The games are at White House High School starting with GP/WH at 6:30 and GB/SC at 8:15.

Yeah, he'll play, he's been practicing this week...that is unless Ragland goes and hurts him on purpose or something... But yeah, these two teams will come out ready to play, look for this game to be just as exciting as the two semifinal games were or even more exciting...I can't wait.

#4 Greenbrier will play #2 Station Camp in the 8AA championship game tomorrow night. How does everyone think this game will go??? #1 Goodpasture will play #3 White House in the 8AA consolation game (3rd/4th place) tomorrow night. What are the predictions for this game???

Sorry, my last post must have come across the wrong way. There were people that were saying LA will probably win the first round but not the second round and I was just trying to say that if LA wins the first round, they are just as likely to win the second round, if they lose the first round they would be just as likely to lose the second round (of course they wouldn't go to the second round in that case but you understand what I mean). I was just saying the top 4 in 8AA are dead even right now so the first round and second round for LA will be equally as hard/easy, however you wanna look at it. And I totally agree with you, none of the 8AA teams is going to dominate LA, like I said in another post somewhere, there are 5 really good teams in this region and it's just a shame that only two of them can advance.

Not really sure how to take that post or what you meant by it but I'll have to admit, it was pretty funny... But I was serious about that question, I really wanna know who 7AA thinks is the best in 8AA...or at least who they don't wanna play come region tournament time... Well, not sure how things are gonna turn out in these two district tournaments but there is a possibility yall (Dekalb) might meet up with us (Greenbrier) in the first round, but good luck for the rest of the district tournament and in regions.

Took a while but we got ya that upset Just wanted to point out that that "bench-warming senior that can't play a lick" dropped 20 on Goodpasture last night.

This was an 8AA classic, this game was the most exciting game of the year for GB and its fans (which there were alot of and I hope all of them plus more show up for the championship game )...the guards for Greenbrier really stepped it up last night filling in for GB's posts who were on the bench most of the first half with foul trouble. Great game for Geoffrey Sanders and Kurt Caton...not only were they the two leading scorers for GB but they were also the two guards who defended CJ Davis the whole night only allowing him 15 points, mostly in the first half and all very hard-earned. Hey, I like this guy ...well like I said, Greenbrier was gonna have to come out in this tournament and play really well to get some recognition that they haven't had up to this point in the season, and they've done that the last two games against Portland and Goodpasture, I just hope they can continue to play like they have been which will make for a good game with their 8AA "friendly" rivals Station Camp in the championship

Yeah without MLK and Lipscomb this district's overall strength has dropped, but the top four teams are all pretty equal and that's all that goes to regions so LA is just as likely to win/or lose their first round game as they are their second round game. And now that Goodpasture has the chance to come in 4th in the 8AA tournament if they don't come out and play well against White House, LA could meet up with GP in the first round,or possibly the second so it won't be easy for LA either way.

I knew there was a reason why I told you not to look too far ahead , but that's okay, I'm pretty sure anybody else would have agreed with you that Goodpasture was gonna be in the championship game...anybody except for the Greenbrier players...GB was fired up for this semi-final game and proved how even all 4 of these teams are by beating Goodpasture tonight 73-65. Great game tonight by Geoffrey Sanders and Kurt Caton, two guards who really stepped up their play to pull this one out. Also great game to Zach Frey from Goodpasture who had 37 points and barley hit the rim on any of his shots, much less missed. Every time he shot the ball it was just "swish" but GB was able to get passed that and pull off the upset. Right now it's looking like LA will play Goodpasture or White House in the first round bc Greenbrier beat Goodpasture tonight in the semi-finals. And that's just it, the top 4 teams in this district are all very even so Station Camp being 2nd place doesn't necessarily mean they are better than 3rd or 4th place or worse than 1st place...you never know what's gonna happen in this district b/c they are all good, but I do think LA is a good team and will definitely be good competition for whoever they play in the region from 8AA. It's gonna be hard only sending 2 of these 5 teams(LA,GB,GP,SC,WH) from this region to substate (thats considering Macon or Upperman or whoever doesn't pull the upset in the first round of the region).

No, definitely not, Bey probly has like a 45 in. vertical compared to Greer's 25 in. vertical, I was just saying that Greer wasn't scared to get dunked on again and he went up with him and he blocked him that next time around. But nah, Greer can't jump with Bey, but his height does help him in those situations.

These are some good teams...but at the single A level. If either of these teams played these 10 schools, it would not be a close game. Believe me, I've played against Friendship Christian twice this year, beating them once pretty easily, and I've also played against Sycamore twice this season and they beat us easily both times. We've played close to Goodpasture once this year and they beat us once pretty easily and we play them again tonight and these are just the bottom two teams on the list, but I'm pretty sure Goodpasture, and the rest of these teams on this list are better than those single A teams you mentioned. Nothing against them, but single A teams are rarely gonna get recognition on a top-10 or whatever list when AA and AAA teams are included, the talent level is just too different.

White House beat DCA 69-21 and were led by Ricky Ladd with 16 points. Greenbrier beat Portland 61-40 and were led by Logan Greer with 22 points and Lance Adams with 21 points on 10/10 shooting from the field and 1/1 from the free throw line...100% shooting night for Adams. Man, that's a very bad thing to hear. They are a couple of great guys and great basketball players. We'll keep them in our prayers.

Yeah I know what you meant, I was j/k. Portland has gotten better. The first time GB played Portland GB won by 39, but the second time GB won by 15, and it took a strong fourth quarter to pull away. Portland also only lost to SC by 5 so yeah Portland is doing alot better. And you're definitely looking ahead alot saying SC will have to get by White House because WH has to beat DCA first and also saying that then SC will play Goodpasture because GP will have to beat the winner of GB/Portland first. It will definitely take an upset or two for you to be wrong, but I still wouldn't say those things until they happen because this district is very even.

Ouch, Greenbrier's not gettin much love ...GB will definitely have to come out playing their best basketball in this tournament to get some respect. They've been okay against Portland the two times they have played this year but GB doesn't need to overlook them.

Nah, Greer wasn't just around him...like theoldballcoach said, #4 caught a pass on a breakaway and lost the handle at first and once he got it back and went up for the dunk Greer was there to block it...but #4 has some great ups and also jumps really quickly off the floor and was able to dunk around Greer who was right there at the goal with him. Just so you know, I gave Springfield credit way before GB even played them this year. I predicted Springfield to come in the top 2 in their new AAA district and look what has happened...they came in second. I also gave them credit the first time they beat us by saying they were a very good team and shot really well. And as far as Homecoming goes, GB almost always has their Homecoming night on the last home game of the year whether it be Springfield or anybody else.

In most cases you will have an all-district team which is for the whole district season, and then also an all-district tournament team which is just for the district tournament and I imagine that is probably how 7AA plans on doing it.

The last three quarters were pretty even But Sprinfield jumped out to a 26-7 lead in the first quarter on some really hot shooting while GB sat back in their 2-3 zone, which was not a very good idea to begin with and definitely wasn't a good idea to stay in it all the way through the first quarter while SF was shooting the lights out. GB should have gone man much earlier in the game, if not the whole game.
