though, but LA will get everyone's best game. So far they've been able to adjust. Nothing is given. So stay tough LA.
  13. cool. there are so many ifs that could have changed this game. if LA had converted early they may never have fallen behind. but its over. i predict UC as state champs. good luck
  14. UC could be the best team in the state in any class if they play like they did against LA. Congrats UC. LA a 4 or 5 in 14A, why does that even matter if it were true. LA beat Indy, UC beat Sycamore by 10, and Indy beat Sycamore by 20. Teams match up differently. If LA had converted early it could have been different, but got behind and was forced to pressure more and play from behind outscored UC by 5 inn the second half. Congrats to UC. I'm gonna compliment you without insulting you like others in this thread from UC have done.
  15. Upperman def. Smith County 55-37 at Upperman Cannon County def. York 51-46 at Cannon Livingston Academy def. Macon County 68-51 at Macon Dekalb def. Gordonsville 89-48 at Dekalb in non district play
  16. thats cool. seems like most people do. I'm sure LA likes it that way. I'm also sure they expect to have to play well to win these games
  17. Thats funny. Had to get a slam against LA, huh? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  18. unbiased? sounds like you know a lot about york just to have read about them.
  19. Not sure what this means, but what about this. CPA hit 7 threes in the first half against LA. Did it ever occur to you that LA's post offense and dribble pentration were the reason that Mason was in foul trouble. Also, LA's Dunn was called for faking a foul (technical). Most thought there was contact by Mason, which would have had him fouled out instead of Dunn. Then there was that multiple, simultaneous foul on LA, the one where CPA scored 7 in one trip. Later they won by 7. Don't mistake these for excuses. After LA missed 13 free throws, I think CPA deserved to win the game. They are extremely good. I just don't think its fair to compare LA and Harpeth, but the numbers speak for themselves. CPA beat LA by 7 and Harpeth by 17. Does it mean that LA is better? NO, but to assume that Harpeth would've done better in a certain situation is merely speculation.
  20. This game will always be a battle.
  21. Dunn and Mason for example. Good post Dive.
  22. Great game for both teams. LA trailed by 14 at the half, but I thought their full court man to man pressure defense really made a difference as they turned up the heat the second half and cut the lead to four with a couple minutes to go. Mason and Dunn both were in foul trouble in the second and had to sit a lot. Then Dunn fouled out. I was impressed with the way LA pounded the ball inside to Ramsey and Maclerran in the second half and took it to Mason, who by the way is awesome. Great game by two impressive teams.
  23. this was about York and Cookeville. I guess we all got off topic a bit. All this strength of schedule talk. Maybe we should check York's schedule. After all, the Dragons are the reason Cookeville started 0-1. Heisman is on here insulting all the inferior schools. Dude, what does it say about your Cavs when these guys beat them? As far as it being more important for others than it is to Cookeville to play Cookeville, the only person for sure who said that was Cookeville's coach. It was in the Herald Citizen after losing to LA. I'd say you're right about the Cookeville/LA record....but can you feel the tables turning? Almost dizzying isn't it? I personally think Cookeville has a good team and will be much better as the year progresses. Looks like they gave Shelbyville a tough game. Heisman, can you give us an honest recap of that game without putting everyone else down? If so, we'd like to hear it.
