  2. Leave it to some yahoo from Benton County to come on a thread and trash a kid. Chris was already banged up coming into the Camden game. Lets see, Chris has so far in his carear... (Along with his teammates) 1. Placed runner up in Little League State Baseball Tournament 2. Placed runner up in State Basketball Tournament (7th grade) 3. State Basketball Champions (8th grade) 4. 2003 AA State Football Champions 5. 2003 Football All State 6. 2003 Jackson Sun Freshman Of The Year (football) 7. 2003 Jackson Sun Freshman Of The Year (basketball) 8. 2004 AA State Football Runners-Up 9. 2004 Football All State 10. 2004 All West Tennessee (football) 11. 2004 All West Tennessee (basketball) 12. 2005 Football All State 13. 2005 Mr. Football Lineman Runner Up 14. 2005 Jackson Sun Player Of The Year 15. 2005 Huntingdon Mustangs advance to 4th round of playoffs 16. 2006 #1 ranked linebacker in the country 17. 2006 #11 ranked overall player in the country SO THE QUESTION FOR YOU IS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO BE DOWNING A KID WITH THESE CREDENTIALS? MY GUESS WOULD BE NOTHING!!!
  3. He is 6'0 210 and runs a 4'5. He has been to two Ole Miss camps and they like him as a RB.
  4. Rick Minter, ND D Coordinator was in attendance, but no Charley.
  5. Yeah, but I would usually only call him that to his face. And there was usually a couple of more adjectives used. One thing about old Eric was he could take it as well as dish it out pretty good too. I miss the idiot.
  6. There have been alot of good points made on this thread. I know Wambles pretty well and can tell you he might be alot of things but a good loser is not one of them! I guarantee you NOBODY wants to win more than him. Do I agree with every call? Absolutely not. I'd love to see us get back to running the ball down peoples throats, but sometimes you gotta play the hand your dealt. Our best lineman was lost on the second series of the year because he stepped on a refs beanbag and tore his ACL...... If that's not a sign I dont know what is. Things have gone downhill from there. As snakebit as we have been it's really not fair to judge anybody I dont guess. Like somebody said referring to 2003, they had enough depth they could get better in practice. We've been busy every week plugging a new player into a position or positions because 2 or 3 went down the game before. Lets see what happens over the next three weeks before we rush to judgement......If things dont look up THEN we fire the bum!!! I'm joking, I'm joking!!! Everybody remember somebody put For Sale signs in Swenson's (The dumbest man in Huntingdon as I affectionately used to call him) yard after we lost to Harpeth in the 1st round in 2001.
  7. Heres my best guess but who knows????? 1. Milan wins out 5-5 (5-2) 2. Peabody beats Westview and GC but loses a close one to Milan 8-2 (5-2) 3. Huntingdon wins out 6-4 (5-2) 4. Westview loses to both Peabody and Milan but squeeks by Humbolt at home 7-3 (4-3)
  8. No, it wouldnt be close. Because Milan would never beat Goodpasture. Hey, I'm all for ya bud but, while Milan is a good team, they are a year away from being a title contender. (IMO)
  9. Give me Trenton over Westview 21-7
  10. These seniors HAVE to step up and the coaches need to put them in position to be able to. If Huntingdon is going to be successful we need to start playing IRONMAN football right now. Chris Donald if only at 50% needs to be on the field 100% of the time. What happened to our gameplan vs Mckenzie lining him up in the slot? We may have only attempted one pass to him that night but he garnered attention from 2 and three defenders all night long...hence we rushed for 300 yds? The same goes for McCormick, he's a playmaker and needs to be on the field all the time NOT running plays in and out. Just thought I'd get that off my chest........... I still BELIEVE in the program, players, AND coaches. They just need a little fine tuning.
  11. I'm still here, just not interested in your stank toedigging propaganda.
  12. One thing about the officiating though. What kind of moronic group of zebras won't call a penalty on someone trying to advance a fair catch but will call offsides with 3.7 seconds left in the game with 2 TD's of separation in the score? Stupid... What I think is that when he muffed the fair catch (it did hit the ground) it then became a live ball and was eligible to be advanced.
  13. You know things aint going your way when your kick returner busts into the clear on the 2nd half kickoff and falls down with a pulled hamstring. Hope #5 is ok. Great job by the Milan team, and a noble effort by the kids from Huntingdon.
  14. I have no doubt that these types of transfers happen frequently. I know of three instances in the past four years where players transfered from Huntingdon to other area schools, and there eligibility was never questioned... BUT if someone had wanted to cause trouble NONE of those players would have been eligible, because NONE of them were legal. On the other hand a couple of OUTSTANDING football players over the past few years and their parents have approached Huntingdons coaching staff about transfering and was told thanks but no thanks, it wasnt worth the shadow of impropriety. I would say if it's true the kids mom was still working at USJ thats enough to make the average person scratch their head and say HUH? On another note the Stangs looked to me to have their best practice of the year yesterday, they look ready. Some nice changes have been made on D that will pay off for us as the year progresses. Mr. Mustang, it's my understanding that Logan could maybe be back for the playoffs on a limited basis. He has a severe sprain and is in a walking boot.
  15. Whats in the past is in the past, as you are so fond of saying...."Quit making excuses." Pick a year either 1994 or 1998 and just consider last years extra player payback for one of those. EVERBODY knows thatr no other team enjoys the "Home Cooking" as much as Milan does anyway. Its like this... It will take a perfect performance from the Stangs, a few breaks to go our way, a mistake or 2 from the Dawgs, and yes maybe even a miracle for Huntingdon to come to Johnnie Hale stadium and leave with a W as things stand right now with the injuries and kinks we need to get worked out. BUT the GOOD LORD knows we are DUE some breaks, the kids wanna get a little PRIDE back, and MIRACLES happen every day.
  16. Right now we are down 3 starters who played both ways.
  17. I'm already taking backwater. According to the TSSAA website reclassification for 2007 has already occured. Huntingdons enrollment numbers are lower than several schools that will be playing 1A in 2007 including the state champ Trousdale County team BUT enrollment had to drop 20% from 04 to 07 and ours didnt. But anyway it goes back to basic enrollment numbers in 2009 and if our present #"s hold we could be playing 1A 3 years from now.
  18. Another poster on another thread said 07.
  19. I'm not calling the upset!!! I'm just sayin........ Me and you have discussed for a long time how much depth means at this level. BUT maybe the weather breaks and all these 2 way starters we got will stop wilting in the 4th quarter.
  20. FYI- Hickman County will begin play in 2A football when schools are reclassified and I will expect them to be a force in 2A football, maybe not ever a powerhouse. I am pretty sure Huntingdon will be going down to 1A as well.
  21. It sure would be sweet after all the struggles and hardships of the season up til this point to go over to Milan and put a good old fashioned country whoopin on the Bulldawgs.
  22. Will you please add a P to ChamPions Please? It unnerves me.
  23. Great job by Trenton tonight, ya'll have a hard nosed football team.
  24. Beings you are throwing the advice out heres some for you. Its ChamPions with a P......
  25. Thats not a whine just a valid observation. I LOVE cheese with wine, why dont you look me up and we can have a picnic?
