Whit does play post. They have a talented team and a sophmore that really impressed me when I saw them play. Looking forward to getting Whit and Freed next year. Good luck with the rest of the year.

I can get you all her college stats in about a week. Gone on vacation but will be back at Freed come fri or sat. We keep all of the old player stats that have played under Coach Neal.

I have been able to be around Jana quite a bit in the last year. I agree with everyone that she is quite humble to have her talent and to be her age. I disagree with the fact she will have to play guard in college. With Jana's work ethic and ability to learn quickly I fully believe wherever she goes she can play post. And I would go as far to say that if someone recruited her as a guard only, they would be asking her to waste huge amounts of talent she has for the post position. Jana does the little things right and is one of the most aggresive post players at her age I have ever seen. Loretto has enough talent to go to the boro this year but it seems like it is gonna take some adapting to their strengths and weaknesses. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs the rest of the year.

I have to put my two cents in on this one. First things first......congrats to Jana and her awesome team. Jana you will go far and from talking with you and your mom after the Lewis game you are focused on what your goals are. And yes the maroon and gold have wanted you here from the beginning. To the discussion at hand.....Mary Beth is an unbelieveable competetor. She has battled through more injuries and set-backs than any player I have known. Watching her as a Junior I can remember being highly impressed with her style and composure. She did a wopnderful job at Freed as well showing she can compete at the next level. Jana on the other hand has a different circumstance at Loretto. Being the only really go to girl on the team she gets the offensive focus Mary Beth shared. I wouldn't wanna compare the two just beacuse they are 2 different styles. Mary Beth had a shot that was blocked maybe 2 or 3 times that I saw. An unbelieveable post player with the atitude to succeed. Good luck to Jana and will be seeing her agin this year.

Great game between two really good teams.Some stats to take note of when thinking about tonight's game.........Lewis shot 9-32 in the 1st half and was down by 12 or so at the half. Shot 11-22 in the second half and lost by two. Not sure on the decision to go for a shot instead of holding for the last one. Anyways a great game all around. Last foul should not have been called. You don't call those kinds of nit picky fouls to decide the game on it. Awesome game Jana and good luck to Loretto. Lewis.....you have a great team and will be fine this year. Get Britni healthy and your gonna make some noise down the stretch.

Good to hear the girls from Loretto doing good......a ton of talent down there with awesome girls on and off the court. Good luck Jana,Jessica and the others I met at Freed's camp this summer. Looking forward to watching ya'll play soon. Keep up the hard work....it will be worth it.

How are they going to look this year? From what little I know I would expect them to comepete for the district. Jana Cross may be one of the best players I have seen at that age in awhile. Good luck this year.
